A durable LB that can defend well. (Sell Cucurella) An experienced RCB that is fast, can read the game well and is an aerial specialist. (Sell Chalobah + Silva leaving) A fox in the box striker. (Jackson bench option or LW) An experienced CM/DM that wouldn't mind being given the 'Mikel' role. (Loan out Lesly) Honestly think these are the only 4 pressing matters at the moment. Bring those 4 in and solve our injury issues, we look way better.

Palmer is specifically RF for me. Against bottom half clubs we can afford to put him (or Nkunku ) as a second striker and Madueke at RW. 433/424 alterations. Also works well when Kendry comes into the frame.
-
Yeah GK is not a pressing matter right now. Petro still looks shaky after the team is strengthened and are playing properly, then we can talk.
-
Wouldn't even say Palmer was playing at CAM. Looked like a ST or second striker. We can get away with playing a 4-2-4 against lower opposition but I've seen Palmer enough to say this was an anomaly. He usually struggles when playing centrally as opposed to RW.

Linked with Atalanta midfielder Teun Koopmeiners. Would be a very smart signing for a change. Looks like a complete midfielder. Assuming this would be Gallagher's replacement if the link is true.

Watch not one academy player bar Gilchrist make an appearance.

75m in agent fees this past couple years jesus christ what are these clowns doing.

General consensus was Europa League at the minimum.
-
Too right you are.

Hall, Maatsen, Broja, Chalobah, Gallagher, Silva, Cucurella, Lukaku, Ziyech, Kepa

No mate. The players just aren't good enough to control the midfield against the worst team in Premier League history since Derby 08.
-
Same was said about Lampard. He was given Silva , Chilwell and Mendy, defence was still chaotic because the whole team was disorganized. Like we are seeing now.
-
He is. Caicedo had the best possession retention metrics in the league only behind Rodri last season.
-
With Sarri you could at least say we'd be controlling matches far better. Not this ridiculous 100mph back and forth football we are seeing which leaves so many gaps in our midfield.
-
Pedro Gonçalves is having another good season at Sporting.
-
Jackson looks more like a winger to me than a ST.
-
Good news for City too as the 115 charges will be a slap on the wrist.
-
All about intensity here. How we start and more importantly, how we approach the second half.
-
De Zerbi yes. Not so sure about Amorim as he likes playing with attacking mids v wingers.
-
I'd like to wait and see how the 'unaccounted payments' investigation pans out. Marina and Buck both had heavy ties to them I believe. Potentially Clearlake may have been "asked" to have them step down during the sale. I know they wanted to keep Cech.

The underlying metrics says Poch is shit at game management and being proactive when we are 18th in the league table based on 2nd half performances. I suppose Bournemouth have a better players than us now. Yes that is exactly what happened. Poch went more attacking in extra time. Forget playing on the counter by taking off our only ST and playing long ball to an isolated Nkunku, with Mudryk and Madueke acting as ancillary wingbacks and Enzo and Caicedo playing deeper and deeper for what ever reason. Fucking hell.

Go on and find me better bench players at other clubs that have more goal involvements per 90 than Mudryk and Madueke if its such a useless stat then? You bang on like a constant drum about how poor our players allegedly are and I am showing you the underlying metrics which proves they aren't as shit as you are making them out to be. The injuries excuse has little to no baring when the issue at hand is his game management. How do we improve our midfield and make it more creative? It's the managers job to be extracting performance in all areas and if you are 9 months in and it still isn't working, you then need to start looking at your training methods/man management and tactical decisions. We have a manager who in this day in age would take prime Riqulme and bench him because he isn't a running merchant.

Newcastle and Brighton have had more injuries whilst being in Europe and they are still ahead of us in the table. The latter has been stripped head to toe. Not buying the poor options argument. Exclude penalties, Jackson is the 8th highest goal scorer in the league. Palmer is going to end the season with 40 goal contributions. Sterling, despite being selfish, has a goal contribution every other game in the Premier League. Mudryk and Madueke have among the best contributions per 90 out of any bench options in the league. Enzo has among the best long ball pass accuracy and most progressive passes in the league, and Caicedo despite people claiming is shit, has better defensive metrics than Rice this season. I just don't buy it. These are talented players let down by poor game management. Go take a trip down memory lane in 2020 and see threads about Rudiger, Christensen, and Kante.

Both things can be true. We don't have a Top 4 side but we certainly don't have an 11th place side.
-
Which just shows how detrimental having a poor manager can be when even experienced players look like shit. Kinda like how even Silva, James, Chilwell, and Sterling have been among our worst performers.
