  1. Show me a CB that is both better + more experienced than Chalobah, won't cost a fortune, and is content with being 4th choice for the foreseeable future.
  2. For balance you want CB 1 to start 38 matches, CB 2 to start 20 matches, CB 3 to start 10 matches and CB 4 to start 8 matches. Find a CB that will be content with CB 4 minutes. Chalobah is more than content to be CB 4 as well as having his versatility be utilised at fullback and DM.
  3. Especially when people bring up alternatives that aren't nearly experienced or expect issues won't arise next summer with having 4 Top CBs wanting to start.\ The bloke is happy and content with being a squad player.
  4. Sorry? What else does Chalobah need to do exactly to be worthy as a squad option? He performed in the Super Cup. Did extremely well in the EFL Cup final and put in a MOTM performance in the FA Cup Final. He's never injured, can play across the entire back 4 (even at DM if needed), and has always put in a good shift when called upon (excluding the shambolic management of Lampard and Potter).
  5. Only worth keeping if he's either a CAM or the highest advancing midfielder in a 3.
  6. Steinberg's article is under the impression Chalobah leaves to Inter.
  7. Nah think you are writing it off far too early. You’ve provided several examples of Badiashile playing three positions during his time with the Monaco senior team which emphasis his comfort level in playing different sides. He’s a player much like Rudiger where he has a good understanding on how to play on the inverted side. Rather we see how preseason fairs before we even contemplate spending money on another CB.
  8. Should of added at youth level. Pretty good in depth analysis on when Badiashile played RCB when being partnered with Panzo/Serrano.
  9. These players have spent the past 2/3 seasons being poorly trained. No surprise some are dropping after being put through an actual effective training regime.
  10. Badiashile played RCB for a large portion at Monaco with Jonathan Panzo at LCB.
  11. We were already 1 CB too many even before Fofana. We don't need another CB let alone another 19-21 year old CB or a CB that will either cost a fortune or isn't that much of an upgrade on Chalobah. If we bring in a top CB, we will be exposing ourselves to another issue next summer with 4 top CBs demanding playing time.
  12. Why? There are Silva and Chalobah as depth options.
  13. So your solution is to sell Chalobah because he allegedly wants more minutes (even though an opportunity now presented itself for more minutes here) and you want to replace him with a "top CB" but have provided options that have significantly less top flight experience than Chalobah, will cost a fortune, and are not as versatile as Chalobah.
  14. Badisahile has played RCB several times at Monaco. Still not sure what else Chalobah needs to do to earn the trust of the remaining fanbase. He's a valuable squad option that can play across the back 4.
  15. Badiashile's return will ease things. We can likely expect a Badiashile/Colwill partnership with Chalobah and Silva rotating.
  16. Aye I can hear their cries of laughter from the Championship.
  17. Our rehabilitation department shouldn't worry about job security.
  18. Tbh I've had my suspicions on Fofana in a back 4. Seems like a Kounde type, where his driving with the ball only really suitable in a back 3.
  19. He always overextends his knee when he challenges. Every time.
  20. This isn't a player that will need time to adapt or anything. He will slot right in. So long as the pivot before Liverpool is Enzo and Caicedo, we'll be fine.
