Stats mean nothing in football. I'm sorry but I hate when people defend Kalou with stats. Looking at his game play generally, just take 1 look and you'll see he's simply not good enough to keep around. He should be sold now while he's still 25.. I'm sure there will be lower-table clubs who will look to buy him.

That's what I mean. We're clearly not in a position to buy, not with such a high release clause, that's the reality of spending £50million one 1 striker. Hence, patience for Kakuta's development maybe a more, worthwhile risk.

Despite we over-hyping Kakuta at times, you must admit the fact that we're being outpriced by Santos' demands for Neymar (£41million?). Therefore we're better off being patient with Kakuta to see what he can become after given proper time & training?

Esk's list makes me more convinced we'll see a few departures this season. The likes of Zhirkov, Ferreira, Kalou & Anelka maybe sold. Of course we could still proceed to sign more and just not register them (registration can be altered in the Jan transfer-window period by the way). The problem with leaving players unregistered is, we'll have to pay out the enormous wages (this club has the highest by the way) for them to do virtually nothing for 3-4months.
