I had this on my facebook, it's an interesting read : This is so awesome. Please take a moment to read: A man sat at a metro station in Washington DC and started to play the violin; it was a cold January morning. He played six Bach pieces for about 45 minutes. During that time, since it was rush hour, it was calculated that 1,100 people went through the station, most of them on their way to work. Three minutes went by, and a middle aged man noticed there was musician playing. He slowed his pace, and stopped for a few seconds, and then hurried up to meet his schedule. A minute later, the violinist received his first dollar tip: a woman threw the money in the till and without stopping, and continued to walk. A few minutes later, someone leaned against the wall to listen to him, but the man looked at his watch and started to walk again. Clearly he was late for work. The one who paid the most attention was a 3 year old boy. His mother tagged him along, hurried, but the kid stopped to look at the violinist. Finally, the mother pushed hard, and the child continued to walk, turning his head all the time. This action was repeated by several other children. All the parents, without exception, forced them to move on. In the 45 minutes the musician played, only 6 people stopped and stayed for a while. About 20 gave him money, but continued to walk their normal pace. He collected $32. When he finished playing and silence took over, no one noticed it. No one applauded, nor was there any recognition. No one knew this, but the violinist was Joshua Bell, one of the most talented musicians in the world. He had just played one of the most intricate pieces ever written, on a violin worth $3.5 million dollars. Two days before his playing in the subway, Joshua Bell sold out at a theater in Boston where the seats averaged $100. This is a real story. Joshua Bell playing incognito in the metro station was organized by the Washington Post as part of a social experiment about perception, taste, and priorities of people. The outlines were: in a commonplace environment at an inappropriate hour: Do we perceive beauty? Do we stop to appreciate it? Do we recognize the talent in an unexpected context? One of the possible conclusions from this experience could be: If we do not have a moment to stop and listen to one of the best musicians in the world playing the best music ever written, how many other things are we missing?

Torres + Courtois (a new year long loan, I mean) + £20m for Falcao. We should try it.

I watched the game with an eye. In the first all, he didn't have the ball that much, because Dijon were either attacking from the left wing or using (a lots of) long ball. Though he still managed to grab a goal on a good action (as you can see in the highlight of the game that Jaimin posted). I though he was more involved in the second half and was causing problems to Nice's defense. And he made an assist in this half, with which he showcased what his technical ability and creativity could be (i.e. classy). Overall, you can see he has brilliant ideas in the game (in term of creativity), and has a very good technic. He has already scored three goals, and all of them were important goals. He scored the leveler against Istres, the leveler against Brest, and now the opener against Nice. And all his three goals were scored outside the box !

4-0 against Milan in CL and 2-0 against Sunderland in FA Cup. And all this in one week. Is this the start of the annual Arsenal circus ?
-
He made an assit.
-
he scored a good goal !

Yeah yeah, my post was being evasive. I was just referencing to the clash AVB Vs Players (I even didn't have in mind the part I have underlined in you post).

The players are said to be against André because they don't appreciate his tactics and/or methods. It is just an excuse for them to get him sacked. Indeed, if you look at the players who are pretty much likely to be part of the group wanting André out, they are either about to be pushed out of the club by André (Kalou, Malouda) or are fringe players in André's project (Lampard). They just react this way because they fear about losing their own comfort.

If he is saying he has the support of Roman, it must be true. I don't think you can tell bullshit about Roman without being punished. So Roman support must be genuine.

This game should be very, very interesting. After all what happened since the Everton game, we will see if there's truly a cleavage in the squad, between André, the players who are backing him, and the dick heads who think they are better than him. I think I'll be more focused on the players' behavior than on the game itself. If we witness some players blatantly showing their disinterest (or should I say, their opposition) toward the manager, we must point them out and start a virulent "[enter the name of the player] out" campaign.

Comes September 2012, he must only be an unpleasant memory.

Welcome, amie transalpin.

I didn't see the match. But according to l'Équipe, he played from the 65th minutes. He seems to have had two or three good moments.
-
True. But my point was more, if size does matter, then Barça should struggle against everyone, since five of their starters (and key players) are small in size and weight. It is not the case, and despite their small size, they can cope with physical challenge. On the other hand, despite having a team composed of relatively big and tall players, we seem to lose physical battles against anyone.
-
Dani Alves -> 173 cm Xavi -> 170 cm Iniesta -> 170 cm Alexis Sanchez -> 169 cm Messi -> 169 cm These players mentioned above are not really loosing a lot of battles. If we lose a lots of battles, this is not because of our players' physical capacities and abilities, this is only because of the general apathy running the squad.
-
What the hell with Piazon ? We have players better than him in the reserve / youth team. It's fortunate for him that he looks like Kaka and not Kalou... Imagine what would be his hypes.
-
We should stop to comment on the treatment he gave to Anelka and Alex. Nobody knows what did happen. So unless we have somebody in the know here, we are not able to judge whether he is wrong or not.
-
It could be André, Santa Clause or Elizabeth II, it doesn't make a diference to my eyes. The thing which would bother me, is that old average players who would be the "boss" at the club. If it was Messi, Xavi and Puyol who would lead the front anti-AVB, then I wouldn't mind, since they are exceptional players, but no, this is only Lampard, Malouda and co, i.e. mediocre players. And finally, if it was Abramovich himself who was to sack AVB, without being adviced by the players, I would still keep watching Chelsea.
-
Go and check ManC's squad. You'll understand why there's no un-rested players.
-
Yes there's a reason why I will stop watching Chelsea if they win against André. It is merely because Chelsea isn't their toy. If they want to play despite being shit, and having a big fat check at the end of every weeks, they should fuck off to Emirates. I won't watch a team managed by a bunch of old egoistical underperforming players who are pleased with their mediocrity. You say they give so much to this club in the past, true, but since I am not a scouser I am looking toward the future, and all I see them giving to us in the future, is mediocrity.
-
If those multi-millionaires manage to get André sacked, I'll stop watching Chelsea games as long as they'll be in our club.
-
When newspapers were suggesting, at the start of the season (around september/October), that there was a problem between André and some players, people didn't want to believe it and were discrediting those newspapers. I even did put forward the possibility of some players not really listening to André's orders on the field (I have suggested that following a journo's comment on this matter), but I was told it was only media's bullshit to destabilise us. It looks now it wasn't untrue.

The journalist : "is this a rumor ?" Hazard : "yes it's a rumor, of course it's a club who is interesting me, there are great players, there's a great coach I think, but I have signed nothing [with no teams], it will happen soon I hope. But for the moment I am focusing on Lille."
