  1. Sigh it's a shame beating them would only hand Arsenal the title really.
  2. The team must be built around Torres for this to happen. Cech Ivanovic - Luiz - Terry - Cole Ramires - Lampard - Malouda Anelka - Zhirkov Torres The emphasis of Carlo's tactics must be, supply Torres with the ball, and support him if he lacks the chance to shoot. Carlo must fill Torres with the utmost confidence
  3. Yeah that was the one. If you sign someone who's played in the Europa League and you're in the Champions League then you can register 1. Luiz played for Benfica in the Champions League and Europa League, that's why we couldn't register him anyway.
  4. This sums up Coyle's influence. Burnley fan at that wrestlemania thing, years ago.
  5. Good to hear that from Carlo. Hope he's watching all our loanees though, including Mellis, Rajkovic ect
  6. And that Luiz fella! Looks like he's flopped as well, £75million down the drain!
  7. Ah that's a bit harsh, no? Maybe he honestly feels he can using his Milan Labs tricks with them as opposed to your theory?
  8. True but I think that's where we blame the players. Carlo came out and said sexy football had cost us (can't remember when). Every season the league gets harder and harder, our players have now failed to adapt, failed to improve and I blame them and Carlo at the same time. I'd understand if the board does sack him, I'm personally not calling for it though.
  9. Yeah I get that, but let's not forget, he's not stupid. Yes he's got major flaws, but a fundamental error in this season was having such a thin squad. Remember when we win under Carlo (90% of the time) we do it in style. With fluency and flare. So he does know what he's doing when his tactics are right. Maybe I'm still delusional, I don't know. But I want to give him 1 more season.
  10. Preciesly. That's what needs to happen now, Lampard is walking proof of this.
  11. Yes. My belief now is we let him honour his contract. He's signed for one more season, we should give him the resources to let him fix this next season.
  12. You win with that. The old-guard simply need to look at someone like Ryan Giggs. He's 37 and still, whenever he steps on to the pitch, his work rate is immense! Especially playing wide, that really shows his dedication for the cause.
  13. Definitely. I really can understand why Carlo made dodgy changes though, our bench is empty. 31 year old Anelka was just a substitute Carlo must've been cringing over, realising his mistake to send Sturridge out on loan. Even Lampard looked off pace today. Not sure anyone would've complained if we'd seen Josh come on for him *cue the 'he's too young' critics*
  14. Definitely. I'd love if he retired with Chelsea and then took up a coaching job with us, really epitomises "loyalty".
  15. That'd highlight the inconsistency even more though. 2007/08 - Mourinho > Grant 2008/09 - Scolari > Wilkins > Hiddink 2009/10 - Ancelotti 2010/11 - Ancelotii > ? I'm not sure if we should stick or ditch Carlo. The club made a good job signing him for 3-years instead of 5 (like Scolari). However, if there will be a new manager, he should be allowed to have a season like we're enduring now. Without trophies if there are signs of transition (which we haven't seen).
  16. Talk about inconsistent. 2007/08: No trophies, 2nd place, new manager. 2008/09: FA Cup, 3rd place, 2 new managers 2009/10: Premier League, FA Cup, new manager 2010/11: No trophies, 4th/5th place. Common trait? New manager. We must secure a long-term manager!!
  17. Waiting for a post like that, spot on Kez. We now know this season is a dead one. Worse than 2008/09 - officially. But now we must support the team to securing 4th position!
  18. Does it bode well for us that Cech saved his last penalty?
  19. Branislav Ivanovic. Chelsea's answer to Pique.
