Joao Cancelo, what a great fullback, playing on wrong side (at LB) and still dominating Set up the only goal so far with a SUPERB cross enrages me TBH makes Azpi (Azpi is only truly great as a CB in back 3, he is simply too limited offensively to be a great RB in an expansive team) and Alonso (grrrrrr) look like shit every-time I see him play, superb offensively and his defence is getting close to Azpi level when he has to (he has had multiple rock-ribbed tackles in this game) another HUGE fuckup by the board, as there was multiple seasons (4 now) we could have gotten him for a really good price same for Alex Telles at LB those two should have been our starting fullbacks for last 2 or 3 years they are just wonderfully progressive players and more than decent on defence they would rip the EPL up, same as Shitty (and now Victimpool) are doing with their FB's SMDH

Exclusive: Alex Sandro renews with Juventus https://www.calciomercato.com/en/news/exclusive-alex-sandro-renews-with-juventus-transfer-blow-for-man-89929 After months of negotiating back and forth, Calciomercato.com's Fabrizio Romano reports that an agreement has been struck between Alex Sandro and Juventus, with the former set to sign a new contract very soon. The negotiations between sporting director Paratici and the Brazilian's entourage had been going on for a long time, but an agreement has finally been struck: Sandro will remain at Juventus until June 2023. Until a few days ago, it wasn't clear how much optimism there were from both parties, though the situation has seemingly completely unlocked. The Bianconeri decided to lock down the defender after realising that Marcelo is not a realistic target, having approached Real Madrid several times. The announcement regarding the renewal will be released soon, and it seems that the likes of Man Utd and PSG have been handed a major blow. snip IF TRUE, he is permanently off the table for us (and all other teams) This leaves Lucas Hernández (CB as welland 2nd best LB in world , after Alaba IMHO, BUT a pipe dream, UNLESS they sign Gaya) Junior Firpo Jose Gaya (100m release clause though, AM wants him too) Alex Telles and maybe Wendell (Bayer Leverkusen) or Ferland Mendy (Barca wants him) or Alejandro Grimaldo (not entirely sold on him yet) as only legit (atm) even remotely available LB upgrades to La Tortuga Alonso

Wow, I thought Shitty or Barca would grab him. Shitty will make a huge move for Rabiot or maybe even Verratti I would think then, and also Neves and I still think maybe de Ligt (surely Barca and Real are in for him too). De Jong is crazy to go to PSG. We dodge a huge bullet if Shitty miss out. De Jong is probably the most versatile young potential superstar on planet. He can play CB, fullback, anywhere in MF and even winger in a pinch.
-
I am far more bullish on Shitty than you. You say they are shit in Europe and that they feed off of a weak EPL, BUT Pep has only had on real bite at the apple in the CL and that was last year. Victimpool knocked them out AND went on to go all the way to the final, AND are from what you claim is a 'weak' EPL. I disagree that the EPL is weak, it is the toughest league in the world ATM. Barca and Real for decades simply get to coast domestically (with AM recently giving them a run) so dont have to burn out squads in the league games. Same for Bayern, and even more so for PSG. Juve to a point too, but Serie A is the second toughest league in the world (strictly my opinion and you could ague against that based off of Juve utter dominance). Shitty is not just good due to depth. They have SUPERB players (whether you like them or not) Ederson (I only rate Oblak as better, and maybe I will change mind) Laporte (with Varane in a hge slump amd Umtiti injured, he is absolutely in top 5 current CB's in the world) Mendy (when healthy top 5 LB, easily) Walker (top 5 in wolrd RB) Fernandinho (if he was 4,5 years young would be in top 5 DMF in world, thsi (no great depth, as they have NO other true DMF on the team, which they really need to address with either buying Nevers of de Jong) is their potential Achilles heel, if he goes down injured) AMF DeBruyne, best in the world (when healthy) plus crazy depth including David Silva LW Sane (top 5 in world) RW/LW Sterling top 5 in world RW/AMF Bernardo Silva also top 5 in world plus Mahrez CF TWO of the top 7 or 8 in world in the cunt Aguero and then Jesus They are LOADED, I fancy them to win the CL this year (main comp will be Barca and Juve, maybe PSG) Bayern and Real are totally struggling, but still dangerous. so, en toto, we completely disagree I also, a few months ago went into who their targets would be (or should be) in the transfer market (as long as they and PSG are not banned) to take them to a clear number one in the world the main 4 would be CB de Ligt or Dayot Upamecano or Pavard (can play RB as well) DH DMF Neves LB Junior Firpo or Lucas Hernández (can play CB as well CMF Frenkie de Jong (can play anyhwere in MF and also CB as well) I also think they someday make a move for Mbappe (within 3 or 4 years) add those (even without Mbappe) they are clear number one team in world, with the clear number one manager in charge put Mbappe in as the CF, you are talking all-time top 5 club team in football history I absolutely believe that they would have top 5 in world at every position and multiple bests in world (Ederson by then, De Bruyne, Mbappe (best overall player on planet, certainly by then), Sane (as Neymar and Eden age out) and if they get him de Ligt (I rate de Ligt as best CB in world within 3, 4 years)

I would love to see that lineup (except switch Giroud in for Morata)
-
Then it is welcome to Sorryball.
-
I predict Kepa Rudiger Luiz (gag) Azpi Alonso (gag) Jorginho Kante Kovacic Willian (gag) Hazard Morata (gag)
-
There are reasons why I seriously rate players Pavard for one (and can play RB as well)
-
Flash never impresses me, raw, pure athleticism, pace, and immense competitiveness do. Kante for instance, which is why it drives me crazy he is played out of position. I think Kante should have won the Ballon d'Or in 2017. I hate Neymar types. Willian with his pathetic leg whip-overs make me want to punch the telly screen. For the most part I just don't like many Brasilian players for this reason. Jorginho I like a lot, as he is all about business mostly. Same for Alex Sandro. In my lifetime, my all-time favourite WC game was Brasil 1 Germany 7, in 2014.
-
Luiz, Alonso and Willian (plus Conte blowing out Costa and then the idiotic Morata buy) will be the anchors that drown Sarri. Plus his stubborness. They simply are SHIT. If we dont do massive upgrades (we wont) this January, we are not going to finish in top 4, Eden will leave (I think he does no matter what, and probably CHO too) the bans will hit, and the club is FUCKED for multiple years. That is truly what I see ahead. I hope I am wrong, but I doubt it. We are one of the worst run top 15 clubs in the world. AC Milan would be my other pick.
-
It all went pear shaped (my wife and I went crazy when this went down) a couple years ago when Juve FUCKED us on Alex Sandro, starting at around 40m and after 5, 6 rising bids, turning down 72 million fucking quid and telling us he was 80m then the next day flat out (with window closing) he was not going to sold. That and fucking Roma with Nainggolan starting in 2015 and rolling through 2 more windows (along with a bunch of other Serie A assfucks) destroyed the progression of our team. Romagnoli was another. Add Sandro, Nainggolan, Romagnoli and Sergi Roberto (he was in the mix with us for ages) to that 2016-17 Conte team (2 of them might have been on it already), and keep Costa we might have won the CL

I would 1000 times rather have a 25, 27yo Ricardo Carvalho instead of Luiz. Carvalho would be a perfect Sarriball CB. WE need to find THAT type of player. I am biased, I admit, Ricardo is in my top 10 Chelsea all time favourite players. I adored him. Pure class, so elegant a CB. Good times. There have been very few Chels players I have detested. I even liked Anelka and Florent Malouda, who are hated on this board from what I see. Luiz is deffo a detest, especially this second time around. I just do not like the bloke, and I cannot stand his mental lapses. That said he is only number 4 of the players who HAVE to go in my book. Morata is ONE Willian is TWO Alonso is THREE Luiz is FOUR after those 4, I am open to trying anything Drinkwater is FIVE (but really was just a 70m quid waste, it is not like he even plays. TBH, I think he isnt even that bad, he just is no where near Chels level and is the epitome of the Marina as boss bitch era FUCKED UP buys (along with Morata and Donkeyoko and Luiz, with my caveat that Michael Emenalo was a main actor in bringing Luiz back) Luiz is not a bright player, I dont do stupid well
-
AC's mistakes PALE in comparison to the vast bulk of Luiz's career. He is SHIT always was, is now, always will be. I HATE he is on our team, I went MENTAL when we bought him back. We won DESPITE him with Conte. Luiz is, after Torres, my least favourite Chels player ever. Morata is quickly becoming my third. Willian is in the top 10 mix too, but he is a more recent add, just the last 2 seasons (now perm though).
-
And Luiz and maybe even Morata! the Four FAILS!!!!!
-
Alonso! And, they BOTH ARE SHIT!!!!!!
-
Unless we are selling Azpi or going to a 3 CB set-up with Azpi as RCB and Hysaj as RWB this makes no sense, Hysaj will cost at least £40m so we bringing him in to be a 40m back-up? We also have Zappa and next year probably Reece James (if not next year surely James goes big boy team in 2020-21), RB overload. I cannot see Sarri moving Azpi to a full-time CB paired with Rudiger alone in a back 4. Sarri has a hard-on for Luiz due to passing. Azpi isnt as good at CB passing (in Sarri's mind at least).

There is ZERO chance, less than ZERO that Real will give us Asensio, Kovacic AND 100m for Hazard. That is just insane. I cant see them even giving up both Kovacic and Asension with NO money kicked in. They rate Asensio at over 100m quid quid alone, and Kovavcic at least at £50m or 60m, which he IS worth IF he is played in his natural position, a pure CMF (which is where the Yids will play him, they want him BAD (their fans are MORONS to slate him), not this Sarri cocked up and forced AMF role for him shite Real paid less than half what Big Nose was truly worth in similar circumstances. Hazard is worth (due to age) around £185-200m MAX next summer and that is if he had 3,4 years left on contract (which he doesnt). I cannot see Real paying more than 100m to £125m MAX in value for Hazard next summer. Not when they can get him on a free in 10 months. That level (let say they actually do value Eden at the full 125m) of valuation means if they toss Kovacic in the most cash we would see is 65m to 75m max, maybe maybe 85m if we really crank on them If its Asensio the max cash they would possibly toss in would be around £25m, MAYBE 35m to grease the skids. No way they go 2 for 1. If we did get both (and no cash) that would be great business, due to the board operating under the '1-year-left' cosh (their own fault btw!!!!)

Morgan Gibbs-White showed just why Sarri must have faith in Callum Hudson-Odoi at Chelsea The 18-year-old was superb for Wolves in their 2-1 win over the Blues https://www.football.london/chelsea-fc/players/gibbs-white-hudson-odoi-sarri-15515566 After a defeat like Wolves, many Chelsea fans might just jump on the bandwagon of calling for the youth to all play and let the more senior players rot on the bench. Doing that isn’t the way, but what Morgan Gibbs-White showed is that a youngster without fear and having the confidence of his manager can be a dangerous thing. "He brought energy. He brought focus," Espirito Santo said after the game. "He has a lot of things to improve on but together we are going to try and build something. "I think this is one of the best generation of [English) players for a long time. If you think about Phil Foden, he is a world champion [U17s], it's not an example, it's reality. It's amazing what the national team are producing, well done to them." The 18-year-old was superb for the home side last night, being the major threat, breaking through tackles and being lightening quick on the counter attack. He also made a massive contribution to the opening goal as he breezed past Cesc Fabregas and then slotted a perfect pass for Raul Jimenez to run on to and fire into the back of the net. snip

Ex-referee gives his view on Alvaro Morata's penalty claim - the Chelsea star won't like it The Blues had a big shout for a spot-kick early in the second half at Molineux https://www.football.london/chelsea-fc/players/morata-penalty-chelsea-wolves-sarri-15516146 Chelsea didn't deserve much out of the 2-1m defeat to Wolverhampton Wanderers on Wednesday night but it could have been a completely different story early in the second half. The Blues were 1-0 up when Ruben Loftus-Cheek played a neat combination with Eden Hazard and then got himself down the left by-line. He fired in a cross along the floor to Alvaro Morata, but the Spaniard couldn't hit the target while under pressure from Wolves defender Willy Boly. The striker was adamant it was a penalty, while he also ended up in a heap in the goal mouth, but referee Jonathan Moss waved away the claims, proving to be a pivotal moment in the game. Wolves went on to come back to win with goals from Raul Jimenez and Diego Jota, however former Premier League referee Dermot Gallagher believes Moss gave the right decision. "I think he [Boly] gets in front of him and gets the ball and Morata's momentum takes him over. For me it's 100 per cent not a penalty," Gallagher said on Sky Sports. snip

Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri is tactically stubborn and lacks a Plan B https://www.standard.co.uk/sport/football/chelsea/chelsea-boss-maurizio-sarri-is-tactically-stubborn-and-lacks-a-plan-b-a4010166.html Maurizio Sarri is starting to discover what it feels like when the honeymoon period as manager of Chelsea is over. It would be foolish to suggest Sarri’s job is under threat after just five months, although Luiz Felipe Scolari and Andre Villas-Boas might suggest otherwise. However, the Italian needs to add a new game-plan to his repertoire sooner rather than later. After a very promising start to life as Chelsea coach, there is more evidence that opponents have figured out his tactics. The results alone make grim reading: since winning their first five Premier League fixtures, Chelsea have added just four more in the next 10. They should have secured a fifth last night but missed a host of chances at 1-0 and then gifted Wolves two sloppy goals. Sarri questioned his players’ poor reaction after Nino Espirito Santo’s men drew level, intimating they were solely at fault for the defeat. “We were suddenly another team,” he said. “Without the right distances, our football, I don’t know why. “I am really very worried, not for the result but for the fact we didn’t react to the first goal. We didn’t react at all, so I am really very worried for this.” However, all those connected with Chelsea might think Sarri could have done more to inspire a comeback. Sarri is so committed to his ‘vision’ of play that he will not alter from it one bit. This means his substitutions are merely like-for-like rather than anything out of the ordinary. snip

16 from a possible 30 is not remotely good enough. That yields out 60 to 61 for a full 38 games. Over 40 points less than Shitty will average out probably per year over a 76 game window. Over 80 points less cumulative.
