Same old,same old !!! Plenty of possession,we look pretty at times but virtually NIL end product We’ve spent a fortune but are relying on Ruben Loftus Cheek and Ziyech. I am just not sure that Potter is capable of getting us anywhere near where we need to be.At the moment we are just plain ordinary

A lot of things have worked against Potter,massive injury list etc . He is probably a very decent guy and may even be a decent coach ( jury still out ) but sometimes you can just be the wrong man at the wrong time. I just don’t see how he can stay

Really don’t see the current position as hilarious !! We are poor in so many areas ,I just find it sad that the club I love has become a total shambles

No spine to the team — Kepa,Chalobah,Koulibally,Hall and I could go on ,just not up to the job. And I am afraid that goes for the Head Coach as well. It’s all just very sad

I know we had no choice in letting Rudi go — but when he went we lost our “leader” and the heart of the team.There is a lot else wrong, but to me losing him was a real big hit.Thiago is a leader but not in the same way

I honestly do not feel that sacking a manager is always the right thing to do. BUT these players have shown again today they are not playing for Potter No movement,no chasing and no PASSION or PRIDE. What has he changed since his appointment? We’ve just got worse and his time should be up

True,we don’t have a single player who can regularly score goals. BUT until we sort the midfield out it wouldn’t matter who we had playing up front - we take so long to get the ball forward even Haarland would struggle if playing for us

I just hope the recent additions to the back room staff are better at spotting players than we have been in the past. Cucu,Auba,Koulibali all way short of the standard required. Thank god for Thiago !! Zakaria good tonight and Aspi still gives 100% ( he’s just passed his best) and the youngsters who came on gave 100%. As for the rest ???

Unfortunately not sure it would work every week BUT what a difference since the youngsters have come on . We have run,chased and gone forward since Conor and Lewis arrived. We might still loose but at least we are now giving it a go !

Cucu playing well ? Sorry I just don’t see it. He gives the ball away far too often for a player costing £60 mill. Still we’ve made half-time without conceding which is better than I expected !!

I would dearly love to be wrong, but I just can’t see any way our current squad and lack of any sort of offensive tactics will be enough to beat Manchester City. Too many players go “ missing in action” when the going gets tough, too many players take the easy sideways of backwards pass and not enough players take responsibility for taking a shot !! I am sorry to say it but so far I struggle to see any improvement that Graham Potter has made to the way we play. Yes he’s had injuries to contend with BUT he either has no ideas or if he has ,he has failed to get the players to believe in them. A part of me is pleased to have a team at-all, but the team we do have is driving me to distraction !!! Brentford for instance we amazing last night — half the squad we have — but they FOUGHT for every ball and went FORWARD at every opportunity — neither of which we do !!!!

We became boring under Jose ,we were still boring under Frank, we were still boring under Thomas ( but we did win some things !!) and now we have become even more boring under Potter !! I see no evidence of any “Potter way of playing “, what influence has he had on the way we play — zero influence other than we go backwards and sideways even more than ever !! I know we have had injuries,but so have many other squads. I don’t m look forward to going to games at the moment and watching on tv is even worse. The wife thinks I am going to have a coronary by keep shouting “Shoot” , “ Get it forward”, “ Don’t go backwards “ !! When we get pressed Sterling,Havertz,Puli etc all disappear. It’s all very sad

Lots of reasons why we are where we are. One man doesn’t usually make a team but in our case I think losing “ Rudi” has been the biggest single factor.He was not just the player but he was the heartbeat of the team — the leader.Who is the leader now ?

Are you kidding me ? Once again we insist on playing the ball out from the back and continually put ourselves under pressure .Once again Hall has been our only bright spark. It’s just garbage

Agree they have made blunders ,but still think we win the title for biggest spend for least result

No other top club has wasted the money we have on 2nd rate players — Lukaku, Cucurella ( to me the biggest blunder), KK, Sterling ( why didn’t we get Jesus instead), Fofana ( serious injury before he signed) Ziyech etc etc.Rather than tactics I think Potters biggest job is sorting out recruitment!!

The sad thing is I don’t expect many of us who post on here are surprised

Lewis Hall went passed more people in 45 minutes than RLC has done in 2 months. Pity he missed the chance,but at least he was in the right place. At least he gave me something to get excited about and I’ve not said that recently

As has been said, yes we have a long injury list which doesn’t help us .Yes City have a strong squad, Yes I think we will get beat tonight . A win would be amazing but if we are gonna get beat,let’s go down all guns blazing ,with a bit of flair from somebody, some heart,some attempt to go forward and hopefully that leads to some shots on goal !! Not that dross we produced on Sunday -please !!!

I am afraid to say whether or not we knock these guys out depends on them more than it does us. If they put a strong team out I fear for our chances !! The gap in class between a fullish strength City and us is massive. I just hope City aren’t too worried about the game and we actually turn up and play with some guts — and actually play off the front foot
