People are missing the point. What the other side really is trying to say is that Falcao's main strength lies within the box. We're not saying he's not gold, far from it. That's not saying he's poor outside of it, he's just merely average outside the 18 yard zone. Falcao is excellent at what he does... However I do chuckle at people who say that signing Falcao would guarantee us the league title and those that say he's as good as Messi/Ronaldo. Our biggest inconsistency is creating chances inside the box regularly. It's not like Torres has been missing guilt edged chances. People may hypothetically say that Falcao will fashion more chances for himself due to his supposed better off the ball movements but it really isn't as simple as that. There is no urgent need to buy Falcao at this very moment as Torres has been decent up to now and we still have Danny and Lukaku waiting in the wings. Let's just see how the season pans out till January and see whether a front four of Torres, Mata, Oscar and Hazard have fully clicked, or whether they're close to that, and whether they're good enough too. It is then when we can judge whether we need a new striker or not.
