  1. Lool just because of his headband. Gangster means someone who makes a living illegally as part of a gang, aka by selling drugs, killing people etc. Not saying Madueke is, I'm just saying he looks like someone who wants to be. Quincy Promes 100% thinks he's a gangster.
  2. I meant Tom glick. https://www.standard.co.uk/sport/football/Chelsea-fc-chief-executive-tom-glick-chris-jurasek-b1083356.html
  3. Eredivisie is more competitive than Ligue 1. It has always been Ajax and PSV but AZ and Feyenoord are in the mix now in recent years. PSG rule the French league with oil money.
  4. I really don't like this board anymore. People just defending the stupidity of the leadership. Am I not allowed to criticise boehly without people comparing how much better he is than the old leadership?
  5. I meant vivell. Sorry I don't know the name of the director who joined for a few months and then left. I guess the true fans who are clued in are the ones who will defend stupidity no matter what. Kind of like arsenal fans for 20 years...
  6. But for every donkey there were 3 good buys like Hazard, Willian Costa Pedro etc. There was no obvious choice for a midfielder except rice who has been overpriced for 5 years. Government effed up the Rudiger and Christensen extensions with their sanction because it was obvious Roman was funneling drugs and weapons through the toilets in Cobham. In football not one team has not had a bad transfer window, even Real Madrid (2019 for example). The idea is to not make a loss doing it so you aren't hamstrung the next year to replace those shit buys, like we are now. I'll be honest I don't know much about Stewart and Winstanely. Poch however failed to win a one team league with Messi, neymar and Mbappe as his front three. That is unacceptable in any case. He has never won anything and I don't expect him to anytime soon. It should precipitate the situation when you saw the 3rd fella (Freund or whatever, German guy from red bull) came and left after less than a year. These guys are going to be the leaders of a midtable team.
  7. To explain how garbage our buys have been I must elucidate this point by rating our transfers of last year. Enzo- potentially world class but was bought at a peak after World Cup and may never live up to his price unless he brings us a couple of CLs and PL domination. Fofana- perpetually injured and will never be worth his price. Would be a steal for 30-40m if we waited till Leicester got relegated. Mudryk- a PR fantasy. To overpay for a winger that arsenal weren't willing to match, from a war torn country to come and wave his flag the first day he arrives. Worth the 70m for sure...? Cucu- I really liked him at Brighton and he looked electric when he came on for the first time. It all went downhill from there. I don't get why we would spend 65m on LB backup when we desperately needed to strengthen other areas. Sterling- Once a 🐍 always a 🐍. Time and time again he's proven he just wants a pay packet and we will probably be his last before he moves to midtable team or retires. Badman- looks good when Silva is holding his hand but ALWAYS looks shaky when he has the ball in front of his area. I have anxiety that this guy is going to cause a goal. Koulibaly- We got soooo effing lucky the Saudis bailed us with this one. All of Italy is probably laughing at us after Lukaku and this guy over consecutive seasons. Madueke- looks like he wants to be a gangster but can't even take on a man (AS A WINGER). This guy just runs into people, he ran the ball out of play the other day for England U21. DDF- says it all when lampard didn't even give him a chance and played Auba for the last few games. This guy will never be PL standard. Auba- I shit my pants when we bought him. Nobody saw this and thought 'yes, exactly what we were looking for'. Still we had to bankroll Barcas attempt to undermine every single one of our main targets somehow.
  8. My transfer strategy: Hogtie Donkeyaku and Ziyeshit and drop them from a helicopter into Riyadh. Sell the fuckers who have no future ( Sarr, CHO, Ampadu etc) and the overpriced backups (CU fucking CU) Make way for the players who have a future. Maatsen isn't going to stay if he is behind Chilly, CUCU and Hall even though he has potential to be our best left back since Ashley. We should've treated last year as a throwaway like when lampard came in the first time to a transfer ban. Blood in the youth and don't make stupid buys. Boehly, however, somehow managed to pull off a masterclass of spending 500m with only one POTENTIALLY WC player in Enzo. All the rest are garbage.
  9. Here is my two cents. Boehly has effed this club beyond repair. In one year he undid 20 years of Romans hard work. We are being sold a dream of being CL winners in 5 years when all our 18yr olds become 23, but the fact of the matter is that our team has no experience and will not get far enough into cups to gain that experience. Our model before was fine, we bought kante for 30m and could've sold him for 100m after the CL win if the leadership weren't so sentimental. Tbf we didn't have that much experience in the team at that time and keeping him as an example of what you can achieve here wasn't the worst idea. But even Costa was sold for a good price after his tantrum, morata was somehow sold for profit, Courtois pure profit. Even De bruyne and Salah made a profit. We always made more through sales that we ever bought since FFP came into play. Now we are hemorrhaging money and don't even have a loan army to sell to make up for it. Even if we did, all but 10-20 clubs in the world are cash strapped atm and aren't willing to finance our stupid transfer maneuvers. I predict all of the old guard, especially Mount and Havertz, are going to excel in teams with competent leadership, or at least just a good manager in Utds case. Even koulibaly is going to be world class in a weaker league just to drive home the point of how bad our buys have been. Boehly basically did the same thing that Elon Musk did with Twitter. Came in. Acted like the shit. Fucked it beyond repair.
  10. This is what I have been saying since rhe summer. He has singlehandedly destroyed everything Roman did in 20 years in one season. I can see us becoming similar to United under the Glazers. Boehly bought a shit tonne of dregs and is now going to sell our CL winning players to settle the accounts (like Kova, Mount, Havertz etc). We will be wallowing in mediocrity for the next 10 years.
  11. That was Boehly under the advice of Tuchel. Tuchel probably picked the targets with a team and Boehly negotiated the contracts over wonderful food. So they are both to blame but Clearlake is here for more than 9 more years.
  12. I think the team is going to improve for 3 reasons. 1. Lampard is a club legend and regardless of his managerial career, the players will respect him. 2. He brought through a lot of academy during his first stint, like James, Mount, Tomori, Abraham. I think he could do wonders in a few months with the young talent we have in the squad now. 3. Lamps is fine as a temporary solution. It is nice to see the club is learning from their mistakes and not hiring the first Fancy Joe that is performing well. Waiting until summer is a smart tactic. Plus always remember, lampard set tuchel up with a really good drilled squad for him to win the UCL.
  13. This situation was so predictable from the moment that fat fucker sacked Tuchel. His signings weren't immaculate but we didn't have a good recruitment set up so it wasn't all down to him. It was Boehly himself who went out and spent 600m, over wonderful food, on a bunch of dregs and not one of them can score a goal ffs. There is not a manager who can save us. Not while the clown show at the top is going on.
  14. Juve would've been on 47 with Inter so I see your point. Roma's squad is barebones compared to the Top 4 in Italy so the fact he's gotten them competing for top 4 is a big achievement. He would've still been above AC Milan in 4th if not for the points deduction.
  15. Dude, we were better than Fulham, West Ham and Southampton. Arguably Liverpool as well given their Midfield problems and out of form defenders. Quality doesn't mean anything if you don't have a good manager to take advantage of it.
  16. The Porter still has more awards than Potter. https://www.fullers.co.uk/blog/beer-articles/award-winning-porter
  17. So mainly Tottenham then ;). My point in my original comment was Roma is currently a middling club and Mourinho is doing a better job than Potter at a big club.
  18. You fool. Conte started the 3 atb trend in PL. We haven't been able to switch back since.
  19. In his coaching career, Tuchel NEVER showed the form that Potter has shown these past few months. People blame him for shit buys but holy shit that was before I saw the donkeys that were signed in January. Sterling and Fofana are going to be important to us because we don't have a better RW (even though nick hate sterling runs like a duck) and Silva can't play every game so fofana is our 3rd best CB if Badman keeps 2nd. Cucu, KK and Auba were all shit buys. Not needed, too expensive and didn't work out. Cucu is the only one who can redeem himself but I don't see how he does that as a backup. KK is a good backup but they shouldn't be on 300k pw, at least he isnt for 8 years. Auba looks set to move on in summer. My initial thought on the January buys are a lot worse. Enzo is 80m max in his prime (unless football prices inflate even more and we sell him to Madrid for 200m). Felix - a shame that our most in form player is one on loan. I don't think we buy him, nkunku takes his place next year. Expensive loan as well but we needed him. Mudryk has nothing going for him apart from his pace and those little tricks he does, both of which lead to nothing. Massively overpaid for him. Badman was a steal, I really hope he keeps it up and doesn't regress, especially when Silva isn't there to keep him in line. So the main problem is overpaying for Enzo, Mudryk, Felix (Cucu, KK, Fofana and Auba) but now we get onto the real donkeys DDF and Madueke are not PL level footballers. Maybe they will go on loan and change all of that and prove us wrong like Salah and KDB. I doubt it though and feel they fail the eye test. So we are stuck with another 2 donkeyokos on perpetual loan for 8 years.
  20. We can't buy a Russian player with what is going on(and probably will never under Boehly, mudryk was a statement buy to wash any doubt about where he stands). We would have to sell our arse's to Brighton for MacAllister only for him to become mediocre once he arrives, like Potty and Cucushit. Edit: Mediocre is a complement to Potter. He wishes mediocrity was his problem right now.
  21. Do you have a crystal ball that tells you so, mystic Meg? I am of the opinion that even at Tuchels worst, it wasn't as bad as freefalling like we are now. Sure, he wasn't a world class manager but he was a solid in the tier just below that. Every team in the world, from PSG to Madrid, would clamour for Tuchel because, simply put, he is the best availible manager. I don't get these comparisons besmirching the good name of our UCL winning manager. It's kind of like in Animal Farm (George Orwell), when the pigs all blame the problems on snowball and use fake stats to try convince the animals that life is better than before under snowball. Very apt that book symbolises the end of the soviet union while a certain Russian left us last year too. The pigs liked making speeches about their fucking vision too.
  22. What makes you say that? He did nothing against the bottom side in the PL. What is his level atm? He looked like a Donkey trying to hold up the ball, but maybe potter isn't using him to his strength.
  23. I don't really care how he did at ManUre because they are not well run, and spuds because they are stingy. Roma fans are saying getting top 4, with players like Cristante and solbakken, is his greatest achievement. And he won UCL with Inter. It just proves that Mourinho can do a better job at a 'middling' club as well as a big club than Potter.
  24. I guarantee he would at least get us competing for the league. I don't need to talk about his first stint because his stats and results say enough. His second stint was overshadowed by him verbally abusing Eva Carneiro, and causing a shitshow with the club. With a clean start, he would've learned not to make problems and would make the best of what he's got like he's done at Roma.
  25. To bring back mourinho? I'll accept its not ideal but in the short term at least we won't be in free fall like we are under Potter. I obviously would rather we had pep or carlo but since neither are availible, I would prefer our manager rather than poch or Enrique.
