  1. Are any of these players 12 years old or younger? If not the club won't look at them.
  2. Celebrated that like someone off of these boards if they scored. I am not confident he will be much more than deep cover, but at least we know he'll always put the team first.
  3. James can play CB and DMF as well. Imo, he should've been moved to DMF towards the end of last season. Either way we can get James and Gusto in the same team.
  4. Yeah, but equally the opposition made it a game where technical quality on the ball wasn't really required and just being able to win the ball would make you look great. So, yes, best game from him, but I don't think he showed anything that will ally the fears of us who think he isn't technically good enough. Yeah, Palmer's poise is insane. He has now had at least three pens with lots going on around him - City, Utd and this one. Each time he has taken them as if he is in his back garden. I put it down to no Disasi. Everton are the best team in the league on set pieces and we handled them pretty well. Disasi just switches off too much and is too easy to lose with a tiny bit of movement. Hopefully, Trev and Silva can stay fit and see the season out. Well if that is the case why did he not sub them off? We were 5 up at that point. Even worse he huged Noni when he came off. If he doesn't want to be undermined he needs to put down markers.
  5. Jackson and Mad should have been subbed immediately. How Poch is still allowing this to happen shows he has no authority.
  6. Tbf, Gusto is a good player and I still think there is a lot more to come from Colwill, James and Lavia. That said, we are dire in numerous areas and way overspent on far too many players.
  7. And be within 6pts of 5th with that currently being occupied by the serial bottlers Spuds who we still have to play at home. Not sure how this is possible considering our season, but it also shows how we just cannot keep getting in our own way.
  8. Thing I don't understand is what do people think Mudryk is going to do in this situation? Therefore, I question why: a) Poch brought him on. b ) why Poch continually has him in the box as a defender at set pieces, when we would be better off telling him to go up to the half way line to draw an opposition player out of our box. Anyone with half a brain cell can see Mudryk should not be put in the box to defend set pieces ever.
  9. Honestly think Poch is just a Spurs agent. How this is still being allowed to happen when Cole has buried every pens this season is beyond a joke. Feel like he just throws the team out there and says 'do your best'.
  10. I keep asking people what patterns of play they see with Poch? Normally, I am a back the manager type of guy but there is no strategy to our play and we continually only see changes in-game that are reactionary and the same old players stinking up games when they should be dropped. I get the guy isn't going to be sacked now, but even if he somehow flukes an FA Cup, he still has to go in the Summer.
  11. You know Clownlake are absolutely twitching like a crackhead wanting to raise ticket prices massively but holding back as they know they can not do so before European competition has been secured.
  12. Not sure where we get that. For me, I think Silva from Benfica is the one to get. I reckon he has a good chance of becoming WC in a couple of years. Need to get him and partner him with Colwill. After that allow Badi, Disasi and Fofana (too broken to be a CB1/2 - at best he becomes a Ledley King type player) to fight it out for CB 3/4. This said, we do need experience but I would choose to do that with a GK to guide the CB's in front of him.
  13. For me, he should come off the bench more frequently. Last night he was the only one who was driving at that weak Utd line instead of trying to play around it. Not saying he is a great player, but I much rather him come off the bench than Sterling or Mudryk (who seems to stay on the bench when he is a sub.)
  14. He really is. I honestly cannot see what he does well apart from being a scrappy ball winner - with a lot of his ball wining being required because he has either caused issues with ball transition or has been caught out of position.
  15. There are alternatives, however the alternatives would make for a shocking indication of where his current standard is currently at. As you say the price tag saves him along with Poch's cluelessness in knowing when to drop players - see Sanchez, Silva, Disasi and Sterling.
  16. You are aware Brighton last season moved him out of CM and started playing him as a FB and out wide at times. I raised this when buying him that I was concerned he was limited with the ball and Brighton also moving him about supported this - however, I declined to make a strong judgement as I hadn't watched much of Brighton last season. However, everything I have seen this season tells me that not only is he limited with the ball but he also has poor to very poor positional awareness. For me, he needs to be dropped asap for one of the kid CM's as he is causing problems both on and off the ball.
  17. By impactful I meant in terms of goals and assists, although I didn't make it obvious.
  18. So happy we got this guy. First player since I can barely remember when I think we have brought a player who may end up as one of the best/most impactful players in the world in his position.
  19. No way Conte comes back. He would be drop kicking Clownlake in the face within a week.
  20. May sound crazy but feel he may need another loan. Trying to lead the line at Chelsea is such a thankless task with all the baggage that comes with it. That said, we are so desperate for a CF, so not bringing him back could backfire spectacularly if he went on to have a 20 goal season with someone else.
  21. Poch loves height so I would say one of the CM's. For me Carney is one of those players who is great further up the pitch but would have a better career if he added some defensive nous to his game and became an 8. Personally, I really like him so hopefully he can do something like that.
  22. I support him in all the games. I do not boo my own players in the ground - Sterling I cannot stand but I will always still applaude him off the pitch - even if half-heatedly as my feelings are that crowd chanting can only have a positive impact if positive. I'll admit the the naming was probably unwise, however it is a reflection on what my personal opinions/oberservations are of his skill set. Personally, I don't see the improvement you're talking about apart from the interceptions - however even then I have serious concerns about how he does this with the angles he comes in at; therefore, I believe his need to intercept so much - and especially in having to go down to ground to intercept - is largely due to his poor positional play to begin with, so he is essentially just trying to bail himself out most times. I honestly do believe once Lavia or even James come back and put in his position, we'll see a lot more stability in the side when trying to transition the ball from back to front and when dealing with counter attacks from the opposition.
  23. Other than run about a lot and make a nuisance of himself what does he do? His ability on the ball is what concerns me most, his positional play is also very poor. Reason he keeps having to make tackles from weird angles is because he has picked up the wrong position. In addition, if you're lucky enough to go to games, you'll frequently see Enzo and the WB's having to constantly talk/shout at him to move him into his correct position off the ball as he has a massive habit of chasing the ball. Honestly, once we get someone who can move the ball in a DM position and isn't a complete defensively/physical liability, the quicker people will see Caicedo is incredibly underwhelming.
