For me, Puyol will be one of the most sportsman captains ever.. Things like this are great examples of why:
-
I'm still waiting for SkySports to issue Jamie Carragher with a translator.
-
Certainly! The interviewers are quite annoying, especially this first guy lmao.
-
Ferguson did an interview about a week or two ago and spoke of how well himself and Mourinho know each other. He spoke of his retirement and when making the choice of who to succeed him, he said Klopp had signed on with Dortmund and Mourinho was going to Chelsea. So let's bullshit this myth that United didn't want him from the off lmao. He also said, knowing Jose as well as he does, he'll find a way to fix this situation. Without a doubt. Now if one of the (if not the only) greatest managers of all time can come out and support Mourinho, well..
-
I bloody hope not - Mind you, heir to the throne
-
Hahaha hey it gives you a lot to talk about though! My upbringing is quite standard, Indian descent, mum and dad from Kenya and I'm born and raised in the UK
-
This the guy Liverpool wanted and fucked it up?
-
Okay and what's wrong with my argument? I'm saying that I believe those views are being blown out of proportion. They've all reflected that this is the wrong thing for Hazard and how Mourinho is out of line. What I'm saying is that the relationship between Mourinho and Hazard was so strong last year that I refuse to believe this isn't another calculated move by José. Mourinho obviously knows Hazard's our best attacking outlet, but I don't think there's anything wrong by dropping him and answering why. And this isn't even Mourinho fanboying. I'd support any manager who would do that in the situation we're in right now.
-
Wait, wait. Where are you actually from bro?
-
Oh I did, so you'll have to forgive me for still being baffled as to what you think I'm misunderstanding. But if you'd rather not explain, that's up to you :tophat:
-
Lmao do you remember when he sold Mata and people actually suggested Mourinho has a problem with Spaniards?
-
Then explain mate, I'm all ears.
-
Yeah I mean I still agree that Hazard is our biggest creative outlet, but Mourinho's demonstrating that resting on your laurels isn't the way to reach the heights of Messi and Ronaldo. As someone said, if Eden's attacking contributions were akin to last season then he wouldn't be called out on the defensive side. But we're at a critical time in the season where we are conceding soft goals and not creating enough on the other end. And Hazard doesn't? We can wrap the issue in cotton wool all we want, but no-one is pulling their weight in this team. Our only consistent performer is Azpilicueta which is why Mourinho won't drop him unless his hand is forced. He's shown Matic his wrath and the Serb then played a flawless game. Now he's shown Hazard his hand and hopefully the Belgian will respond positively. (Hopefully it's Fabregas' turn next!)
-
Costa's one of my favourite Chelsea players from this team along with Azpilicueta and Courtois. He's just got a winner's mentality. You guys might have forgotten the days of a lethargic Torres not even trying or a clueless Kalou who wasn't ever capable of leading our attack. Finally we've got a f*cking warrior, who's learning slowly but surely! I hope Costa's here for a long time because if his influence continues to grow, he can be similar to Rooney and the way he leads the team.
-
You're completely right. However, Wembley is about 15 minutes away from my house, so I'm sorted for 3-4 years
-
You'll have to forgive me, but what's so bad about those comments? For ages people have been saying Hazard, Matic, Fabregas and Costa need to be dropped or step up. Well hey, Costa scored yesterday and Matic came on in the second half to see out a clean sheet. Fabregas was pushed higher up the pitch and probably only because Oscar's inconsistency is more of an evil in Mou's eyes (granted, he's got that wrong). If he's giving tough love to Hazard, who's more than capable of taking it on the chin, what's wrong with that?
-
Hahaha let's not forget the prehistoric 'Legends' tag.. Or even further back, negative reps - Anarchy if all 3 elements were brought back. (Do it Rmpr )
-
I'd say take the post a whole as opposed to nit picking mate. The point is, there's so much being made about this when it's a non-issue to be honest. Hazard's not going anywhere, he's got good representation and he's got a good working relationship with Mourinho. If Mourinho dropped him on a tactical issue of conceding and we did keep a clean sheet and win without Hazard, it sends a message. Hazard can either work harder and get back into this team, to collect personal accolades, or he can watch others do it instead of him.
-
Even then, with Zouma on the right. Can the kid even cross?
-
Member of the month is back?

I think Solanke's too raw right now, kid is only 18. The last 18 year old that actually came through to a top club was Rooney, Solanke's isn't anywhere near that level yet. Bamford's had more of a push, he was Championship POTY last season and in a competitive league like that it's impressive to say the least. Fuck knows what that idiot Pardew is doing, but he really should be recalled and played/loaned elsewhere. But I'm a big fan of Bamford, he seems to have that striker's instinct. Very few shades of Shearer.
-
I genuinely think you guys are reading far more into this than you should be.. Hazard will return to the first XI in no time, Mourinho is sending a message and the kid can either step up or he doesn't. That's up to him. But I really don't think he's going to spend a lot of time on the bench & I really doubt he's going to have any problem with Mourinho.
-
No, no didn't you get the memo? The 'untouchables' must be dropped.............. Except the untouchables.
-
Who, in the blue hell, are you @BlueLion?
-
I hope we're done with these ridiculous experiments. We persist with useless strikers far too much!
