  1. Could you please link me to these sources? De Rossi has come out numerous times against stuff like racism, violence between Lazio etc. If he really was racist it would be better known and better documented as he is a global footballing icon. A quick google search brings up nothing whatsoever. I seriously think you're just stirring the pot here.
  2. Not the Barcelona fans I know. Most think he's Xavi's heir. He mostly comes on for Xavi or starts ahead of him.
  3. What? --- (ANSA) - Rome, June 8 - AS Roma and Italy midfielder Daniele De Rossi and Milan's Jewish community came out in support of Mario Balotelli Friday after racist hate sites seized on news that his adoptive mother has Jewish roots. "We are shocked," said Daniele Nahum, vice president of the Milan Jewish Community. "Cases of this sort in the past year are numerous. We say enough with these sites that should be shut down". The 21-year-old forward, who has Ghanaian roots, was on the Azzurri's pre-tournament visit to Auschwitz when it emerged that his Italian adoptive mother has Jewish roots. Racist blogs said "as well as a ni**er, he's a Jew too". Balotelli said in a recent interview with France Football magazine that he would walk off the pitch if he is racially abused at Euro 2012, amid concerns about possible violence and racism at the tournament in Poland and Ukraine that kicks off Sunday. "We haven't spoken about it yet," said De Rossi, "but if something happens we need to all be united in defence of Mario and (Angelo) Ogbonna," a centre back of Nigerian decent. Italy coach Cesare Prandelli, who has said Italy will stop playing during Euro 2012 if Balotelli is subjected to any monkey chants, said the anti-Semitic incident "isn't even worthy of a response".
  4. No, nono. It's actually at €5m. €30m + Torres == €30 - €25m = €5m. Napoli would be retarded to take that. Unfortunately for us they're not, even if they might have The Waiter as their manager.
  5. Just because he loves Rome doesn't mean he doesn't want to experience a new challenge before his career finishes. The deal isn't is as unlikely as you're making it out to be. De Rossi might have an ambition to test himself out in the PL.
  6. Hate Ian Holloway but this makes it quite tolerable.
  7. Which is perfect if we want to see Chalobah/Ake/RLC breaking through to the first team.
  8. The PL whilst Mourinho was our manager (120 games). http://www.thechels.co.uk/4349-premier-league-jose-mourinho/
  9. Belgium are my second favourite national team ATM. Huge potential. Mouthwatering really. Great goalkeeper, great defence (even though they're all centre backs they're all very much adept with the ball), plenty of options in midfield. Brutal strike force. All so young as well. They get a proper coach and they can easily be number 1 in the world in my opinion.
  10. Can you please stop saying that? How many of those are youngsters? How many of those would actually be in the first team squad? Nonsense.
  11. He was actually playing CB for that goal if I'm not mistaken. Also, the greatest thing about having De Rossi in midfield is that it allows us to release Luiz as an unorthodox, auxiliary attacking weapon from CB, which is really a bonus to the whole team as it gives opposition one more threat to look after - which in turn opens and frees up more space for the likes of Mata, Hazard, Oscar and whoever is playing up front. Luiz can go forward with more ease as De Rossi will be adequately able to fill in when he goes on one of his adventures. I think De Rossi would also compliments Oscar (who's future I see in the pivot) well in the pivot and adds much needed grit in our midfield. I'd be all for this signing if we got him for a decent price.
  12. Too many people overreacting. Too many quick to use this as an excuse to blast the board.
  13. Different type of players and he's going out on loan where he'll have first team football. Comes back to us next year an even better player. Schurrle adds much needed depth in the squad. Don't see how we've been "completely screwed".
  14. I would rather have KDB going out on loan to be a starter at a CL club than him being a bit of a squad player here to be honest. Looks like its a done deal nevertheless. Good luck Kevin.
  15. They're still very far apart from us, the Mancunians, and even Spurs and Arse I think. Unless they make 3/4 serious signings I wouldn't worry too much.
  16. Means we're definitely signing a top class midfielder in my opinion.
  17. @1RobBeasley: I am pleased to officially announce that Jose Mourinho signed a contract with Chelsea FC on Tuesday night to be their new manager!!!!!
  18. @BBCSport: Malaga manager Manuel Pellegrini says he has a verbal agreement to succeed Roberto Mancini at Manchester City #mcfc
  19. Name me one "world class" midfield performance Luiz has given us. Cahill and Ivanovic better defenders? Have you watched us at all this season? Luiz has been our best defender.
  20. Wasn't he played more at the left wing though? Or am I just getting confused?
