  1. A team of Werner, Giroud, Havertz, Pulisic, Kante, Mount, CHO, etc, etc, etc can't beat Villa at home and look convincing while doing so.
  2. Why should that matter? We shouldn't be solely relying on him. I sound like a broken record here.
  3. PSG was always the wrong club for Tuchel. He needs a club with young players where he can implement his ideas and grow them. Not a bunch of primma donnas with massive egos and where the vast majority of control lies with an infamous technical director. Nagelsmann I rate. I also rate Hassenhuttl. I think the technical ability he's instilled into his team, along with their positional sense (there is always a player open in space) is quality. They would have to be my preferred 3.
  4. That is exactly what Tuchel is capable of. I can say with utmost confidence that if Poch didn't see eye to eye with Levy, he will go to war with Leonardo at PSG. He will virtually have no say in any transfers and is expected to be a Yes man simply put. It's amazing how this is seen as a negative on Tuchel when virtually any manager will experience the same thing.
  5. This argument wouldn't of collapsed in the manner it did if you didn't criticise Tuchel for not winning anything then avertedly wanting a manager who also won nothing.
  6. And accompanied with those performances were unforgivable shitehouse tactics against Juventus in 2018 and getting knocked out and completely outplayed by Leipzig last season. We were out with pitchforks when Conte did the same against City and when we got outplayed Roma. We need to continue the work we put in making this club sustainable. One of the German blokes in Nagelsmann or Tuchel for me.
  7. Winning this game isn't enough. It's to win it convincingly. Not another West Ham Performance.
  8. Do a quick google search. VVD chose Liverpool over us. As if we couldn’t outspend them.
  9. He's genuinely known as a manager who adapts his tactics. He even tweaks his tactics mid game based on their objective. This is a argument I accept, but worse than Conte? Conte threw a fit because the club wouldn't give in to spending millions in transfer fees and wages to players aged 30+ and the fact VVD chose Liverpool and Spurs would never sell Walker to us. His whole recruitment policy is also very questionable when he was one responsible for the Zappacosta, Drinkwater, Bakayoko, and Morata signings that have held this club back for years. Now he's doing virtually the same thing at Inter. Tuchel couldn't establish a relationship with Leonardo. The latter had more control over identifying & choosing players which is always a recipe for disaster. Especially if both their visions are different. Leonardo himself is also heavily criticised on how he manages PSG's transfers given the sheer imbalance of the squad. Intensely rumored that the dressing room backed Tuchel over Leonardo.
  10. I've yet to hear a single reasonable argument on why we should stay away from Tuchel, other than his feuds over technical directors given they never saw eye to eye on transfers. On a football perspective, I can't think of any better alternative.
  11. My point is he’s more of a ball transitioner vs a box to box. Wrong choice of using numbers.
  12. Tuchel for me. Can’t think of a better manager that would be able to get the best out of this group. Already has a connection with Pulisic and could potentially get Havertz and Werner firing again.
  13. I’m surprised there are those who aren’t Lampard out yet after yesterday’s performance. No way this can be turned around.
  14. You’ve posted this a few times so I’d like to ask you this... Is a manager that dependent on one player, a good manager? Especially when he’s at a club filled with talent and just recently spent 200 million?
  15. Ah yes, let’s sacrifice the 3 years of work and all the millions we put into to become sustainable only to revert back to conservative football.
  16. Who currently available is better and could get the most out of our players? That excludes Allegri. Your only criticism of Tuchel is very nit picky.
  17. There could be a whole list of reasons why. At the end of the day, Icardi wasn’t his player. And god forbid they lose 1-0 against the most efficient Bayern team in nearly 20 years.
  18. Virtually everything suggests the dressing room backed Tuchel. Matter of fact, it's highly reported there is discontent from PSG fans given the imbalance of their side that Leonardo has put together. The very reason why most sided with Tuchel yet the club backed Leonardo.
  19. Jorginho had that role. Not Mount. And that role isn't soely defined by a #. A #6 leads transitions. That's what he does and that's the basic definition of a #6. To get the ball from offence to attack, and he's actually very good at that.
  20. Simple. Lampard - " The players are out there and they know what to do. They should be doing better from what's expected of them and we didn't see it". He bypasses his own failures by blaming the players.
  21. Not only that, it's highly rumored that the club backed Leonardo but the dressing room backed Tuchel. No idea where he's getting the Neymar/Mbappe didn't want him.
  22. What's Gilmour's sample size? Two games? I've always been adamant that Mount would develop best as a CM, not CAM.
  23. So not getting the respect of primma donnas in Mbappe and Neymar makes him a horrible choice? I think that is a poor argument. We don't have any players that put ego over the club. Klopp himself wasn't world class in any sense yet every one of his players improved under him. Getting Allegri would virtually take all the work we did to move towards progressive football, down the drain. Other than the disagreement with Dortmund's CEO on how they handled UEFA's demands, seems his biggest gripe is not having control over transfers. Never saw eye to eye with either technical director. Personally, I think the squad is ready for him. But that said, if Lampard/Cech had full control, I don't see how he wouldn't? How much control he wants over transfers would definitely need to be addressed during the negotiations.
