Pjanic is more mobile on the ball and a better passing range. Not to mention he’s very precise with his passing and doesn’t ‘force’ the pass to the extent Jorginho does. Something I witnessed Jorginho do a lot this season, and in most cases it led to an opposition counter. City’s 1st goal against us when we were in control springs to mind.
In fact, I would say he more resembles Gilmour than Jorginho.
No idea who’s better defensively, but at this point it can’t be any worse than what we have currently. In my opinion it would be easier for Gilmour to transition in the squad with Pjanic than Jorginho.
For 30 - 40 million sure. For 80? Nah. Especially when we have ST, RW and CB to sort out.
I for one have stated he is only slightly better than Emerson in my book. I’ve seen him out of position and cut in more times than I can count.
Fairly certain Dani Alves was the player that one Spanish bloke reported was on PEDs. Said something along the lines of this player played for Barca or PSG or along those lines.
Wonder what ever happened to that story:
Is he? His end product was great for us this season. His issue is building up muscle to prevent these reoccurring muscular imbalance injuries. Something our physios hopefully have picked up on.
Exactly. Voiding the season is a thrown out concept given the legal/financial ramifications.
If the season must end, points per game is the fairest of a list of unfair options.
Voiding the season will cause massive legal ramifications. PPG is the fairest option out of a list of imperfect options that only affects a small number of clubs. And again, we are 80% through the season. Clubs are where they are because of them. No one else.
I can’t see anything other than a PPG verdict ( if the season has to end) being the fairest determinant.
We are 80% through the season and clubs are where they are for a reason.
Businesses are failing and more and more people are losing their jobs. Some of which can’t claim unemployment until August/September given they file their taxes in the mail vs electronically.
Really is a tricky situation.
Ballack should of been sent off the 1st leg
Penalty on Henry the 1st leg
Ballack hitting Iniesta 1st leg
Drogba hitting Pique 2nd leg
Abigail wrongfully went off
Just had a 45 minute argument with some daft Barca fan that thinks they were just as much unfairly done as we were in our 2009 clash.
Im mentally exhausted.
Think we’ve learned by now our board works well under the radar recently.
Kovacic, Kepa, Jorginho, Pulisic, Ziyech,
All these signings happened under the media’s noses. We really can’t expect anything to happen until it happens.
Again, if Kante is contempt with having a more tactical role, then by all means keep him.
He should only start against teams that have both a better midfield and attack than us.
