  1. That table is a better representation of who hoofs it out from the back vs those that try to play it out.
  2. Was there not any hope last season when he came third in clean sheets?
  3. Saul is the one player I'd replace Kante with
  4. Kovacic/Jorginho/Kante/Mount/Ruben/Barkley/Gilmour This Coutinho rumor is 100% his agent.
  5. So when exactly is the government going to push for the increase in testing? Lots of talk but no exact date. There are actually people that have been laid off but can't claim unemployment until August/September because they filed their taxes by mail vs electronically. Unbelievable.
  6. Correct me if i'm wrong, but does that even matter? I thought the entire Chelsea staff were still getting paid as well? The club is financially strong enough to provide for causes that fight against Covid-19 yet still being able to pay everyone in the club in full. Why should they ask their players to take a wage deduction when the club can already afford it? The club and the players probably see it as a better use of resources for the players to donate to causes/charities of their choice vs the club taking it out and distributing it to who they want. It's the player's money after all.
  7. I'm more worried about our midfield. Barkley I don't have a real issue with, (given that he looks to be a better player the deeper he plays) but Drinkwater and Bakayoko we will have real issues in selling. I think there are suitors for Batshuayi, hence the high asking price. No way the club nor Lampard want him sticking around anymore. He made it well known this season just the type of level he is at.
  8. We really should be taking this whole 'I'm not moving to be a back up" reports with a grain a salt. Literally a year ago it was reported Werner didn't want to be back up at Liverpool, now all of a sudden they are allegedly his preferred destination. Having two strikers, of which neither of them are clear upgrades, could be healthy competition for the club. Not to mention opportunities in having both played at the same time.
  9. He's more Xavi than anyone really. Dictates tempo and transition.
  10. I refuse to believe Lampard and the club are contempt with our current CB’s. No bloody way. A top CB is desperately needed
  11. And I will tell you again, the Premier league has rejected any notion from UEFA regarding the league ending as it is. It will be pushed back as far as it needs to be for it to finish, which is looking like September now from recent reports. That said, Ziyech and every new signing from the Dutch league will be in limbo for months.
  12. So let me get this straight, with the Dutch league ending he’s free to join us in July, but won’t be eligible to play until the new season starts? Which is looking to be late this year or early next year? What a crock of shit. Best case scenario he isn’t playing competitive football for nearly 10 months! Surely this is grounds for legal action? A year of his playing career is being thrown away.
  13. I think the title should be, Jadon Sancho could be key to unlocking CHO. Sancho at a rival club could motivate CHO ten fold
  14. Just when you thought he couldn’t say anything more stupid.
  15. Think the 4231 is Lampard’s preferred lineup. Can see Ziyech at CAM with CHO on the right.
  16. 60 million for Chilwell. Bloody hell. We’ll see him get cut in over and over again and the club will scratch their heads wondering why the fuck they got him. I pray this is still speculation.
  17. Newcastle won’t be ‘dangerous’ until 4 or 5 years time. And this is giving them the benefit of the doubt (quality manager, scouting network, director of football) The way the market is, it’s going to take them a while to create a quality side. It took City 4 years to win something. The best we can do is to keep hold of the vision we started with Sarri. Progressive football. Hopefully with Cech, our transfer policy is a bit more consistent and the players identified match the philosophy at the club. Mix this together with having the best youth academy in the country, we have nothing to worry about long term.
  18. The move makes sense if Barkley is being shipped out. Which he isn’t unless it’s a loan or a club is stupid enough to match his wages.
  19. So what players exactly have we missed out on that Marina is held responsible? Arsenal had a deal struck with Leno before the World Cup even started, whereas we just finished winning the FA cup. You are being pretty critical to suggest the board are fools for not anticipating Courtois to go AWOL when they were doing everything they could to have him extend. Clubs knew we were desperate, hence them having all the bargaining power. Were you this critical of Kepa last season when he came third in clean sheets? Conte in 2017 - “For me, the midfielders are very important because I need midfielders with specific characteristics. Danny has those.” Conte also stated how he wanted to directly replace Matic with Bakayoko by easily transitioning him. This took a 2 minute google search.
  20. Ah yes, blame Marina. A lady who has virtually no say on who we target based on her job description, yet it’s apparently the cool thing to think she does. Allison wanted Liverpool. Leno joined Arsenal before Courtois pulled his stunt. Other than that, virtually none of those keepers are better than Kepa or are the long term. Out of his own mouth, Conte said they were his targets. Danny fucking Drinkwater
  21. Lampard isn’t bloody stupid. 80 million makes Chilwell look bang average. He even looks more average when you realise a superior player is available for less than half of that amount. Journals love linking us to English/domestic players but how many of them actually came to fruition?
  22. Kepa we were forced and had no other alternatives and Drinkayoko were Conte’s targets. If Telles is available for 25 million and Chilwell 80 million, you genuinely think Lampard and the board will push for the latter? Even after Lampard made it evidentially clear we need to strengthen in attack desperately?
  23. From what I’ve see so far I’m fairly certain our board won’t pay that ridiculous amount for Ben Bloody Chilwell.
  24. If he’s happy and contempt to stay whilst being downgraded to a tactical player then by all means keep him. Moving forward, he should only be on the team sheet if the opposition has a better attack+Midfield than us. And used correctly
