I'm sorry, what? Kante and Kovacic missed 31 games combined last season. It was incredibly apparent that when both of them were not in the lineup, we struggled. Ruben is no where near good enough to play in the pivot at a high level and he too has his injury problems. Jorginho also continues to be an utter liability and it's made more apparent with Kante or Kovacic aren't covering for him. It was incredibly evident we needed another quality midfielder this season.
