  1. Very true. But we need to see more progress though. Most definitely.
  2. Happy for him. He's worked hard for a permanent club. Arnesen's the only person who realises the potential of these players.
  3. Blatter escapes punishment, Bin Hammam withdraws. Normality carries on in the FIFA dictatorship
  4. Yeah yeah, I didn't phrase that first post well. I think dave30 is a bit misguided when he's said "African" era.
  5. What a strike!! We've scored some great goals today! Nevin scored the best, versus Fulham though
  6. I know, I know. But you know what I mean?
  7. I think it is you know! We've certainly been linked with different kinds of players than we'd usually buy. We've stopped going for power in favour of skill and pace. Like Torres, Neymar et al.
  8. I suppose, though would you pay £25million+ for Lukaku based on that?
  9. I disagree, that period he had more flashes of brilliance than not. But still I found him very inconsistent. Agree with the last part though.
  10. Zola & Jimmy linking up. Never thought I'd see it again. I really never though it. I really hope Zola comes back as a coach
  11. Exactly. That's the cold hearted truth of it. I do think Roman does want youth to come into the squad though, Arnesen often discussed his objectives with the media, that Abramovich had set. However I think he's conflicted with success and world class players. He's being ill-advised by our illustrious board though, that's for sure.
  12. Do you not think we could make him into one though? He's shown all the qualities of a winger, he's got pace, he can dribble with pace and cut inside. Not sure about his ability to cross, but 2/3 ain't bad. He's young and I think he'd be open to adapting his play if it guaranteed him first team action. As for him not being ready to start, he's certainly proved this season, he's more ready than Torres is
  13. Fair enough. I hope we do see him in the Premier League next season, I hope he proves you wrong too
  14. It depends what system we want to play now. Which depends on the manager (so we'd like to think). I think other members are right now. I believe the system of having the big, strong, target man is wrong. The long ball system, hoofing it from defence to the centre forward to use the wings and play side ways rather than forward is wrong. We should play by passing the ball. Pass from defence, to midfield, to attackers. Use skill, pace and trickery to score goals. Not, blast it forward and hope for the best. It's a policy that's been successful before because of Drogba. Lukaku is not Drogba. Drogba gave us more than strength. He created, defended and dropped deep when he had to. But now Drogba is coming to the end of his career. We should adopt a new system of passing our way in games. Play football how it's meant to be played.
  15. It's not just that bad moment I'm judging him. Ever since he came we slated him. Then we thought he stepped on that back of the 09-10 season. But it was only, actually, 3 or 4 months that he shone. Towards the end too. Then came this season, where he performed in the first 2 months, then disappeared, then came back for a while in Feb, then disappeared again. It's been the story of his entire Chelsea career. Inconsistency, shooting from range when he knows he can't & when there's better options ahead of him. He's selfish, his attitude is usually horrible. He doesn't work for the team either. His judgement is poor too. He has his pros. Definitely. He's a great winger when he dribbles at the opposition & can deliver a good ball too. When he comes to play I love him, unfortunately there's just way too many times where he's not with us, which is a real shame.
  16. Wouldn't have hurt to give any of them a legitimate chance in our squad though. We cry for a winger, how effective would Sinclair have been now. Look at his form this season for Swansea. Shows he's far from a finished product. Josh will be fine. Since the whole club's hopes are on him Sturridge is the worry though. With all our links to attackers like Neymar & Lukaku, I do worry.
  17. A front 3 of Neymar, Torres & Sturridge can work. That's why I only want Neymar as the only forward signing.
  18. Yep, I honestly don't know why the FA don't do that. But there's a big emphasis on the lower leagues in this country, and they'd all say it's unfair (even though B teams wouldn't be allowed Premier League promotion). The FA is so up its own arse, they've become inferior to other national footballing bodies.
  19. If it's true, good. As far as I'm concerned. Neymar should be our only forward signing. More focus should be on the midfield. You know. The guys who set up the attackers
  20. Exactly! Not stupid policies like Homegrown. Which is encouraging foreign poaching more than anything!
  21. We really should use the Josh McEachran model for all youth talent. Let them get some time as substitutes at least. Start with last 5 minutes, and gradually keep building. It gives them confidence and hope, while giving the management a chance to see what they're made of.
