They know in order to do that, a new stadium is a must. They were given financial outlines and portfolios before submitting a bid. Personally think its between Boehly Wyss/Saudi Media Group. The latter want us to dominate football and the former, although American, Boehly does have the understanding of how to build a successful team.

Always felt our communication and relationship with Monaco, particularly with Tchou, had us as clear favorites.

Barca are probably offering some insane signing bonus though. And I think the long term plan is to have Christensen alternate between RCB and CB, to then inevitably take over Thiago Silva at CB. He's arguably at his best as the sweeper. Again, other than Marquinhos, I can't see any CB at the moment who would slot right in. And this isn't considering if our new owners will likely spend massive amounts this summer. Our safest bet is to keep Christensen.

Not according to Matt Law. In the London is Blue podcast back in September, he stated Christensen was ready to sign until his agent intervened.

Because his agent got in his ear. It's never to late to offer what he wants. Far as I'm concerned, there is no CB out there bar Marquinhos who I would trust to come and slot right in. If Christensen or Rudiger, or both leave next summer we are going to be weaker.
