Just apoint Zola. I dont think Conte should stay, but It doesn't make sense to replace Conte with another outdated italian coach. This whole Sarri saga is just ridiculous.
-
O find It really hard to believe that the silence mean the club always wanted to keep Conte, because even the players are saying they want the situation solved. If the club always intended to keep Conte, Hazard wont be talking to the press pretending the doesn't know who will be charge next season.
-
Indeed. It was the same thing as Chelsea asking Diego Costa to return and play in UCL...when It was obvious the club was just playing a legal strategy. Conte is probably trying to not give the club an excuse to fire him without compesation.
-
This doesn't make any sense: negotiating the amount of money Conte will receive IF he leaves. If the club is negotiating the fee, the it means Conte is gone.
-
Between Daily Mail and Sky Sports, Daily Mail is the better source. Sky Sports only report stuff when they are basically official.
-
It seems the club is finally learning the lesson: never sign a contract that is longer than 2 years.
-
Conte removed Costa to replace him with Morata. This is the manager wanted more control in transfer market. lol And dont come up with bullshit Costa wanted to leave. Drogba tried to force his way out for at least 3 seasons, and the club always told him he wasnt going nowhere.

What If Chelsea is after a manager that is in World Cup?
-
lol HIlarious that some people really thought Conte had a chance at Real.
-
No mate, it doesn't look like that. It looks what it is: no one got a clue about what is happening. Right now not even Conte or the players know whats going on behind the scenes, and it seems not even the board got a clue.
-
Yes! This team is really missing a Salomon.
-
Hahaha. What? Blanc can be announced anytime...but still ia a planilha B. This just does not make any sense.
-
I lost most of the respect I had for Conte after the recent weeks events. I mean, the club is openly looking for another manager while he still is in charge...instead of keeping his pride and walking away, he is accepting this situation because he does't want to lose the money. I really doubt Mourinho would accept this kind of shit.
-
This Matt Law alway come up with obvious stuff. What a bullshitter.
-
Thats not true mate. Thats not true at all. Its just weird that people are buying this silly narrative. Mourinho was fired back in 2007 for the same very reason why Conte became unhappy past season: lack of control in transfer market and he also thought the team lacked ambition in 07/08 transfer window. There is also a lot of missed targets in the past because the team was not willing to play what was asked: Neymar and Aguero to name a few. This club have operating this way since Abramovich took charge, what happenned was that for the first time a manager was willing to to trash talk the board every fucking press conference, giving the impression for some people that now the board is different, and thats just not true.
-
I just checked and Scolari was appointed in 11 june, and AVB 22 june. So, its not the first time we are in june without a manager.
-
Perhaps only a break from Champions League...so Chelsea might be an option.
-
Why not Zidane?

As I said it just doesn't make any sense. Basically a non story. Its obvious that for Napoli after that deadline, they won't pay a manager that is longer needed, so if any club is willing to hire Sarri, its obvious Napoli will let him go, because it just does not make any sense to waste money on someone who is no longer working for you AND in such situation no club in the world would pay the release clause of a manager that is already fired, because Napoli will let him go for free. Sarri situation is basically the same situation of any manager that is sacked before the end of the contract. For example, if any team want to hire Conte, theoretically they have to pay Chelsea a release clause, but since Conte is no longer needed, Chelsea will just let him go for free and will also avoid paying one year of salary for a manager that is fired. I don't even know why such a thing have to be explained because its obvious: "Once the clause has expired, Sarri has to terminate the contract with Napoli by mutual consent, which means negotiating a way out."
-
Can someone explain what does that even mean? A release clause that expires in 2 days? So what is going to happen if no one pay the release clause before that dealine? Napoli will pay one more year of salary for a manager that is already sacked? Thats one of the most absurd things I've ever read about football in ages, because its pretty obvious that there is no such thing as release clause that expires in x days. If a manager is no longer needed, and another team want to hire that manager, the only rational option for the club is to release the manager for free, other than paying one year of useless salary for a manager that is already fired. Its the kind of news that if you think two seconds about it you realize it just doesn't make any sense. It just the old tactic of creating drama in exchange for clicks.

Why make such a big deal about a instagram post? Nowadays people complain about the way political correctness is taking over of football, but create a whole situation after a player put a trophy emoji over the manager on a instagram picture. People being salty in this situation has nothing to do with "classless" or "distasteful". Both Conte and Mourinho came with comments in past years that can be easily described as "classless" or "distasteful", but their fans alway used to LOVE their attitude, describing them from "badass" to "a man with genuine emotions". In my opinion what is happening is exactly what I said, people got mad because William showed no respect for Conte, but why should William show respect or a man who is probably gone? Its like saying any player should show respect for Mourinho for the things the did in the past. His instagram post came after the end of the game, when the season was also finished. Willian probably knows that Conte is also finished as Chelsea manager, so the thought he could share what he really think about the Italian.
-
Indeed, but Willian is a 2 time PL winner (something Mata never achieved) and FA Cup winner, those are great achievements. Its pretty funny that people get salty because he just doesn't get along with a manager that is already sacked.
-
Geez...It seems some people really believe there is even a small chance of Conte staying.
-
imo Conte staying the whole season already is huge change in Roman's approach towards managers. Few years ago he would be gone before the end of last year.
-
Definitely. Roman won't sack him today and break the mood...will probably wait until midweek. So Conte got some more days. Thats some time.
