That's a bit unfair! We support the club and so we support the players and managers OF the club. You're right players do come and go, and as fans we've seen a lot, too much, of that in my opinion. We finally have (or had) stability in this club. All until the departure of Ray Wilkins.

who are you and what've you done with Styles?! LOL But you're right Roman is doing the right things, though one can argue the Wilkins affair wasn't one of his best moved, but he has poured millions into the youth system. Perhaps Arnesen wasn't the man to organise the youth development properly. His resignation could be a blessing-in-disguise as we can find someone who really believes in bringing youth talent into the team, youth talent that will breakthrough and be a homegrown superstar..

You know what.. Not being on top might be a good thing in this situation. I mean it's not like we deserve to be there. But the players will now see this, it'll sink in harder than ever the fact Manchester United are 2pts clear at the top. The last few losses, well, the players knew whatever happened we'd be top of the player because we always had a points buffer, now that's gone the players have no choice but to reclaim the top.

I think this is one of the problems right now. The amount of times we were being exposed on a counter attack from NUFC was unbelievable. Though they didn't finish their chances they certainly could've had enough. I don't think, currently with our injury crisis, we should have both full back bombing forward because it's too much for Mikel to cover. There needs to be communication between Cole and Bosingwa to stop both of them going on, I think it needs to be one at a time. Under the current system, Anelka does not track back, making us very exposed on the right.

Until now, I've never agreed with this so much. Something's got to change for Everton and this must be it. Cech Bosingwa - Ivanovic - Alex - Cole Malouda - Essien - Mikel - Zhirkov Sturridge - Drogba Okay, so it's a long shot Sturridge would play over Anelka, because Carlo's not that risk taker we think of. But this shape, even with Anelka, is very strong! I don't think Alex should have surgery till Terry's confirmed back. The right side may be a problem with so many left sided players, but this can work. 4-3-3 is just not working now.

Remember, he's only being played because there's no alternative left. I definitely see him being dropped once Lampard is back.

Exactly. This is much more than that, I believe it's psychological. There's just no heart in this team. If the heart & soul is defined by Lampard & Essien only, then something is seriously wrong here. Drogba, Ash & Mikel are all losing their way now.
