If Rice is part if the package I do not see that being an option. Tbf, we actually really need a CM/DMF with Rice's abilities. Only other options for me are: SMS, Gravenberch and Camavinga. However, all these options have issues: 1) SMS has big questions over his stamina and ability to pick up the pace of the league. However, technically he is a very good footballer for a player of his size with both his feet. Furthermore, we could actually do with a player of his age profile as we don't have enough in the 25-29 category. 2) Camavinga is still super young and only had Ligue 1 experience. We need a player in the middle who is ready to go day one. Obviously has a lot of potential and the natural ability to be the best of the lot but he may need some time and would be super hard to get hold of and expensive. 3) Gravenberch. Similar to Camavinga but probably a little more ready for the PL physically. However, players from the Dutch league always feel like a crap shoot for me.

Tammy and say £10m for Rice then that is ok. If not, they can jog on. I am not the biggest Tammy fan, however I do worry he is one of those CF's that don't look anything that special then gets to 25 and becomes a machine. Both Drogba and Costa were like this.

The score line is essentially 2 v 3.5. It is not absolutely dire for a team like Bayern who can score for fun, especially against a team like PSG who are notoriously flaky in big games.

Amazing the continuing influence Lampard has on the club to ensure his son plays every week.

Don't worry boys and girls, agent Batsh*t just did us a massive favour!

At this moment in time, it is not looking likely unless we pull a 2012 off again.

Don't see Dortmund qualifying for the CL via the league. They're 7 points behind now with a harder run in and only 7 games left.
-
Horrible performance. Too many players looked like they thought this would be a walk in the park.

Jorgi is having an absolute nightmare.
-
True! But he was a free agent. A bit different to €60m+ Eto'o in 2009 and €150m for Håland today.

Tbf, Pep doesn't really play with a CF and he inherited Kun. He could be telling the truth on this one. Only time he brought a big CF it was a clusterf*ck (Zlatan.)

Because they were born in the North-East and still have family friends in the area?

Inter's owners are in a bit of trouble I think. They had to fold their Chinese club after winning the league. It could be they need to fire sell and/or sell the club.

I think Billy will have a good chance of starting this one. Kova played 90 mins, Kante has a minor injury. Revised team, after internationals: Mendy Dave Silva Zouma James Jorgi Billy Alonso Puli Ziyech Giroud

Barkley's wage means he will probably enter Drinky/Kepa/Batsh*t territory soon i.e. cannot be sold owing to their wage. Same with RLC.
-
Think he needs to go to a sports psychiatrist. This is getting slightly ridiculous now.

Why? For me you have two options. One you can go down a route of a cap (which is applicable to every team in Europe) like the NFL where every team has a firm cap of say £200m a year that they cannot go over, or you have a free market where you can do what you want. For me, this issue is about parity. You can either have no rules and allow all teams to have the opportunity to get lucky and get an owner like Roman/Abu Dhabi/Qatar or you have a cap, which limits all teams in exactly the same manner. This whole notion of FFP or teams 'only spending what they earn' sounds to me like a stitch up by the biggest clubs as it allows them to hamper small teams from growing or finding external finances. I agree if the money was true debt (i.e. bank debt) then this is an issue but select teams cannot be going about dictating rules about what 'type' of money can and cannot be used to solidify their position. For instance what is worse? Real Madrid and Barca having nearly £1bn in debt to banks (and insist on rules that prevent other clubs with lower turn over to do the same) or City/Chelsea/PSG who bring personal external finances into the game?
-
Problem however is that those rules would never have been legally binding in a court of law as they contravened the EU's movement of capital laws. I get that City broke the rules and pretended to go along with them, however the rules would never hold up in court, which is probably the real reason it has been canned.
-
Not really, FFP was just a cartel system that allowed all the big clubs to take out massive loans and prevent smaller ones from doing so. City will continue as they always have (but I do not see them getting overly crazy). PSG may go mental but they play in the French league which will always be an issue for them.

Well I did say it was dependent on the getting of a good CF.

Tbf, he is a bit of a risk. Very injury prone and gives the ball away a lot. That doesn't really strike me as a player we should be going all in for. At CB the only real need we have at the moment is a left footed one. Furthermore, with our lack of goals I prefer to get a CF and roll with Guehi instead. If we keep 3atb and get a good CF, I am comfortable with a CB unit of: Silva, AC, Rudi, Dave, Zouma/Guehi.

For sure, as I have said about Mount he can play No.6, No.8 or No.10 (the modern day version of it); although not sure about a No.4 as I think he would be wasted their a little. Personally, I reckon he ends up a No.6 or No.8 (depending on formation) as I am not sure he will ever be clinical enough with his finishing/final pass to be a premier No.10. However, it is good to see that Mount is now starting to be more widely recognized for his talents and potential. @Tomo is another who has said this all along.

As Conte said, he is a very nice boy who you would be delighted with if your daughter was dating them.
