  1. Sturridge needs work on the final ball.
  2. And that, lads and lassies, is the 6000th league goal for Chelsea from Super Frankie Lampard!
  3. Song is the key man for them imo. I think you will see that Lampard will be asked to stick close to him and Ramires being given the extra responsibility to participate in attacks.
  4. Don't get me wrong - I like Mikel as a player, I just don't think he has a place in the team if we're playing Ramires as well. Meireles adds a little bit extra in terms of mobility, movement and quickness of passing. Why is everyone so impressed with Romeu? One big reason is that our passing from midfield is much quicker with him at the base and it improves our pace of play, something that is crucial if we're to get the best out of Torres. Meireles helps out in a similar way.
  5. Would have preferred Meireles over Mikel.
  6. If there's two clubs I absolutely hate losing to, it's l'Arse and scum. Think it'll be close, though being at home we should shade it by the odd goal in 3. Their pace vs our high line is a key subplot, I hope we handle that well. Keen to see how Terry performs, there's going to be a lot of eyes on him and he could just make a statement of intent today like he's done in the past.
  7. Good piece on our pressing game this season on zonalmarking : http://www.zonalmarking.net/2011/10/26/chelsea-villas-boas-pressing/
  8. ^damn ... is there any injury news? it's not a special feeling.
  9. Anyone else have the problem of the site being quite slow? At first I thought it was because of the sigs etc so I disabled them, but the problem persists. I'm using Chrome.
  10. Bullshit. It's just the hair. And the white wristband.
  11. @torres? Regardless of whether genuine or fake, you'd think they'd be able to cook up a more imaginative handle.
  12. lmao, Swoopz trying to come across as some sort of analytical genius after plagiarizing someone else's hard work. Wish I could delete the rep I gave him.
  13. I'd argue otherwise based on 'productivity'. Patch is more expansive and direct going forwards but in terms or productivity, Ryan trumps him because his quality crossing makes up for the fewer forward forays. Quality over quantity and all that. Yes Patch is more attractive to watch but his lax defending is equally worrisome. There's no doubt in my mind that Ryan is a better stand-in for Ash, but that's hardly surprising considering the age and experience advantage he enjoys over Patch.
  14. Luiz miscontrolled a ball on the edge of the box and it fell to Saha who was sticking close. Turnbull had to come for it and he took out Saha's leg with a late challenge, albeit Saha hadn't totally controlled the ball and Luiz was getting round to cover the empty goal.
