Mount had 2 goals in 37 games between Southampton in early October and United FA cup semi final (thanks DDG) 10 days ago. He had strong start of the season and strong finish but lets not pretend he is consistent goal scoring threat. Also before Wolves one assist from open play all season. He is very frustrating player in the final 3rd. More than Willian actually. Speaking of consistency even after the restart he was replaced 2 times on halftime (Sheffield and Leicester) and early in the second half against Liverpool. Three horrific games for him. Just a cameo against WH, did not play against Norwich. City was also bad offensive game for him. Missed a sitter and did not play easy pass to Puli for goal scoring chance. This is 6 from 11 games after the restart. In other 5 he has been solid or great like the last game.

Not even on Villa bench since restart. Still 2 more years on contract Next step Championship with Chelsea paying 70% of his salary.

But even all this can be justified with many things. Derby just a Championship side, RLC injured all year, Barkley being Barkley, transitional year... It will be interesting next season when we have Havertz, Ziyech, fully fit Ruben... I am sure he will still get plenty of game time, after all Frank would rather play him as a winger than Callum and Pedro.

Winner of this will face Liverpool in exactly one month! Bayern is on August 8th I guess players will have only two weeks off after that game. We lost last 5 CS games!!! Kai, Hakim and Timo debut.

Yes, game time should not be a decisive factor. Kepa played 2000 minutes more than Giroud and it is clear who did better. And picking Kovacic over Pulisic only because of this especially does not make sense. PL full season: 3420 minutes Kovacic played 2074 mins. Pulisic 1727 mins. So Kova played just 347 minutes more than Puli. Giroud just 999 minutes. Ok Puli had injury but good question for Frank is why 3 best players this season played just 60%, 50% and 29% of all PL minutes this season? If you look at Kovacic thread you will see huge periods without any posts. And we usually after every game praise or criticize players on their threads. I think this tell us something. Kovacic is pretty consistent, he quietly does what Frank ask him to do. But he does not offer anything in the final 3rd. If he did not play we would not miss him like we would Puli or Olie imo. I think without Puli or Olie we would not get CL. I am not trying to criticize Kova or anything this is just my reasoning why I have Puli as POTY over him.

I would go with: 1. Pulisic 2. Kovacic Giroud was amazing but not enough minutes to win this. Azpi and Willian very solid. I had 15 goals mark for Tammy before the season and he did it. Mount, Zouma, Alonso and Jorginho would make top10 for me. James is promising I think he will become great. Still a lot to learn. Tomori also solid and promising, lets see in the future, not ready yet. Gilmour had 2 amazing games also bright future ahead! RLC not enough minutes to judge anything, next season is massive for him. Caballero was solid when he played. Kante was not bad but his standard is much, much higher plus injuries... Ross as always hot and cold. Sometimes he is prime Zidane, sometimes semi pro player CHO same as RLC except he played more and was actually very good in small part of the season when he made some nice assists. Pedro did not play much, thanks for everything! And in the end huge disappointments: Kepa, Rudiger (both much better before this season what happend?) In Sarri season they were top5 for me with Eden, RLC and Kante. They have been horrible this season. Emerson also huge disappointment, I had him as a starter in 4 at the back before the season. Chris also not good at all. And Michy lol. Thanks for a goal in Amsterdam. Just because I have Willian (please leave), Jorginho, Alonso, Tammy, Zouma and Mount in top 10 it does not mean i am happy with them. None of them should be starter next season. Maybe Zouma if he can build nice partnership with new CB. What do you guys think?

I do not rate Onana or Henderson. Never did. Kepa this season apart (mental issues) is much, much better but since he is where he is I would rather go for if not Oblak someone like Areola, Pope, Foster... And of course my number one target Cakir!

Oblak and Gimenez have same release clause. What is better? Oblak and cheaper CB option for 30m max like Ginter or Gabriel or splashing cash on Gimenez and buy cheap GK like Pope, Areola or Onana? What would improve us more?

What is funny is that Frank said it is height issue. For next season we are replacing Giroud 193cm or Abraham 191cm with Werner 180cm. Also Alonso is 188cm. Next LB will be who? For sure someone much shorter. Chilwell is 178cm, Tagliafico just 172cm. Telles 181cm... With two CBs we usually had 4 tall players on the pitch this season. Next season 2CBs and only Kai is tall with 189cm. So two tall players out just one in. I do not think this is the issue because I documented how almost all set piece goals we conceded are from shorter players than what we have but if Frank thinks this is the problem than idk what is he doing? But like I said City have just 2 or 3 tall players in the squad and it is not a issue.

Looks like this is very important to Frank. Probably the reason why we are not after Sancho. He seems to have some discipline issues.

Liverpool losing Lallana and Lovren. They will struggle with team depth next season if they do not bring 3 or 4 new players.

2 year loan to Valencia or Sevilla. We would get around 10-15m fee. He will bounce back there no doubt. Look at Morata. Very solid season in Atletico. 16 goals and 4 assists in 2783 minutes. Second best goal scorer is Felix with 8. Atletico scored just 67 goals this season so Morata played part in 30% of their goals. 2783 minutes is around 31 games and they had 49 this season. So great stats for Alvaro. Summer 2022 Kepa still has 3 more years on contract so we sell him for good money or maybe even bring him back. This is best scenario for us I think.

Maybe he really wants to play like City? Pulisic Werner Willian/CHO Havertz Ziyech Kante It would open another place for Mount and RLC to play. Plus Ziyech can go on RW so Mount would start. Willian and CHO would still get plenty of game time. Assuming Jorgi and Ross are sold. Kovacic would play deeper I guess.
