It's always been an area we've needed to improve on and are doing so. It takes time, but progress is being made -

You should never doubt the youth teams of clubs who play in lower divisions with their senior squads. It's often the "smaller" clubs who have the most successful academies. -
Daily Mail reports ManCity sign Gai Assulin

Yeah, but remember the 3-1 last season? We should not doubt Aston Villa away at all!! They are very strong at home and have plenty of quality in their squad.

I just wonder how red faced Pelé feels now. Serves him right for sticking his nose in our transfer activity.
-
Exactly! I'd much rather see the stadium expanded rather than us moving. But fair dos to Buck for saying we're not going anywhere

Manchester United report an £80million loss.

That, or, Santos need to grow some balls. They're the ones who are letting Neymar getting away with murder, how does firing the coach help anyone? It sends out the message to Neymar that he'll get his way because they're desperate to keep him. If they'd show some balls and send a message saying "you signed the contract, now live with it, or don't play, up to you."

Haha I think he would, we bought Quaresma off him not too long ago (okay bad example, he was a crap signing) but still. It's just how much he'll over-charge us for him

Even John Terry?

Chelsea chairman Bruce Buck says the club still have no plans to leave Stamford Bridge. The Blues are dominating English football on the field after winning both the Premier League and FA Cup trophies last season and Carlo Ancelotti's side are sitting pretty at top this term after seven games. But the West Londoners lie eighth in the table when it comes to attendance averages and a move away from the Bridge has long been mentioned to help them compete with the type of revenues Manchester United and Arsenal command from their gate receipts. And while Buck admits Chelsea will never rule out leaving their 105-year home, the Blues chairman insists the capital outfit are making up for a smaller capacity venue by focusing on revenue from commercial activity, sponsorship and new media. He told Sky Sports News."There is a lot of history and tradition here at Stamford Bridge. "The club has been here since 1905 and so it's very, very difficult for us to make the philosophical decision that we are going to move on. "Certainly we wouldn't leave West London or thereabouts and there are very few sites available. "We have to do things with our other commercial activities to make up the deficit that is created by the fact we don't have a 60,000 seat stadium. "I can't say that we will never move or have a new stadium but at the moment it's not at the front of our agenda. "What's at the front of our agenda is increasing our commercial activities, increasing how our sponsors and increasing how we use new media." || SkySports ||

Ah, that's true. But he's had a good career none the less.

I disagree, Ronaldinho's still got plenty of talent I don't think his hectic partying life has ruined that?

Santos have vehemently defended star striker Neymar over reports that he partied with prostitutes at the team's hotel, with club president Luis Alvaro Ribeiro claiming that there is a "conspiracy" afoot to force the teenager out of Brazilian football. Sports daily Lance claimed that security cameras at the team's hotel captured Neymar and some of his team-mates with prostitutes following Santos' 2-1 victory over Gremio on August 26. Ribeiro refused to confirm or deny that his players had invited a group of women to their rooms, but accused "some people" of trying to "demonise" precocious youngster Neymar in a bid to expedite a move to Europe. "They are trying to make Neymar look like a bad boy, something he isn't,'' Ribeiro said. "It seems there is a conspiracy to get him to leave Brazilian football.'' The scandal comes just two days after English newspaper The Sun reported that Neymar is still desperate to play for Chelsea, despite the fact he signed a new five-year deal with Santos in August. Ribeiro rebuffed the claims, suggesting the quotes attributed to Neymar were made before he signed his new contract, and also dismissed claims that he would punish his players for the hotel incident, insisting that, within reason, his players are free to do what they like after a match. || ESPN Soccernet ||

He's at Real Madrid, Real Madrid doesn't like us. Real Madrid will want near £30million for him, and he's not worth even £25.

Working class?

Haha everyone who reads this will think "was there any real competition for this?"
-
Take into account though, no-one honours contracts anymore
-
I hope so. Anyway, Kakuta's getting much more game time now, with Bena out long term we'll see him get more opportunities.
-
Really surprised by this, I thought he'd move after a while, not to Chelsea, but just a bigger team. But fair do's to him I suppose. /Thread.

Bayern keen to get Kakuta to sign a pre-contract

Don't get me wrong guys, I'm not worried right now (@zolayes). It's just, for argument sake, if Lampard were to pick up another knock and, touch wood, Essien were to be out, we'd only have Mikel, Ramires & McEachran(@ZanSnake). While this would be a midfield full of quality it would lack that experience that knows to keep the ball and slow down play in the last 10-20minutes, kind of like a Ballack or Scholes(@Blueboy.
