You are wrong, Douglas Costa played two games for Brazil, the same number of games Willian played for Brazil before he joined us. Its proving to be very hard to get to Brazil's squad, look at Fernandinho, F. Luis, Miranda, Willian and a lot more. How many times you've heard of Cuadrado before last season? he's also two years older than Costa. Yes Cuadrado got better rep than Costa, but it doesnt say much. My point is that people in this forum thwroing their opinions on players they dont know at all. In this case they know non of the two.
-
Honestly? i dont know who would do better here - Cuadrado or Costa. I havent seen them enough times to say, and non of them is proven in a big club. From my view, both can sit on the bench and both can play insted of Willian in the RW spot. I dont know who's more talented. And like you i would like us to get a world class RW, but there are some facts - you cant do that in January (maybe not in the summer as well), Salah and Schurlle cant contribute, and both are wanted by other teams. Therefore the club's options are: 1) To say to all teams no one is leaving us in Jan. 2) to try to sell one of those two players who cant contribute, and get a player that might will contribute. The decision is easy imo. In the summer you might have better options.

You still cant say you saw both Cuadrado and Costa enough times to say who's better and by how much, you keep talking about reputation (World cup, how many times people heard about the guy), i dont think that with this little evidence you should actaully post things like "Please dont buy him, why not Cuadrado", because its childish and silly. Our club follows those players, actually see them play. You didnt see them, yet you have no shame to talk about who should we sign. In other forums i know those kind of posts would be criticized, here its what everybody do.

thats actually true i feel... though i really like him like everybody, the hype about him is unbelievable really. Funny that suddenly Cuadrado is so wanted here after the D.Costa rumors started... when no one here saw them both more than 4 times. this forum is a disappointment, full of spoiled kids it seems. "Costa? another brazilian from Shaktar? and he doesnt score a lot? bah, give me Cuadrado... why? he aint this useless Costa!"... dont you think its embarrassing?
-
Can i ask how many times you've seen him play?
-
Montella today: "I believe it's a simple situation, he has an exit clause that he agreed to with the club: if someone pays it and he wants to leave, we can't do anything about it. But he's off the market for the club and I, but when there is a clause there is nothing you can do". The rumors about a resign if they sell Cuadrado seems like bs.

We're five points clear in the league, what the hell are you talking about? kickstart the season again? "mentality"? "freshen the place up"? ridiculous.
-
Well City arent in the best form, two loses at home and a draw in their last 3 in all competitions. Easy win on Tuesday.
-
Yes this loss is very poor from the team, but it seems people are a bit too mad.. we're 5 points clear in the top of the league, could be 8 next week, we're having a great season, the reaction from such a random loos, a once in 10 years loss, shouldnt be so agressive. Some people here are so freaking spoil. You cant win all the time.
-
yeah i dont care too much about not winning the FA cup either... especially when the likes of City and Spurs losing too... but 2-4 after 2-0 in SB.... thats crazy poor. good we couldnt see it.

According to Di Marzio, Roma are after Luiz Adriano from Shaktar, and his contract ends in June. Roma can sign only one non-EU player, so Di Marzio says Salah is the alternative if they cant convince Shaktar. Deal far from done, its just a verbal agreement between the clubs in case Roma decides to go for it.
-
Chelsea have received sufficient encouragement to believe there is scope for further negotiation for Douglas Costa (Guardian)
-
Same sources said all this time that Salah wants Roma move..
-
So there might be streams... no?
-
Shaktar always asking those prices... thats not a surprise. We'll see if they really gonna hold on to that this time.
-
thats depressing really... but how do you know that?
-
No broadcast at all or just in England?
-
It doesnt... The management of Abramovich agrees to that figure, but now wants the company of Pallotta to turn that into obligatory purchase. (GdS) For me its starting to look like there's a possibility that no one will leave and no one will come. like Jose said today, we're waiting for great offers and they didnt come till now, while Cuadrado and Costa are expensive.
-
No, his clause is 35m euros, we want to pay 25m euros, not pounds.
-
Really annonying syndrome since the Cuadrado rumor started - people who obviously didnt see him or Costa more than 3 times claiming they're average while pointing at their stats, crying that we dont look for better and more proven players, but somehow forget to even throw an example of a player (except Reus). What the heck do you all want? Right now we have no depth for the AM places, Schurlle and Salah form is garbage, you cant call them "depth", why not to replace them? if somehow Reus becomes available for us in the summer, and says he wants to join us and not Real or Bayern, do you really think Mou's gonna say 'no, tell him we have enough AMs'... i think he'll jump on this opportunity (and sell Schurlle who's probably staying for now as it seems). Because there's half a season to play until then, and because Reus will probably end up in Real or Bayern, doing business now to improve our team is more than welcomed. In the summer there's more time and more money to replace the ones arent doing their job.
-
I really like him... but to be honest i like everyone in Shaktar and their sexy football too bad its DM. Dont know who's better, him or Cuadrado, both kind a similar but he's a lefty which is better for us, like someone already said.
-
Roma is making progress on Salah deal, there could be more concrete progress in coming hours (@ManuBaio, Sky Sport journalist)
-
Italian source you should really listen to is Di Marzio (who works at Sky Italia), he has an amazing amount of stories in the last few seasons (the first to talk about Eto'o and Salah to Chelsea btw). and there are a few more journalist on twitter. And its not like Italian media is bad, Spain arent better. Sometimes they get things right and sometimes they dont. The one you should definitely not listen to is Tancredi.

Why business men meet each other face to face? i dont know... thats how it is. I guess Cuadrado wants the move and the agent meets the board to find a way it will happen (and probably talking about wages and stuff).
-
Mediaset and Cds reporting that his agent will fly to London today, to see if Chelsea are willing to pay the buy-out clause, because Fiorentina dont want to sell him in January, obviously. For me it looks like one of the deals/rumors that will happen. btw Fiorentina are playing today (5PM in England time).
