A player should also not be given a free header. Which was the inital and more brutal mistake. Once the header is won, the ball can go straight into willy's hand, out of play, in goal or a very lucky straight to bartley. Who is that no.3 of ours marking in the picture.

We don't need to sell right now. The FFP monitoring period now takes 2019-20 and 2020-21 season as one entity. So the hazard, luiz, kalas, aina, hector, lamptey, etc etc sales along with Morata, pasalic cover us FFP wise (swiss ramble did a good piece on it). Makes more sense to off load them next season to boost our "profit by player sales" plus actually get better prices for a fair few of them and then use it to buy whoever FL would want them (for eg a world class CB).

Actually we are not looking to sell. If we wanted to, we could at a cut price and balance our books to a degree. But with FFP monitoring period changing and 2019-20 and 2020-21 getting clubbed together, we are not in trouble. The hazard sale, luiz, kalas, aina, hector, lamptey etc really set us well ahead of the FFP limitations. We don't NEED to sell to make it work for FFP. Lastly, clearly, it's not. Lb has already cost us 2 points this season. If chilwell, gets a minor injury with 1 month out, that would be the difference between 70 or 80 point season. That would be the difference between a "decent progressive season" or a "don't see progress, get a sack" season. At the end of the day, you can't have a championship level player playing a decent amount of time without it costing you dearly. Alonso is shit, if he plays 15 PL games, we won't get top4.

I don't think we have the mids for a 4-2-31. Kova and kante have shown a number of times that they can't play together. Our best bet is a 4-1-4-1 with kai and mount as no. 8s.

Kante, rice, kova, Billy, mount, kai, Barkley/rlc. Next year get Conor in. As for Barkley vs RLC, very confused. RLC has something our mid does not have, physicality. But he is not going to get that confidence back until he actually plays. So probably loan him this season and hope he gets his game back.
