  1. This seems to be the constant discussion. No one knows for a fact who picks or signs players, so either view doesn't hold much weight. I find it amusing how Scott McLachlan gets off the hook.
  2. Building a squad for footballing reasons. She doesn’t do that. She is the chief executive of financial operations. No where in her job description does it say she identifies targets and sets the blue print of the club moving forward. Something an actual director of football does.
  3. Good on him. More players should follow suit.
  4. That would be true if that was actually her job....
  5. Both are a pipe dream in today's market. I'd much rather rely on youth and getting absolute steals in transfers like Ziyech moving forward. Much more stable and long term.
  6. We are bloody lucky we got Ziyech when we did. I'd still go after Boga and rid of Willian. Strikers I believe we can cope for now, if Batshuayi is out of the frame that is. LB and a CB still needs to get sorted desperately.
  7. So another season with Tammy+Giroud as our options. Not sure how I feel about that.
  8. I think Willian + Dave on our right side probably explains why our right side has been so un-lethal in the final third this past half a decade.
  9. We are getting Ruben, Pulisic, and CHO back though
  10. This woman reported the incident right away vs waiting prolonged periods of time. This will help her case given the evidence is still fresh. Innocent until proven guilty. However if true, contract needs to be voided
  11. Pjanic is more mobile on the ball and a better passing range. Not to mention he’s very precise with his passing and doesn’t ‘force’ the pass to the extent Jorginho does. Something I witnessed Jorginho do a lot this season, and in most cases it led to an opposition counter. City’s 1st goal against us when we were in control springs to mind. In fact, I would say he more resembles Gilmour than Jorginho. No idea who’s better defensively, but at this point it can’t be any worse than what we have currently. In my opinion it would be easier for Gilmour to transition in the squad with Pjanic than Jorginho.
  12. Tempting given Gilmour’s emergence. Pjanic for a couple seasons whilst Gilmour transitions into the starting XI
  13. For 30 - 40 million sure. For 80? Nah. Especially when we have ST, RW and CB to sort out. I for one have stated he is only slightly better than Emerson in my book. I’ve seen him out of position and cut in more times than I can count.
  14. We would’ve had a hell of a back line had he got his targets. Fifa esq. Dave—Bonucci—VVD Candreva Sandro
  15. Fairly certain Dani Alves was the player that one Spanish bloke reported was on PEDs. Said something along the lines of this player played for Barca or PSG or along those lines. Wonder what ever happened to that story:
  16. Is he? His end product was great for us this season. His issue is building up muscle to prevent these reoccurring muscular imbalance injuries. Something our physios hopefully have picked up on.
  17. Exactly. Voiding the season is a thrown out concept given the legal/financial ramifications. If the season must end, points per game is the fairest of a list of unfair options.
  18. If we get Mertens just ship him off
  19. Voiding the season will cause massive legal ramifications. PPG is the fairest option out of a list of imperfect options that only affects a small number of clubs. And again, we are 80% through the season. Clubs are where they are because of them. No one else.
  20. I genuinely wanted him to be our Lampard replacement at the time.
  21. It would make more sense to get Aubameyang
  22. I genuinely can’t take you seriously if you think a PPG determinate has more legal ramifications than a null and void season.
