  1. It say's '50m or less money and a player'.
  2. For sure a CM with some height and attacking ability is vital now.
  3. If they want €50m (I am presuming it is Euros) then that should be something like Zouma plus €10-15m. If that happens I am ok with it, although it may make me re-evaluate the need for a expensive CM4 as we will need more height in the side. However, I am still of the opinion a CM should be a Goeretzka/SMS rather than a Rice/the Monaco kid whose name I've still not learned to write/Camavinga.
  4. I am not a fan of Zouma but I recognise the need for a balance. When I first saw this rumour I presumed AC wasn't re-signing.
  5. You got any football boots Vesper? May need to give you a call when Burnley turn up 😉
  6. Yeah, this is all well and good. Kepa was in the top 30% of GK's in Spain at ball collection when playing there, so take the aerial stat with a pinch of salt. For me, this transfer makes me think one of Rudi or AC may be off, probably AC as I see Zouma staying purely because he is our only dominant aerial CB (Rudi a close 2nd.) For me most important thing we need from midfield is goals and physical presence. I read Goretzka is in his last year (something that bypassed me until the weekend.) If something can be done there then we should be all over it as I wanted him before he went there. If not him then SMS. Please not Rice or a pure DM at this point as it looks like 3atb is here to stay, no need for a pure DMF in that formation. Do they have a bigger bromance than Rice and Mount? I see the dangers of buying a 5'9" CB. He is however very good on the ball. Not Lukaku, please anything but big money on Lukaku. This is a moot point. Anyone that watched Monaco knew Baka owed his living to Fabinho. I said this on CFCNET where I have posted a lot longer before he was brought. Baka was the DMF but he was total dogsh*t there too and only got anyway with being so dire as Fabinho bailed his arse out all the time.
  7. Varane has been suspect for around 2 seasons now. I think he is a good player but he was way overhyped between 19-23 and has continued to dine out on that hype ever since. That said, he is quite a bit better than Lindelof so Utd are improved with him.
  8. If Drinky makes it back into the squad and proves even half useful, that'll be up there in terms of comebacks with Lazarus.
  9. Tbf, it was a team that is about the level of a Conference South team in England.
  10. I fear Baka, but hope for Gallagher. Tbh, I would like a goal scoring CM but I just do not see it happening.
  11. I honestly think we will roll with one of the loan CM's for CM4 this year.
  12. Oh, no! If they're using Martial we have no chance 😱😱😱😱😱😱😱
  13. They still need a CF and Eze is done for most of next season. Personally, I do not see where they're getting any goals from.
  14. This is hilarious. So the club are going to bid £130m, but have let this joker know that if £130m doesn't work, they'll go to £130m + £20m. What a strategy, very clandestine.
  15. Lets not forget he is on an insane €800k a week.
  16. Always slightly sceptical when players discuss transfers after they are made. I mean he is going to make it sound like the Dippers were always his first choice, isn't he? Only thing I would point to is that the club obviously felt confident enough to tell TC he could leave in March. At that point Kepa wasn't in the picture so I have always presumed it was Alisson and we must've agreed terms with him. Maybe the lack of CL was a real deal breaker for him.
  17. This window goes to the end of August unlike prior ones that finished on the first day of the season. This has also been a EURO/COPA year and lets not forget Covid which means most players would've wanted a real break for their three-four weeks off. Additionally, the only real deals that have been done are: Hakimi - Inter needed to sell early owing to finances Sancho - A deal that essentially took a year +. I suspect this window will be a trickle then a deluge.
  18. That doesn't really make sense as we were Champions only the year before. The rumour I believe is that Chelsea were hard balling Roma over the fee and Liverpool swooped in and took him. The irony of this, is that it then lead to Granny going back to TC to tell him he couldn't leave, after saying he could do in March, then when he went on strike the club went into melt down and brought Kepa for £72m on £170k a week for 7 years.
  19. Are City honestly thinking of selling Laporte? If so we should be all over that. Not many CB's in the world of his level and left footed.
  20. Quite glad they're the ones dropping £160m + £400k a week wages on a 28 year old with dodgy ankles.
  21. I've got a feeling he may struggle a bit at Utd. Not sure if it will be short term or longer, but I can see him not adapting to the low blocks he'll find over here well.
  22. I cannot see him being here beyond the coming season. Maybe to Jan 2022 at a push.
  23. What did we get for this one, a bag of crisps and a pint?
