I cant agree with that. Lukaku is going to play in our "easy" games, like WBA and Norich at home, you cant compare it to games against Leverkusen and Valencia. I realy think alot of us Chelsea fans are being a bit too enthusiastic about Lukaku. Yes, he's like Drogba, yes, he's a beast and he's only 18 years old, but i dont think he's ready to do the things your expecting him to do. He's a future signing, more than anything.

Maybe Boas wants Lukaku to start his Chelsea career only in England first, May be he dont think he's ready yet. He's only 18, remmember that. About Bertrand- shame... cant understand that.

Its just for the group stage right? there wiil be another selection i think.

This. Especially the part of "After a good night sleep" lol. I think everyone was expecting Modric, so suddenly a 12M player? it was like... wtf Chels? Meireles is a quality midfielder, at the end of last season he was one of the best midfielders in the league if not the best. Great signing and i cant wait to see us play with him and Mata and Daniel... one more week.

I realy hope Sturridge will prove himself this season, because it was realy annoying trying to explain Liverpool fans that there is no way we will let Daniel go. One great performance by him would do the job...

Im getting more and more happy with the signing of Meireles, and more and more happy with our squad. If everything will go right, we can do great this season. Cant wait for Sunderland...

If you want more speed in our game, he's not the player. He's very creative, but he's more like the old-school playmaker, i dont think he fits to the fast game of the PL.

You cant say Frank is hindering Chelsea, you could say that in your opinion, keepnig Frank as a starter, its hindering Chelsea. Its not his fault. Someone has to pick him so he would be a starter.

Its hard for me right now to explain my requirements for it, i can give you examples for legends in Chelsea from last years... Lampard, JT, DD, Mou, Zola... People that did alot for this club, were here for a long time. Carlo was here for only two seasons, and he didnt do that much in that time to be called a legend.

Thought of him too, but still dont know if he's ready.. if he can bring the flair and the creativity when we need it. Hope he can, i would be absolutely delighted.

Carlo is not a Chelsea legend, its ridiculous to think he is. with all the respcet. He wasnt that great in the double season either. Even if he did, he was in Chelsea for two seasons, and he was awful in the second one. He won the double as our manager, but he didnt do anything AMAZING that we can call him a legend. Our double won more by the amazing form of Didi, Lamps and Malouda, especially in the last months of the season, than the great coching of Carlo. And dont get me wrong, he was good overall in that season, but not great.

I still cant see the logic in let Yossi go when we didnt bring someone creative like Modric, still cant see the logic in loaning him instead of selling him, but its over now, and its not AWFUL like i said yesterday. Its a stupid stupid move by our club, but its not a crucial mistake. We could have use the creativity and spark he can bring to the pitch, but we do have a very good midfield, not as creative as we wanted, but a very good midfield and with a lot of options- Meireles, Ramires, Lampard, Mikel, Romeo, Essien, Josh.... If AVB is a good manager, it can be good enough for challenging for titles. Lets see how he would work this out. (Wrote this post in Yossi's topic, thought it suits this topic too...)

They wont play with those three, they will play with Arteta, Wilshere and Song. I hope we wont play Remires and Mikel together anymore, so our middle three will be Mikel/Ramires, Miereles and Lampard. (when we have Josh, Romeo and maybe Essien later this season). That will be the best imo... but we need to see if Ramires can do this job. Like someone else said, a midfield of Rami, Mikel and Raul is to negative.

On one hand, im very disappointed, we enterd this day knowing Yossi is going to leave, and we thought Modric he's going to come. Now Yossi is leaving, and we didnt signed Modric. So i thought that we are going for someone like Moutinho, but in the end we got Meireles. I like this player alot, but im disappointed that we didnt have a better plan b or c if Modric isnt coming. On the other hand, its better than nothing, and i think he can improve our midfield. If we had Yossi and Meireles, it would have been better. Im shocked that Yossi left to Arsenal... a stupid mistake, hope we will realize we didnt need him. A very confusing day...
