  1. I think they may be intimidated by the size of our squad though. Mikel, Essien, Drogba, Anelka, Terry, Ivanovic. Guys you don't want to mess with. Plus that dirty scum, Henry is suspended for 2 more games so we won't have his crap today.
  2. Line Up: Cech Bosingwa - Ivanovic - Terry© - Cole Mikel Essien - Zhirkov Anelka - Drogba - Malouda
  3. Would there be a minute silence at the Bridge today maybe?
  4. Couldn't agree more! Last Irish player we had was Duff (and what a player he was!). We all have big hopes for Connor here anyway, so hopefully he'll get his time just like Josh.
  5. I don't know why they'd want to advertise any other site, TalkChelsea is the best around!! Ignorance is bliss I suppose
  6. If Benayoun was fit, I would've said him you know. But only if we ever needed to give Anelka a rest. Benayoun proved at Liverpool he's capable of playing on the right wing, he's smart, pacy often and can find a great pass. His crossing and shooting isn't bad either, it's a shame won't see him till about February now. But like most here, I think Anelka & Kalou are fine playing there. I think sometimes Anelka needs to stop cutting the ball back because he has the pace and strength to go on but often doesn't. Although as a winger I think it's okay (the problem is when he's a pure striker). I think, one of the fundamental reasons for Malouda's great form now is because of Ashley Cole's game. To have the pace-filled full back making those strides behind you really gives you the motive/permission to keep pressing on at the defenders knowing you've got support right behind you. Now don't think I'm saying Ivanovic and Ferriera are awful at this because they've both proved they can make those bombing runs and crosses, however I think Bosingwa does it better than anyone there. I'd even go as far as to say, he's on the best in the premiership when he does it! (his very first touch last week was that brilliant cross, so he's still got it ) So I think with him starting and doing that today, Anelka will make many more strides into the box and down the wing. Although I hope he tracks back more Finally, let's not forget Sturridge. We all know he wants to play that pure striker role, but with pace like his the wings would be a great position. He's young so he has plenty of time to adapt so I really don't think we have a problem in this area. :cfc:
  7. Borini's contract is also expiring by the way..
  8. Ah fair enough, how old is he now anyway? I was watching the Youth Final again, what a performance from him and Josh!
  9. I've got to admit.. The third kit doesn't look that bad
  10. Don't you think we should focus on loaning out to Championship/Premiership teams Esk?
  11. I hope Mr Harding is resting in peace. The Matthew Harding Stand will forever remain an iconic one because of his name. His blood, sweat and tears were all for Chelsea Football Club. How can we ever forget how he put his own money into Chelsea FC, not as a business venture, but because he loved the club! Considering the Portsmouth affair now, we take it for granted that we had (and have) people who invest in the club because they believe!
  12. This is one of the darkest days in all of football. Portsmouth should be used as an example for all clubs for what really could go wrong, something has to give now!
  13. BAD NEWS. SkySports Another Joe Cole situation?
  14. Publicity stunt by Rooney/Agent? Maybe. All I know is, a 5-year contract deal means nothing. Cristiano signed a new deal a year before Real bought him, no-one honours these things. A nice dream while it lasted, normal service can resume (us staying at the top of the league.)
  15. That's bull. Our players should go on loan to teams at least in the Championship!!
  16. Hahaha exactly! I remember in 05 when Gerrard was about to sign for us, Liverpool fans were burning Gerrard shirts, then when he changed his mind they all accepted him with open arms.
  17. Yeah but the second side of that coin would be: It shows the heartbreak of how we came within an inch of lifting that trophy..
  18. I had a teacher going on a rant about the pension age and how the Torries/Dems are f*cking everything up. When I asked her who she voted she simply replied "I didn't", I don't think she should complain then.. That being said, how I wish people here would recreate the French strikes. Imagine stopping the fuel supply to Heathrow, Gatwick, Luton & Stansted = Chaos!
  19. Rooney. He's a much better footballer than Torres when on form and he's English . But agree with BlueLion there, doubt we'll grab either.
  20. Happy Birthday :tophat: :champions:
  21. Honestly though, there are some ridiculous degrees available for people. Just briefly going through UCAS now, courses available Wine studiesWomenswearYacht designect..
  22. Even to get him on loan in January would be awesome! Carlo should definitely use his old friendships to do so!
  23. Liberal Democrats are sell out. How dare they 'pledge' to cancel tuition fees, then agree to raise them
