You probably thought WTF, because the first game he played after United signed him, (for Fulham), he scored an own goal against us I think Wilshere will be given the eventual armband too, because he'd be the most senior youngster when the new crop come through. The future England does make me optimistic, but I don't know if they're strong enough to compete either.

But too have him as your coach where he is giving young, English players their chance, it's a great proposition for any English striker who feels they're being under-played.

I think this is blown out of proportion. Calling for him to be dropped is reasonable. I don't think anyone's disrespected him, they've just called it how it is. Yeah calling him "shit" might be over-the-top, however they only mean that's he's declining now.

One good thing about Meireles is he is an avid follower of the "pass-and-go" movement. Something we really lack..
