They are both pretty poor defensively. Emerson's mobility saves him though, along with his ability to take players on. It's evident Hazard and Ruben prefer playing with him than Alonso.

A system that protected their defensively liabilities. If you want to talk about fair, it would be to compare Luiz/Christensen to Terry/Carvalho in 4 at the back systems.
