We were fortunate Spurs were gash but tactically, everything was spot on.
Still horrid in the final third with our decision making, but can't fault the effort the team put in and the defensive structure Lampard set up.
Finally a big win.
A change of scenery would do him good. Despite his success, always felt he would’ve benefit more if he had moved to Barca instead of Real.
With no indication of how long Ruben will be out and the fact Barkley is useless, this move makes sense.
Depending on if the player himself wants to leave. Probably not convinced with Atletico given they have sold virtually all their best players in the past 1-2 years.
Kante's best attributes are when we don't have the ball. We are now implementing a system where we see more of it and are far more progressive in our play.
I'm not sure if Saul is the answer, but if we are to replace Kante it has to be a huge one.
Dave is useful when you give him rest. He had a two-week break before that City match.
Both James and Dave should be rotated, with the former obviously getting more game time.
I genuinely think we have a chance. We will win the midfield battle for sure, just hope our attack finds their feet and our defence carry’s on from Lille and Bournemouth.
