Can see Gallagher going out on loan at the end of the window if we get De Jong. Presumably, our starting pivot would then be De Jong and Kovacic. Jorginho will be rotated and Kante will be used sparingly. Chukwuemeka will also be used to provide fresh legs and start against bottom half sides. 5 midfielders for 2 spots is fine. 6 is just overkill.

De Jong would be borderline stupid to join United atm.

I would say yes when it becomes blatantly obvious they can cope with the pace of the game. Being proven to cope with the pace of the Premier league assures less risk. I swear we had this same argument two years ago when people were advocating cheaper options in Regulion and Tagliafico over Chilwell. Tuchel so far has been faultless when it comes to the defence so when he wants his players in, you simply have to trust him. Of all those options at least 90% of them aren't good enough.
