  1. Every buy by this board has been overpaying, and most are downright donkeys. We overpaid for Mudryk by at least 30-40m and the same for CUCUshit. I would even go as far to say we overpaid for Enzo by about same. Some absolutely nonsensical buys like DDF, KK and Madueke. I don't think these guys ever become first team material. Even Badman only plays well with Silva next to him. Felix isn't worth what he's quoted for so we'll probably be buying him too.
  2. I think Mourjnho would whip this bunch into shape and turn them into league winners. He is doing an amazing job, top 4 and europa league finals with roma barebones squad. Imagine what he could do with this squad
  3. The problem is there are no world class managers availible atm. If carlo Ancelotti was free tomorrow I would be ecstatic but it's a shame that the most appealing option is Mou 3.0. I don't want Poch or Enrique anywhere near this club. They are specialists in failure and would've done something at Spurs/PSG and Barca/Spain if they were any good. I don't want negative football like Conte and Mourinho. I'm seriously afraid our best option is sticking with Potter at least till summer.
  4. We will not win anything with Pinky and the Brain (or tweedle dee and tweedle dum, take your pick) at the helm of the hardest job which is to reinvigorate CFC after a slump with signings. Mou always failed in his 3rd year, Conte in his 2nd and Sarri immediately. The difference is Sarri was content just bringing Jorginho in to implement his style.
  5. He looks like an impact sub in Eredivisie quality. A baby can control his dribble better than Noni.... such a donkey buy.
  6. Europa and conference league are a good way to bleed in youngsters, especially in those early rounds against Bodo Glimt. Nketiah was fit and ready to replace Jesus because he was playing Europa since Sept. It is the difference between your B team playing every week or waiting for the cup match every month. I don't buy that we need a 'clean' season. That's like saying we should get relegated so we can have a 'clean' promotion. We should always achieve the best we can that's why end of your comment makes perfect sense.
  7. My take on the January buys: Enzo - Good player but we overpaid for him. I would've been chuffed had we got him for 60m as I think it's what he's worth) Mudryk - may be fast but we come up against a lot of low block teams, so what can he do with that pace. Not much it seems but time will tell. Felix - Our best player is someone on loan from Atletico. I don't know what to say about buying him because I don't know if he or Nkunku is better. Badiashile - Has potential to lead the back line in the future. Its a toss up between him and Colwill but both will be UCL level. Madueke - Bit of a donkey. Has very good physical attributes which I'm sure served him well in Eredivisie. Unfortunately does not have the tekkers that Gakpo has. DDF - A massive Donkey. I don't know what this guy offers to the team. I think he plays on the shoulder and Potter is using him to link up play. He also relies on pace in a league where he won't get space against low block teams. Gusto - Damn shame he got injured. Hope he's good as new by next season. This is the danger of loaning back and giving out long term contracts. Santos - I'm wary of a player who has only proven himself on the south American stage. But a loan to Portugal next year would be good, after that we can assess.
  8. There is FFP in the PL monitored by the FA, professor. Everyone else is playing chess, we are playing Ludo.
  9. We are effed. Unless a world class manager becomes availible by this summer. Having to stick with potter for another season would be so detrimental to the squad and would get us in trouble with FFP (like we already aren't, 90% of our signings are pure shit and half of those are on long term contracts). It may take a long time to recover from this. We are missing out on UCL revenue next season and if the board persist with Potter it may well be for the season after that as well. Noone is going to want to touch our club until we can prove we can develop them.
  10. We could lose this 1-0 or draw 1-1. Anything less than a resounding victory is not acceptable. I don't want anymore 'the team looked better' or 'the refs effed us'. We have enough quality to put this game away. If we don't then there is a serious problem with the level of coaching going on...
  11. Newsflash: Mourinho didn't think United were a big club anymore.
  12. James, Silva, Ziyech and Cucu all out of the squad. I think that means this is a rehabilitation/rest game (surely chilwell doesnt play after he took a knock). I think we lose with this Lineup. Kepa Azpi KK/Fofana Badman Hall Kova/Zakaria Enzo Madueke Felix Mudryk Havertz
  13. Wish we sent him on loan to Portugal in Jan. It would've made his transition easier...
  14. You're very quick to point out accusations but have yet to back up your point with ONE piece of evidence. Just one stat or source that says Potter is the manager for us. All you do is respond with sarcasm and plain rudeness but there is no substance to your argument so unfortunately you are the one with no credibility.
  15. 113m transfer fee (over five years becomes 22.6m) + 12m yearly = 34.6m in amortisation yearly. If we sell this summer, his transfer fee crashes in for another 90.4m. I think he goes on another loan with an option to loan with option to buy. These figures are from Google and in Euros. We don't sell this fat bear until at least the 4th or fifth year of his contract. Even Inter don't need him anymore as they replaced him with Dzeko. Giroud is doing well with AC and Vlahovic the same with Juve. Osimhen is targeting his first title so Serie A is really popping with strikers atm and he is doing nothing.
  16. I dare not say it, but even Mou 3.0 is better than Potter. He is getting results out of a barebones Roma squad that plays twice a week. Potter can't even win a game with £600m.
  17. You really have the worst takes. Face it, even Brighton are better off without Potter and Cucushit (estupinan is better imo). He may have built the foundation but it was taken to the next level by another manager. Klopp did it all himself. Achieving something like that at a smaller club is special, and replicating it at a bigger club even more so. Even Ten Hag achieved exciting results at Ajax and is now replicating that at United. Mourinho WON the UCL with Porto and the rest is history. Yes you can let any manager build the foundations for the next 10 years but the results won't be the same. Mourinho set us up for 10 years, albeit with some shit football. Potter, I'm afraid, will set us back 10 years. By Christmas, when we are languishing in 15th all of us will be calling for a change in manager.
  18. I for one am happy we have Western owners, its getting a bit washed out with Emiratis at City, Saudis at Newcastle and probably Qataris at United. Its like they're playing monopoly in the PL.
  19. The comparison to Low is exactly what I meant. Its even more stupid because he is going out asking for it, rather than unfortunately being candidly caught. I absolutely think a manager can change a game, not just by being animated, but by having good tactical knowledge. I've seen Mourinho sub a mid for a def to win the game. Conte famously switched to 343 3-0 down at arsenal. In the same way all of the managers mentioned (klopp, pep arteta etc) did this to some degree.
  20. Exactly. The same problem. Noone wants to pay 60 70m for our dregs. Which scares me about the new signings as they are all on long ass contracts.
  21. I don't mean to dump on homeless people or seem distasteful. My issue is people associating a trampy manager like him with us. While Guardiola sits on the sidelines in his designer outfits. What do you think?
  22. These figures are from a Google search and in euros. 113m transfer fee (over five years becomes 22.6m) + 12m yearly = 34.6m in amortisation yearly. If we sell this summer, his transfer fee crashes in for another 90.4m. I think he goes on another loan with an option to loan with option to buy.
