Are you implying picking Chilwell over Telles and Tagliafico is being more ambitious?

We will never be comfortably defensively until we upgrade our back line. That is with or without Kante in the side. Liverpool play with no real defensive minded midfielder? In terms of balance, I think it's pretty pretty evident that a midfield of Mount/Jorginho/Kovacic provided us everything we needed in midfield, particularly on a technical aspect. We have a holder, an attacker, and an aggressive dribbler. Kante only really comes into play when we are against sides that either have a better midfield than us or against sides that have a better attack. Other than that he has no real use in the starting XI.

Emerson, Pedro, Willian, Barkley, Batshuayi, and one of Christensen/Zouma need to be sold.

There are more chances of us spanking Bayern 0-4 at the Allianz than Spurs finishing above us. United is our only worry. However, we've been ahead of them since October and I put money on our side winning our remaining fixtures given how fresh our players will be. We saw it at the start of the season. Not to mention City's CL ban looks to be still on course to be held.

Realistic? Spurs have been consistently poor all season. They are 7 points behind, conceding more than a goal a game and have 4 tough fixtures waiting for them. To think they will leap frog us for Top 4 isn't being 'realistic', it's being irrationally pessimistic. Elaborate. Because from what I saw this season, our best football and most consistent period came when Kante was not even on the bench.

Spurs are 7 points behind and have United, Sheffield, Everton, Arsenal, and Leicester still to play. Not to mention they are conceding more than a goal a game. Their chances are 0. What a pessimistic bunch you lot are.

And we've performed better without him this season.

Their back line is Europa league standard. Wan-Bissaka only one noteworthy however he is appalling in the final third. Unless Leicester drop their asking price by about 50% no way will the board go for him and rightly so.

Yeah I've watched him several times for the national team. Good engine on him.

Again, maybe we have someone else in mind. Simon Philips hinted a big attacker signing on his podcast.

Their CB's and LB are still average.

I take it back, it wasn't his defensive attributes that bothered me, it was his overall ability on the ball. Particularly at full back.

Werner wants Liverpool and Lautaro wants Barca? Who else is out there is available and is a massive upgrade on what we have? Least we can do is improve the squad with end product. Ziyech was the best chance creator in Europe last season and Havertz continues to bang them in. Pulisic was also very productive for us before his injuries.

He will always be remembered for his goals vs his defensive contributions. Always found him to be bloody average defensively.

He is a clinical scorer. The seasons where he wasn't he either suffered prolonged injuries or was in and out of the side given the competition. (Crespo, Schevchenko, Kezman, Ediur, Torres, etc) Also had to deal with the merry go round of managers

Could you imagine losing out on Top 4 because the likes of Kante, Tomori, Dave, or simply put a select few players refused to participate? Again, how is this fairer than PPG? Least in PPG it gave us the most realistic finish to the season with club's past performances.
