I think Thuram is most similar to Santos. The latter is being pretty highly entrusted by the recruitment team as being the 3rd midfield option.

Opinion: Early look at how Pochettino could line up vs Wrexham

What are we thinking? Kepa Gusto Fofana Silva Maatsen Santos Hall Sterling Carney Jackson Broja -
Issue is that he makes far more progressive ball carrying runs than any central midfielder. As we've seen, this is good for counter attacking sides but not for sides that predominately see the ball. He's also not part of Nice's core players in the defensive transition, he ambles back whilst preparing for another counter attack. Although his ball winning attributes are pretty good, his defensive positioning isn't consistent, as he is always looking to get further forward. There is the argument if he can be coachable, but there is also the argument if his natural instincts get in the way for it to work, ala Kante. This is a very good analysis on him. Essentially, Thuram would require a lot of coaching (without much guarantee of success) whereas Caicedo would slot in easier.

Same fanbase that thought they were getting a midfield three of Enzo, Bellingham, and Caicdeo.
-
Feel sorry for Ramano given the constant pressure he gets on twitter from spastic fans asking for updates.
-
Thuram is far more adventurous in ball progression from what I've seen. The Kovacic shouts are spot on, and I would even say Thuram takes it up a level. Caicedo probably a more disciplined option for that pivot.

Onana is the only real alternative tbh profile wise. Real would be crazy to sell Tchouameni.
-
Thuram more of a box to box

Gallagher would arguably be Poch's biggest assignment. With Mudryk, Jackson, Broja, and Madueke, the raw talent is there. With Gallagher, he'd have to absolutely fine tune every element of his game. At best Gallagher could be our Park ji Sung.

Flashback to Enzo saying he's staying put after scoring a goal for Benfica.
-
Yeah Kane and Caicedo in a 1 matchweek season we should be taking City all the way.
-
It's probably a horrendous deal structure wise too.
-
Going to be nice watching a match where the players aren't knackered after 60mins.
-
Silva in a back 4 is a handicap now.
-
Koulibaly is gone. Chalobah likely to be sold too. Silva is fucking 40. Fofana is injury prone and by extensive purposes has been hit or miss performance wise. Badiashile can play RCB to accommodate you at LCB if needed. 5 reasons then and there to give Colwill some assurances.
-
This was all Clearlake though. No planning, no direction, nothing. With Stewart, Winstanley, Shields, etc all here we actually have some understanding and infrastructure in place. As far as I'm concerned Poch will speak with him and tell him he's going to be involved. Poch's wet dream is having CBs that have a great passing range.
-
Yeah if there is genuine interest the recruitment team need to determine if he is coachable in that aspect (defensive contribution) or if the trade off is worth it. (his creative metrics vs his poor off the ball work rate). Personally think he'd be a luxury at this point. That Brazilian CAM we are close to signing looks a talent.
-
Wouldn't Colwill technically be Silva's heir? I'd say a DM and a CM are the only priorities imo.
-
We were kind of slowing down in the latter of 2007 season. Mourinho's lack of sustainable attacking impetus was showing and the team needed a resurgence somewhere. Ancelotti coming on in 2007/2008 season would of been mental.
-
Soft as shit. Justice prevails. Well done England. Colwill better have that #26 kit waiting for him when he arrives at Cobham.

Boehly didn't purchase Lukaku for a record fee when all signs pointed it being a disaster. Boehly didn't ignore the midfield for 4 years. Boehly didn't mess up Rudiger and Christensen's contracts. Boehly wasn't in charge of that disaster 2017 transfer window which set us backwards for years. Boehly was the one responsible for giving extensions to dross like Rahman and Bakayoko and Batshuayi? Lots of things to blame Clearlake for but to pretend it was all sunshine and rainbows under Roman is a lie, especially towards the latter end. Lot of the issues we are seeing now are because of the former regime. I'd keep him for the sole fact Chiwell too has been poor. Hall inexperienced but showed the most promise. Let all three battle it out during preseason. Too many passengers.

He'd need to hand in a transfer request then.

This is United's 2nd bid for Onana in 2 weeks and is likely to be rejected again. They also low balled an offer for Hojlund which will also be likely rejected. Can't ignore they spent over a month to try and secure Mount. Their way of business is chaotic. We on the other hand, are actually meeting with Brighton face to face in order to complete this. No random bids every other day. Face to face negotiations to get this done given how much of a ball breaker Bloom is. Hasn't even been a week yet. - Jackson and Nkunku already in. - Santos in All we need is a CM and GK and we are fine.
-
If we buy Vlahovic then the recruitment team isn't as good as I thought they were.

It'll be quite telling if player power + our horrid record against the Top 6 vanish in time.
