  1. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5_oUa1yCpgs&feature=related Love this comment : "There are many Cristianos but only one Ronaldo" :pwned:
  2. Mid table teams offer more than that. It's unrealistic.
  3. There's talk he may be coming back, he's had rehabilitation in the Middle East and apparently it's done him real good.
  4. Then how exactly is Lukaku a good signing?
  5. We want the great Lukaku don't you know. Hence we must sacrifice trivial positions like a right winger to win the bigger battle and have another Drogba on the bench.
  6. ^Isn't that a bit too long? Thought the last couplet in itself has potential to be a classic Bridge chant.
  7. Exactly. And such devious play is exactly why the player pays close attention to the manager! He wouldn't sign for a club if the manager is known to be manipulative.
  8. Ray Wilkins confirmed that those buys were wanted by Carlo and re Luiz and Torres, he wanted them in July itself. And we need to make a distinction between transfer bids and contract agreements. Sure transfer bids may be initiated by club representatives and player agents, but once a bid is accepted, it is within the player's power to sign a contract or otherwise. And he takes this decision based on factors, a major one of which is of course the manager at the club. The Pastore case is irrelevant because he is moving away. Why would he talk with the club president for this? It's obvious his agent is the go-to man in this regard. But when the time comes to choose a club, he'll be paying damned close attention to that club's managerial situation.
  9. Wenger and Mourinho are both great managers. Would everyone be as comfortable with both just because they're 'great'? It doesn't work that way. A player moving to a new country, a new league has tonnes of things on his mind, not all of them football-related. It's vital for him to be able to rely upon the knowledge that the guy he works with everyday is in agreement about his thinking and development. I'm sure guys who've played football themselves will tell you that the relationship with the manager is the most important, even more so than his teammates. For the player it's important to have a great working relationship with the manager, not the board. At Chelsea, the manager doesn't set the club's direction, the owner's advisers do.
  10. Has the move been confirmed though? If it has, you are correct. Though I really doubt this Malaga rumour. I know they have money and are one of the richest teams in La Liga but seriously ... Pastore? Don't see it.
  11. You are clearly wrong. We must spend 20 million on a Didier lookalike and shunt Studge out on the right wing.
  12. Neymar is clearly a bit of a deep sleeper. His dreams change very often.
  13. Why are people surprised players don't want to move here? If you were a player, would you move to a managerless club?
  14. lol I knew you or CJ Revo would be posting one of these soon enough Can we have one of Cech in that awesome white kit please?
  15. The day we start signing players for their shirt sales is the day we stop being a serious football club that wants to make history.
  16. I know it's irritating to look up the Sneijder thread and find a Mikel debate, but I simply had to post this in response to the frankly false claim that his ball retention is poor : And while we're at it, Lampard and Essien are miles worse at control and distribution, let alone retention. My last post re Mikel in this thread.
  17. Really? Malaga? He'd be nuts to move to a lower level while major clubs are chasing him.
