  1. Players with contract expiring in 2022: CB: Varane, Romagnoli, Ginter, Sule, Elvedi, Stones. CM/DM: Zakaria, Goretzka, Kessie, Sabitzer, Camavinga, Soumare. Apart from Haaland I think these are two positions we need the most. And we should look from this group of players. With one year left on contract they will be cheaper than usual and there are not better option than this. Tremendous talent on this list!
  2. Seeing Goretzka just made 3 open play assists in one game makes me realize how little all our midfielders offer in that regard. PL this season: Gilmour 0 (I know, just 34 mins), Mount 0, Jorginho 1, Kante 1, Kovacic 1. I see his contract is till 2022. Can we at least try this summer? Will probably renew with Bayern tho.
  3. Funny how from no left footed attackers for years now we have Kai, Hakim and possibly Haaland next season.
  4. I know but he played him as number 8 and RW. Which are two different positions from what Tuchel think it's his best.
  5. Does he pass @Vesper height test tho? 🤔 👀
  6. So two completely different opinions. Tuchel: Between 9 and 10. Lampard: 8 and RW. 😂
  7. Look, we have different expectations from them. We know what they are capable of and for their role they are doing amazing job. My opinion about Tammys overall game is the same as anyone but this season when he played more than 45 mins he did not contributed to the goals just three times. Spurs, Leicester and Rennes. And only LC was 90 mins game for him. Giroud 1000 mins: 11 goals Abraham 1500 mins: 12 goals. Asking them to do more for backup roles is crazy. I saw stat that for the first time in like 20 years all 3 Chelsea strikers scored more than 10 goals in the season. They are our 2 best goalscorers and scored 23 from 71 goals this season. 32% of all goals.
  8. He did not had that chance even under Lampard I would say. With no pre season and coming to new league he was played out of position. He had good month from late September to late October and this was the only time he was played as AM in 4231. So in his best position. He started to build something. Assist against WBA, goal against Southampton, assist against Krasnodar, penalty won against Palace, hettrick against Barnsley. All this in space of one month. But what happened after that? He catched Covid and Frank changed formation without a obvious reason. After that was not the same. In this period Mount either did not start (Palace, Krasnodar, United) or was played as winger but was not effective. So Frank most likely did not liked that and moved to 433 to accommodate Mount where they both played as number 8. After hettrick against Barnsley and solid game against WBA we had Spurs in Cup and he did not play a second in that game. We played 4231 in that game and it was perfect for him to continue to build something. So Frank really did not gave him trust like he did with some others and this was really weird since Kai is generational talent. After Lamps was sacked we heard that Kai was club signing and not his and this came as no surprise to anyone.
  9. Change of formation is number one reason. Alonso is better LWB and that is it. We didn't suffer defensively because of him at all. He scored against Burnley, made great chance for Werner against Newcastle and played major part in Giroud goal against Atletico. Chilwell was horrible against Wolverhampton and in last couple of months under Lampard not convincing at all. Also this argument you used about future is irrelevant at the moment because we are in desperate situation to make top4. When Tuchel arrived we were 10th. So results are all that matters right now. Alonso in Chilwell's place against Wolves and possibly 2 more points because Ben missed our best chance after Havertz pass. He will not play once we go back to back 4 and game against Sheffield proved it in the second half. You seem annoyed every time you see Alonso, Giroud in the starting lineup. Probably even Jorginho. They are all doing very good. Without Olie we would not even play CL this season because he was outstanding from February to July last year and won us many points. So Werner would not be here 😄 Also you asked what has Alonso done to be back. We can ask the same question. What has he done to be dropped completely? Mistake against WBA? Header in the middle and 4 players could cover that mistake. Silva did much worse mistake in that game. People are so overreacting on his mistakes. Like West Ham last season.
  10. If Maddison is out longer they are done. Without him no creativity at all.
  11. Looking at results and teams that progressed I think this EL is pretty much United vs Spurs. Can't see any other team doing danger. Napoli out, Bayer, Leicester... Milan is shit just like Arsenal. Spurs also lately but Mourinho has good record in competition.
  12. But we all know Alonso is going to start. Find the answer on question I asked in Lamps thread. I can't recall.
  13. If that's the case just play Puli/CHO as LWB.
  14. Azpi is 32 this summer with one year left on contract. You know what we do with older players. Even if we offer him one year extension will he accept it? Because clubs from Italy and Spain would give him longer contracts.
  15. Henderson injured will not play against us. And sad news about Alisson father.
  16. If we are planning to play this formation next season I think Angelino from Leipzig would be great LWB. 8 goals and 11 assists this season in 2778 mins.
  17. Lampard is not here anymore 🤭 And 7th next season. But cannot see him going further because I think next season will be his last. But overall amazing achievement.
  18. 1 Ron Harris 795 2 Peter Bonetti 729 3 John Terry 717 4 Frank Lampard 648 5 John Hollins 592 6 Petr Cech 494 7 Dennis Wise 445 8 Steve Clarke 421 9 Kerry Dixon 420 10 Eddie McCreadie 410 11 John Bumstead 409 12 Cesar Azpilicueta 409 Will go into top10 Chelsea players with most games in the history probably next week.
  19. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-9298571/Pep-Guardiola-says-secret-Manchester-Citys-success-having-lot-MONEY.html The secret to Manchester City's success? 'We have a lot of MONEY', says Pep Guardiola as boss refreshingly admits their £2BILLION spending is the main driver behind 19-game winning streak He was being sarcastic but it is true.
  20. Remember how many of us were excited before the season with our attack: Werner Pulisic Havertz Ziyech Have they ever been all together on the pitch? 😔
  21. Liverpool and PSG are the only teams that can be successful that way because they have world class front 3 players. Salah, Mane and Firmino or Mbappe, Neymar and Cavani/Icardi/Di Maria. They played mostly with 3 CM/DM type of midfielders behind because those guys upfront can score 70/80 goals per season on their own. Just give them the ball. We don't have that. Werner, Giroud, Tammy or even if we get Haaland would be dependable on our midfielders delivering for them. And if they have Mount behind they are pretty much fucked. This is my point. Doesn't matter if he plays number 8, or 10 or is one of the 3 most offensive players. Btw he has reputation of goal scoring midfielder. In Vitesse, Derby etc... So is different to Wijnaldum in that regard. And he has always been most attacking midfield in any setup for any team. Also played 15+ games for Chelsea as a winger and many times for England. You basically admitted there is no place for Mount in this formation? He can't play in double pivot either. Tuchel said Gilmour is number 4 there and we know who are 3 players ahead. Are you saying Mount is a system player and can only play in 433? And even Lampard before being sacked said that he sees our number 8s as two number 10. Nevertheless on formation our attackers are dependable on players behind. I want Chelsea to be successful and this is the point of whole discussion. Without Giroud wonder strike we would not score. Without pens we would not score against Spurs and Southampton. Without defenders we would not score against Burnley... I'm not saying this is all on Mount ofc but trying to figure it out how can we solve our offensive problems that are clear. I've never saw future with Lamps 433 and Kante solo with Mount and Kai or Kova as number 8s. That would take us nowhere. Because it is not best position for Kante and Kai. And there was no balance. Tuchel made formation change which is good step forward considering it is more suitable for this group of players. But now is the time to go with Kai/Hakim in Mount role. We all want Chelsea to be on top and let me pretend for a second that Mount has to play in that team. It would have to be 433. He would need extra creative number 8/10 along side. Basically KDB level and someone like Casemiro behind to cover. Or we can have front 3 like PSG but neither is going to happen. Lamps often spoke about Mount when he is 25 or something. By that time he maybe becomes player many are talking about but I feel we don't have luxury to give him 3500/4000 minutes next season and season after because we want success now. Not sure what are you guys even arguing against me? Because every time it feels like you care more about Mason than Chelsea and only point is that he has to play in the starting 11.
