Tbf, Rodwell was a huge talent before City ruined him. He's not worth that though.

We aren't a charity indeed but for a club legend like Frank, who is counted as by many CFC fans as the best ever CFC player - it's nothing but normal to have one of our biggest legends to come train with us and have an important leadership and squad role. It wouldn't seem like charity at all to me. It's Lampard we're talking about here. I don't think his integrity as a footballer would be questioned if we offered that during his 6 month loan - where fitness is the main reason lets not forget, not winning titles because he's only there for 6 months and we offer that here as well regardless - here at CFC. You could apply 'charity' to the City move as well. The main reasons he's being signed is because he's a HG player. IMO it's clear that City and Pellegrini are clearly using this move for that reason mainly, and also to spite CFC and Jose. So one could easily flip it around and say that Frank's integrity as a pro footballer is also challenged in this situation.

Instead of buying a solid CB as 4th choice CB why not give Zouma a chance to realise his huge potential? We can't really afford to bring in more foreign players to begin with anyway so I don't see the point in bringing in another CB, and I can't really see an English CB that I would like to start over Zouma either.

Because he's a CFC legend.......£2m is nothing for someone like Frank.
-
Nope, from my knowledge it's a minimum of two GKs that need to be registered. Blackman and Beeney don't even need to be because they're u21.
-
I wouldn't say one of the best but in a 3 man midfield as the anchor man, Mikel is certainly a good player there.
-
I agree that he does have the scope to improve, hence why I said in the Romeu thread that it's better for him to go out on loan and get regular playing time rather than being a squad player like Mikel, who as of right now is a better squad player to have because of his experience and reliability.
-
Might as well just relocate completely to Paris then pal, can't see it happening in the near future.
-
The problem is then our 3rd midfielder. JOM is probably 5th choice as it stands right now, so it still makes his comment strange because it's not like Romeu improved much on the 'quality' aspect of our midfield.
-
Mikel is waiting to get his British passport, then he'll move for a decent fee IMO. Still would rather have him as a squad player over Romeu, who I do think is slightly overhyped on here.
-
How the hell is a midfield (for two (or three) positions) of Fabregas, Matic, Ramires, MVG, Mikel + one of the youngsters thin? That's 5/6 players for 2/3 positions. Not thin at all.
-
Can't imagine that being the case tbh. I can't imagine them holding Frank to ransom and forcing him to go out on loan to City - unless of course Frank himself agreed to that.
-
Mikel is Matic's back up, we don't need to play him next to Matic unless somehow we find that Cesc, MVG and Ramires are out injured which is very, very unlikely. Mikel is a better back up option than Romeu because he's ahead of him in his development - he's already the final product, whilst Romeu needs as many games as possible to aid his development. As it stands right now Mikel is also the better player IMO, Romeu is a bit overhyped on here.
-
Why not here? He's not going to play much at City at all, especially if their top 3/4 midfielders stay fit (Silva if he's playing at the 10, Yaya, Fernandinho, Fernando)... I'd even argue that he'd be able to play just as much, if not even more here. There's certainly space for a legend like Lamps to be at the club for a mere 6 months...I don't like how hjperdeath is sort of insinuating that the club offered him a really bad deal so Frank has a right to sort of retaliate because our club is awful etc. so we shouldn't be disappointed with Frank, but disappointed with the club and I think that's bollocks to be frank. I can't imagine us or Jose refusing to loan Lamps for 6 months. I don't see anything we here at CFC can't offer Frank that City can for 6 months, apart from money maybe.
-
Again I ask you if he wants to stay fit, why not just come back to us? The fitness reasoning is irrelevant IMO, it's not like City were the only club on the planet willing to loan Frank for fitness reasons.
-
Hahaha you've got to be kidding me. Me saying Robben is one of the elite players in the world has nothing to do with me being Dutch. I call it how I see it pal. I can defend any player with passion, irregardless of nationality. Go to the Luiz or Sturridge (two non Dutch players in case you never figured that out) threads and you'll see that for yourself. My point is you clearly wouldn't be defending Lukaku's actions if he wasn't Belgian. I'm telling you that if Lukaku was Dutch, I'd be saying the exact same thing I've been saying about him.
-
He's spoken to Frank himself, has nothing to do with 'behind the scenes' stuff.
-
Why the hell do Liverpool have more TV than anyone else?
-
City and United play with two strikers ffs.
-
Do you even know the definition of a selling club?
-
Again I ask, do you honestly think he'd have a more significant squad role at Man City than here?
-
Or maybe Romeu + not registering Mark.
-
Do you truly believe that at City he'll have an elevated squad status? He'd still pretty much be backup behind the likes of Yaya, Silva, Fernandinho, Fernando etc... I can't really see his ambitions not being matched here at CFC... The main reason for his loan has to be fitness right? Why can't he do that here for 6 months?
-
Are you drunk?
-
I agree, but I'd much rather someone like Schurrle - who is renowned for taking these type of shots from distance - take these sort of shots, and I'd much rather have Costa as the one who is scoring the rebounds. It certainly is no biggie. Almost every striker scores the overwhelming majority of their goals in the box.
