  1. chelseayouth Chelsea Youth Jack Cork reveals that Chelsea have informed him he can leave the club. Hugely disappointing.
  2. Highlights http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PNzmOd992sc http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4T1CFj6775M
  3. Ah fair enough, I agree with that then.
  4. Apparently we'd tried for Tiote in January
  5. Kinda disagree with you there Drew. I'd agree if you meant stuff like affairs and personal relationships should not be made public by the media, because they're internal, personal issues which people should have a right to have privacy over. However a player, taking an air rifle to a football training ground, to then wave it around not knowing whether it's loaded or not, then proceed to shooting someone, is something that perhaps people should have the right to know about. Technically it's a crime. Chelsea said they're taking action, if it means Cole is suspended or his pay is docked for a while it's alright. People should still have a right to know about these things though, just so we can show people that footballers, who are seen as role models, are not perfect. They, like anyone else, are accountable for their mistakes. That's the message that should be sent out. Not protecting the image of these role models, but to show that they learn from their mistakes.
  6. ''I doubt very much that Didier Drogba wants to leave Chelsea; he is being rested rather than dropped at the moment,'' a source close to the club told ESPNsoccernet on Sunday. "Chelsea need Didier Drogba back to his best for their run in the Champions League, but he also needs careful handling. Clearly Chelsea need to finish in the top four of the Premier League, so they have to rotate their strikers to keep them fresh. "Drogba has had malaria, he has had a sore knee and a couple of weeks of rest, easing himself back, makes sense. However, it is true that he won't like being on the bench, even if it might be for his own good.'' Chelsea have three strikers competing to fit into coach Carlo Ancelotti's lineup, but the source added that of the three strikers - Torres, Drogba, and Nicolas Anelka - the player most likely to be sacrificed in the summer is Anelka. "Ask any Chelsea fan who is the best striker at the club and they will tell you Didier,'' he said. ''Anelka has talent to burn, but the worry is how often he is willing to burn it!" ESPN
  7. Ashley Cole better not get arrested. The last thing we need is a team full of criminals. Torres came here to get away from them lot!
  8. This is just another article to try and make everyone think we're trying to push Drogba out the door. For all we know he's happy to play for his place under the current squad, let's be honest, he's 32. It's not like there are a whole line of world-class clubs looking to sign him now.
  9. Di Natale hat-trick and Sanchez 4'fer. Dream land for Udinese
  10. Wow, Sanchez with a hat trick too!
  11. He could only get 47 in 56 if his team mates worked with him. Which requires him to pass the ball and give him team-mates a chance, our assessments would go hand-in-hand
  12. Are we really surprised he got a way with it? Same old United..
  13. I just don't understand this. What the hell was he doing with a rifle at Cobham?! :\
  14. Of course, that was my point though. While we rejoice that he is taking his chances, we must remember, he has quite a way to go still. Like you said, he's still got the mature and this spell at Bolton is giving him plenty of experience. So while he's not a finished package yet, we've still got a lot more to see from him.
  15. Yeah, this. Tommo, you're right in the sense he's a great striker of the ball. But when he knows there is a player, in a better position, more likely to score/assist him, he should look up and pass the ball. That's all. Otherwise he may not gel with his team mates. When they showed the match versus Everton a couple weeks back, Elmander was frustrated with him about the selfish play of Danny.
  16. We do not need Akinfeev so I'm more inclined to agree with milan.cech here
  17. No, because football isn't about individuals, it's about the team. If every time Sturridge gets the ball he shoots from wherever, then his team mates will get frustrated with him, then start not passing to him. Thus, disrupting the team harmony. Being a great footballer is about being able to play in a team, as well as shining as an individual.
  18. He still needs to work on his decision making. Apparently he's still quite selfish (can't blame him, for his lack of chances under Carlo), he needs stop shooting every time and look for passes to his team mates in better positions.
  19. Ah, touche. Even so, I'd think a new manager (should it happen) would rather keep Kalou than Drogba.
  20. I would agree, but we know how Carlo loves Kalou..
  21. The more Danny keeps scoring, the higher the chances increase of Drogba leaving. If Sturridge carries on his fine form for Bolton then Drogba leaving will not be so much of a burden on our attack, Sturridge and Torres link-up will be exciting to say the least!
  22. Johan Elmander found him with a pass from the right and the Newcastle defence stood off to give Sturridge a chance to drive home from the edge of the area.
