  1. I agree with what he said, but I am not sure if it's right to be said by him.
  2. We should pick our next striker taking into account his personality first and only then his scoring abilities. You just can see that Morata isn't going to be a success here, no matter what. He's not enough of a prick, he's fragile and sensitive. We need a bully, someone confident, someone who can bounce back and not fall into a depresion after missing a sitter. Cavani would be terrific, but I don't think he wants Europa League football. I'd also take Mariano Diaz, from Lyon, in a heartbeat.
  3. I have a mate who's an Arsenal fan and he was pissed when we signed Giroud, even if they signed Aubameyang almost simultaneously. However, my mate always says "Giroud's gonna score" when he sees him coming off the bench. I absolutely love his passion and ambition. He just looks so confident and has that look in his eyes. Hope he'll stay here for a lot of years.
  4. I have no doubts that we'll trash them. 3-0. Come on!
  5. Beats me how we can never play like this. Ever. We never have a serious go at this kind of opponents, no matter if Mourinho, Conte, Ancelotti or anyone else is our manager. Why can't we have that kind of approach?
  6. This guy is so bored of football.
  7. If we lose against Soton, the players might as well retire. Get that 4th place, win the Cup and our season won't end up as a complete failure. Let's beat Spurs on the 1st of April and build some momentum.
  8. Leicester to sack yet another Chelsea manager?
  9. We played quite well, but that's what happens when you don't have enough quality and your so called "world class" talent doesn't bother to show up. Can't beat Barcelona at Nou Camp with a striker who can't strike, two full backs who can't cross nor dribble and a "creative" central midfielder who can't create. This team needs serious improvements. I wouldn't blame Conte at all at this point. he went in with the right tactics. We tried to score, we had the right approach and I don't think another manager could do much better with this squad against the best teams in Europe. We simply cannot compete against world class opposition unless we sign world class players.
  10. Time to say goodbye. Too slow, too many mistakes.
  11. Haha, do you listen to The Calcio Land podcast?
  12. This "I don't have the players to challenge for trophies" rethoric seems a little foolish to me. If you are a cook and you need to make a cake, but you do not really have ingredients of the best quality, you still need to try and make that cake. Because it's your duty. Plus, nobody asks Conte to challenge for trophies. We are desperately hoping for the team to challenge for points and for a top 4 finish. I understand that he is not happy about the way the board handled the previous two windows, but it is what it is. His duty is to give his best in order to get things going. Is he doing that? I am not sure, but it doesn't seem like it. I don't know what needs to happen. It would be sad to sack him, as he brought a lot of enthusiasm on the Bridge last season, but if he's not willing to make a change and to accept that he can't always get what he wants (specially with the Chelsea board behind), then it's probably better to let go.
  13. Can't we really do better than this? Feels like that Camp Nou game from 2012. And we had Bosingwa and Obi Mikel in the team back then.
  14. There comes a time when you need to try being a little objective about the situation. From my point of view, City are clearly the best team in Europe at this point. They have the quality, the confidence, the morale. Everything's going their way. So anything else than a loss would be a great result for us. I have no expectations from this game and I won't be mad if we lose it.
  15. Maybe we'll have a better go at them at the Nou Camp. This was our second best performace in the UCL this season. Combine this with a little of what we played against Atletico in the away leg and there is hope.
  16. Warrior. If only he could be consistent in the league too.
  17. The false number 9 tactic finally worked and yet people are complaining about not using a striker.
  18. Smh people are underestimating Chelsea's fantastic discipline so much. Barca are fantastic, but our players did great.
  19. Seems like mission impossible on Nou Camp, but I am telling you: if there is one club on this planet that can make it there after drawing 1-1 at home, then it's us.
