  1. This just tells everything about the total mess we are in In 2023 Felix was lightweight and couldn’t cut it. We dump him after 6 months, but then somebody decides to spend £40 million to bring him back !!! It’s all just a shambles and we look a joke to the rest of the world of football !!
  2. And this is so true as well Come back Rudi ,we need you !!!
  3. hate to say it but contrast that to Man City — well run, well coached, buy well in the marketetc etc.We are a million, zillion miles behind and it will take years , if ever, for us to get close I re-state my case as above !! Another game where we have over 60% possession and one goal — because we haven’t bought a Top Goalkeeper,Top Striker and an experienced Top Centre Half ( in the mould of Thiago) to help out Wes and Levi ( who in a couple of years may develop to be really good). Its just a mess !!
  4. A few people on “Chelsea Transfer Thread” were saying we have had a good Transfer Window !!! We have learnt nothing from last season. The “ project” is back to square one or beyond. We have sold Mason and Conor to buy in the main “bang average” replacements . We got rid of Poch , which was a disgrace !! Not blaming Moresca at this stage but the so called “Sporting Directors “ seem totally incompetent and either don’t know what they are doing or are being told what to do by The Board. I hate to say it but contrast that to Man City — well run, well coached, buy well in the market etc etc.We are a million, zillion miles behind and it will take years , if ever, for us to get close It’s all a very sad mess
  5. it’s making me very sad watching Man City again today — how many players have they signed/resigned in this window —3 or 4 ? And they are a million miles in front of us !!!
  6. Agreed re most of the players you have named. The deadwood was aimed at the likes of Kepa,Lukaku and the ones we still have like Badiashille,Disasi,Mudryk who all cost big bucks and so far have given us nothing
  7. I am not including Gallagher in the “ deadwood” as he shouldn’t have been sacrificed in the first place , to pay for some of the other bad signings we have made
  8. Not surprising. We had more deadwood to get rid of than any other Premier League team and we’ve still got at least another half dozen who should have been shipped out but weren’t !!
  9. I think I’m losing the plot , but I think it’s been a total shambles. Many deals left until the last minute — which means we don’t get the best price for selling as clubs see us as desperate to offload. As I said previously we never seem to get our preferred target and we make our interest so well known that the selling club takes us for top dollar. Yes we have ended up shipping out some failures, but we still have a lot left I.e Badiashille,Disasi, Mudryk etc. To win the Premiership you need a strong spine - Goalkeeper, Centre Half and Centre Forward,we have none of those components
  10. The club and in particular our “ Sporting Directors” have just become a sad joke. Every year we announce our main target for the window — but we never get them ( last year Kounde, this year Osimhen) !! Man City keep quiet and just do their business early. Every pundit, supporter knows the one thing we lack is a Centre Forward to lead the line - so what’s the one position we don’t fill, no surprise it’s a Centre Forward !!!!!! I truly hope Felix has improved, because last time he was here he was lightweight and bang average. The only signing that gets me even slightly excited is Neto — but then anything would be a step up from Mudryk and Sterling. Maduake scored a great hat-trick last week — but if the Sporting Directors/Owners had their way, he would have been sold before the Wolves game. We are just a complete mess with no joined-up plan. Very, very sad
  11. He was an improvement on Lampard but a downgrade on Potter. Are you serious ???? Not one player improved under Potter. A number of players improved under Poch and I think he would have got us Top 4 next season
  12. I for one have written to the club ( which I have never done before ) expressing my feelings re letting Poch walk away + the waste of money spent on players who were injury prone before we signed them or were just bad signings. I don’t expect a reply ( and haven’t got one !!) and I don’t expect it to make any future difference. I just think the club should know how many supporters feel right now.
  13. I love our club but for the first time , I really don’t care who the next manager is. We sack a manager who was making real progress and keep on Sporting Directors who signed Fofana,Lavia , Mudryk, Stirling ,Badiashille and Sanchez and I could go on, at inflated prices and long contracts. We can want who we like but nobody with any experience will come to a club where they get no say and 12 months to win the Premiership - and if they don’t it’s the boot !! I think it’s all just very sad
  14. Poch for McKenna ???? That seems such a backwards step that I can’t even find words to describe it. It’s just a very, very sad joke
  15. We might want , but there is no way in Gods earth that either Arteta or Alonso would come to us !! No manager of that standing is going to even consider a club not in the main European competition and run by a bunch of amateurs !!
  16. We can talk about who we want as manager until the cows come home. The reality is more like “ who can we think of that might just take the job “ !!. Would you want to come and work for this bunch of amateurs ? I definitely sure I wouldn’t. With Poch we had a chance of Top4 next season — we can now wave that goodbye. Listen to the players who are gutted and so am I !!!
  17. No top coach is going to accept zero say in transfers Another player,Jackson, has come out and said how disappointed the players are that Poch has gone. God knows who will take this poisoned challis 🙈🙈😭😭
  18. I know that nothing we as supporters do will change their so called “ plan” but for the first time ever I think some sort of PROTEST should be made to the owners , to show how many supporters are very worried about a) the way the club is being run b) the lack of communication to the fans c) the continual change of manager d) the recruitment policy leaving us with little experience and requiring us to sell the likes of Mason and now Conor/Trevor to try and balance the books. E) the fact that their actions are making the club look like a bad joke to the general footballing public
  19. A young team , in their first major final and we didn’t play well. Not sure that one game makes it a poor season. We also had even more injuries in the squad than Liverpool did. Be interesting to see who is queuing up to work under the clowns we have leading the club !!
  20. As I said in an earlier post — even more important than what we think is what the squad think. And those that have come out with an opinion are all sorry to see Poch go !!! I feel even worse about it this morning than I did last night. I may be wrong but I’m sure this wasn’t mutual and if all the Board had come out publicly backing Poch I’m sure he would still be here. 6th place, one cup final, one semi and European football next season. How can that be classed as failure in your first season ? Plus many players have shown big improvement during the season - Cole,Conor,Jackson,Madueke,Chalobah and some of that must be a reflection on the coach and his team. Plus he wasn’t responsible for signing the under-achievers in the squad — the Board and Sporting Directors did We have made some crazy decisions in the last few years but this is definitely the craziest A very sad day in the proud history of Chelsea FC
  21. I hate to say it but but the whole thing is a sad joke Just when we need stability to sort out negotiating FFP issues, who goes/who stays etc -by the end of June .And then decide who we need to bring in to improve the team — we once again get rid of the coach. It’s INSANE. The only people laughing must be City,Arsenal and Liverpool. No chance of catching them up next season now.
  22. Well I guess many people on here will be pleased. I previously said “ Be careful what you wish for” and now it looks like it has happened. I am totally gutted and far more importantly I think the majority of the team will be gutted. We just cannot go on sacking coaches if they don’t gain immediate success. Sixth and European football was a massive step forward in one year at the helm. Many players had improved individually and the team as a whole improved It was always on the cards that with constant pressure from the media, lack of support from the owners and with a section of supporters not fully behind him, that Poch would walk and it now looks like he has. I for one think it’s a sad day and a very poor reflection on the club. I dread to think where we go from here .
  23. As stated previously I just cannot understand the supporters on here clambering for Poch to go !! Havent we learnt anything over the last couple of years, after ditching a world class manager in Tuchel ??? What better coaches do we think are lining up to a non Champions League Chelsea ??? Poch is under contract for another year and we need to let that run at-least, before we review where we are. Many of the squad have improved under the guidance of him and his team — Cole,Jackson etc. We should be showing him he is wanted, before he decides that he doesn’t want us !!
  24. I think he is saying quite rightly that it is a two way process —and if he doesn’t feel wanted he may well choose to go, rather than stay where he is not appreciated. I think that would be our loss.
  25. To all those of us pushing for Poch to go, I would just say “Be careful what you wish for !!”. He wasn’t responsible for 90% of the bang average players we signed and unlike the Potter reign, many ( not all) have grown under his coaching - Madueke ,Conor,Cole,Jackson to name but 4. The constant change of coach will continue to get us nowhere. Poch should be told now publicly that his job is safe, before he tells us where to stick it !!
