Come on Alex, I know you're not one for hyperbole here. We've seen, quite recently even, big teams have that season where they miss European football for a season and come straight back in. While people can point to Liverpool as one that didn't, they didn't have the financial backing we do. Roman's not going anywhere should we miss 4th (considering our consecutive run, I'm sure one season won't make his loyalty wane), he'll reinvest, change a few things at the club and hey-ho we're Champions again. Ole!

So I'm abroad right now.. I bet this place was entertaining post-Liverpool
-
Oh god, that's just what we need..
-
Squad depth I guess? Doesn't complain when on the bench.
-
We have failed this kid.
-
Fucking legend. Get him on loan and get the big man to knock a few of these Chelsea boys' heads together.
-
Agreed my friend. But that's also why I see this getting turned around, that old psychological phenomenon we under appreciate every day 'confidence'. Amazing what an average team can do when they have it (West Ham), incredibly vicious when a world class team don't have it. I know, I know. One way to improve confidence, sack the root of all this acting out and see if new-manager-syndrome will kick in. But that shred of belief I still have Jose can do this lingers, I really hope this doesn't get worse before it gets better though
-
I know, it's harder and harder to justify it. But I still think he's the best out there and we can turn this around.
-
Still don't think he should be sacked by the way, anyone else? Lol

This is heartbreaking to watch as a fan, it really is.

Sums up why England's youth players rarely live up to their billing too, jump at the money and the 'big club' stature and don't stay put for their own development. At the same time dude, you can blame their representation. Agents are one the biggest reasons these kids are jumping ship, after all it's in their interest more so than their clients to secure a big move. There are exceptions, and that's if your talent enables you to walk into these big teams and be a regular. Sterling is showing that, as was Shaw, Stones would have probably been a regular fixture in our squad. But yeah, Papy and Baba knew what they were coming into. The former was signed as a last minute deal to compensate for losing out on Stones and the latter was just brought in for additional cover.

When it rains it pours here. Come on guys, are we really going there again with De Bryune?! The circumstances of his departure are very well known, even to the common reply "he had 5 chances", but hindsight is a wonderful thing isn't it. Am I actually reading that Mourinho destroys the club every transfer window? 2014 we said, a lot of people said, that was our best transfer windows in such a long time. We all loved the astute signings of Matic, Costa, Fabregas, Zouma. We won the league, despite losing KdB and Mata! This team is capable of winning the league, we have the players. The board failed to acquire the targets, some unrealistic, like Pogba and didn't even bother thinking plan B because of their arrogance. I'm sure that we will go into the market aggressively, most likely, next summer.

Yeah, perhaps you're right about that to be honest. Problem is, there's a dying breed of n10s that are in the José mould and it's difficult to see how he plans to go forward if he is to let Oscar go at the end of the season. Hazard could be moved to there and we bring in a LW but then I think even Hazard would suffer with the needs of JM's tactics. I do agree what you said before though, that Mourinho won't regret selling KdB, he doesn't seem like the ideal n10 for Mou's systems. It would only work if he was out a bit wide in midfield but no primarily doing a winger's job.

Absolutely! The future England starts coming through, in particular the ones you've named, will be a great boost for the progress of the NT. The hope is, we'll have a competent manager and structure in place for these guys to thrive and bring some pride back to this nation's football. Completely agree about Smalling too! He's by far one of the most improved players of the last 18 months and he seems to be growing in maturity and ability. Van Gaal actually did him a lot of good by making him captain in the absence of Rooney not too long ago. If Jones can make the same revival then England's defence will be more than competent with guys like Clyne, Smalling, Jones, Stones, Shaw, Bertrand etc all bringing the best out of each other. Hopefully we see the same maturity in Smalling come to Barkley, Oxlade, Stones and Sturridge/Kane so these guys can start developing the next core.

Unbelievable.. 'fickle fans'. What a joke reply. Thankfully there are coaches out there who do believe in Sterling. He's one of the most expensive people for his age and he's unphased by it on the pitch. He's in an environment where the only attacking threat isn't him for once so he's afforded a bit of leeway.
-
Welcome back. This dick called Alex replaced you for a while, must've been a drunk idk..
-
How about NT wise? Is he one of those players that's somewhat leading the next generation of Dutch football or do you think his ceiling is lower than that?
-
One game? Lmao, have you honestly seen Sterling play all season? How about last season too? I assure you, this isn't a one-game-hype scenario. Whether we care to admit it or not, Sterling is one of the best players of his age in the world.
-
Yeah but all players say dumb shit like that when they go to a new club. Either say how that club is the best in the world or the league is the best in the world etc. If he ends up in the PL it'll be ridiculed for a while..... Until the next guy makes such a post
-
Hey since everyone's changing names all of a sudden, can I go by "LDN."?
-
Lol serious? I don't watch Serie A so I don't know haha, but there's surely a reason why City, Madrid, Barcelona and Chelsea are interested in him?
-
The Premier League themselves. They have their own body who does this. http://www.theguardian.com/football/2013/jun/15/fixtures-premier-league-football-league-compiled

Which is a bloody shame, because maybe they could help Premier League clubs in Europe!
