With Rooney playing that fake number 9 role, constantly, Robin does seem the type of forward United need. Welbeck & Rooney work so well as a pair because Welbeck isn't that main CF, his movement & pace allow him to link up with Rooney a lot better than Berbatov. It's why Hernandez plays well with him too (except the latter can't score outside the box )

We can say Azpi doesn't have a right to walk into the first team & that's true to an extent. However, how can we truly know how good he is if we don't try him in the first team? The reason Bosingwa was chosen over Ivanovic was because of his attacking threat, made life a night mare for the CB's & even Mikel. But modern football requires the emphasis of attacking full-backs to provide natural width.. Something Azpi will do. Granted we don't know much about him, so we shouldn't act as if he's the solution to that problem, but he is worth the gamble at 22.

Ideally I'd want us to take the title race a little further than we did. However, with City & United still a threat I think we'll need work to do.
