  1. We both grew up Chels fans,so its not a mixed marriage, LOLOLOL She mostly grew up in Belsize Park, but her father, like mine was Chelsea boy from a wee age (mine did it the hard way, from Stockholm, before he moved to London). Her mum hates footie other than AIK here in Sweden (my father and her mum are Swedish), my mum is CRAZZZZY about cricket (she is Bajan ie Barbardian, and we are pretty closely related to Garfield Sobers) and has learned not to say much bad about Chelsea around us, lolol (her family back in Bim are massive (gag) Manure fans, and Forest, as a lot of them ended up in Nottingham (gag).after emigration in the 60's and 70's.
  2. Damn, well that just further makes me think nothing happens
  3. No, lol, I meant my wife, she is as much into footie as I am. Only one who posts here is me, no one else.
  4. Try these, they are a Swedish firm, from here in Stockholm. We love them, they are fun. https://www.happysocks.com/uk/
  5. Jorginho and Kovacic are two of the most intuitive MF'ers we have had in the last decade. Absolute class.
  6. When I need Balenciaga or Givenchy, I don't go looking in Primark. Pass
  7. I want hard balls! Guess I will have to settle for these
  8. I Think we are stuck this squad for the most part until amd if Eden leaves. I think Sarri and the board massively rate Luiz and Willian. Unless Pedro is bang on healthy amd if Sarri trusts Ampadu, I dont see other viable options. Alwthough I REALLY want CHO to get more playing time, he isn't a RW, so he isn't going to get any meaningful time in big games. If Hazard is injured its Willian at LW and Pedro or RLC at RW (with the 3 switching it up side to side. Cahill and (I hate to say it) AC have looked horrid at CB, so its Rudiger and Luiz or die, unless Amps slips in a wee bit. I am also resigned that Kante and of course Jorginho will always be 2 of our 3 MFers in all important games, with Kovacic fighting with Barkley and RLC (lesser for him) for the 3rd spot. Fullbacks will always be Alonso and Azpi, and CF will be Morata, backed up or rotated with Giroud. Sink or swim that is the team. I have absolutely zero expectations we do much in January. Especially at CF, as the options that are viable (true proven upgrade) will all be over £100m, unless we somehow buy Cavani as a stopgap (if price is right I am all in). I think the club is in financial lockdown for the most part until the Roman nightmare is sorted one way or another. At least we are undefeated. Lets hope it continues and doesn't implode. Sarri has indeed worked miracles, but any decent manager with say 5, 6 great players can surely slice deep into our weak points eventually. Winning EL is going to be a really hard slog, as some great teams will surely drop down from CL. I am just going to concentrate on one game at a time. Eden and CHO situs are ticking time bombs though, and need to be sorted ASAP. I have bad feeling we are going to get a right proper bollocksing by both. Let's hope not!
  9. We need to get a price from Real for him. £45m to £55m range is fair value. Anything over £65m is an absolute no go (and that us said by me who LOVES him, but I also know our board.) Why for the fucking life of me we accepted LOANING him is beyond my comprehension.
  10. We love football and watch a lot of other leagues, especially Serie A and some Bundesliga, less so La Liga, and less than that of Ligue 1. Shitty are easy to see who they will go for, as they are basically like us, but with more cash to splash (looks like that may come back to bite their cheating arses!). I (or my wife) hear of a good player, and then we will find whole games they played in and check them out. Highlight reels are okay for introduction, but you have to watch whole games to really see. Pretty much the only way I will watch a Ligue 1 game is if it to scout a player or players, and then I at least try and find a decent match, especially against a better side, to see how they stack up. Here is a list of my favourite 23yo and under Ligue 1 players (no particular order) Obviously Mbappe is my number one rate Bold are ones I really really rate either now (red) or potentially (black) Nicolas Pepe RW Lile (23yo) REALLY rate hi, would be a great buy for us Willem Geubbels LW Monaco (17yo) potentially Jadon Sancho level young winger (I call him, Sancho, and our CHO the 3 young LW musketeers) Thilo Kehrer CB PSG (22yo) Huge cock-up by the board, he would have been perfect for Sarriball, and also plays (starts at times) RB, instead we cased and got assfucked by Juve with Rugani and Caldara, who I do NOT rate over Kehrer, and who only costed £37m, versus the almost £50m we were offering for Rugani and Caldara Malang Sarr CB OGC Nice (19yo) Lenny Pintor LW Lyon (18yo) Giovani Lo Celso CMF PSG (on loan at Real Betis (22yo) Rafik Guitane AMF Stade Rennais (19yo) Keita Baldé LW Monaco (on loan at Inter Milan) (23yo) Houssem Aouar CMF/AMF Lyon (20yo) Rafael Leão CF Lille (19yo) Tanguy Ndombélé CMF Lyon (21yo) Christopher Nkunku CMF PSG (20yo) Pape Cheikh CMF Lyon (21yo) Jorge LB Monaco (on loan at Porto) (22yo) Duje Caleta-Car CB Olympique Marseille (22yo) Myziane Maolida CF OGC Nice (19yo) Aurélien Tchouaméni CMF Bordeaux (18yo) Lucas Tousart DMF Lyon (21yo) Moussa Dembélé CF Lyon (22yo) Youri Tielemans CMF Monaco (21yo) Ferland Mendy LB Lyon (23yo) Ismaïla Sarr LW Stade Rennais (20yo) Boubacar Kamara CB Olympique Marseille (18yo) Timothy Weah CF PSG (18yo) Aleksandr Golovin AMF Monaco (22yo) obviously well known here Pietro Pellegri CF Monaco (17yo) Adrien Rabiot CMF PSG (23yo) Angelo Fulgini CMF/RB Angers (22yo) Rony Lopes RW Monaco (22yo) François Kamano LW Bordeaux (22yo) Antoine Bernede CMF PSG (19yo) Yann Karamoh RW Bordeaux (20yo) Maxwel Cornet RW Lyon (22yo) Ludovic Blas CMF Guingamp (20yo) Benjamin Henrichs RB Monaco (21yo) Jonathan Bamba LW Lille (22yo) Martin Terrier LW Lyon (21yo) Moussa Diaby RW PSG (19yo) Jules Koundé CB Bordeaux (19yo) Ronaël Pierre-Gabriel RB Monaco (20yo) Ibrahim Sangaré DMF Toulouse (20yo) Sofiane Diop AMF Monaco (18yo) Nemanja Radonjic LW Olympique Marseille (22yo) William Saliba CB Saint-Étienne (17yo) Colin Dagba RB PSG (20yo) Jonathan Panzo CB Monaco (17yo) We sold him for only 3m euros, but there is a gentlemen's agreement (this is disputed) on a buy-back option (BB clauses are illegal in France) I so so hope selling him doesnt come back to bite us in the arse Valentin Rongier CMF Nantes (23yo) Enzo Loiodice CMF Dijon (17yo) Stanley N'Soki LB PSG (19yo) Valentin Rosier RB Dijon (22yo) Moussa Sylla CF Monaco (18yo) Allan Saint-Maximin RW OGC Nice (21yo) Kelvin Amian RB Toulouse (20yo) Danilo DMF OGC Nice (22yo) Presnel Kimpembe CB PSG (23yo) Wylan Cyprien CMF OGC Nice (23yo) was tracking to be a star, but had a devastating knee injury 2 years ago Jean-Clair Todibo CB Toulouse (18yo) Samuel Grandsir RW Monaco (22yo) Enock Kwateng RB Nantes (21yo) Almamy Touré RB Monaco (22yo) Jonathan Ikoné AMF Lille (20yo) Boubakary Soumaré DMF Lille (19yo) Kévin N'Doram DMF Monaco (22yo)
  11. LOLOLOL I swear this wasn't me MOTM vote
  12. We missed that, what was it? Do you have a pic?
  13. Ronaldo DID play at pure striker sometimes. This enrire convo is well past being deep in the weeds. I am noy going to start specify each and every potential tactical postion that a player could possibly end up playing when discussing a target. I often do eleborate on players like de Jong (who plays all over MF and even CB) but it gets pedantic to go through every option in terms of positional, formational play if I or others simply mean to get a player who would play in the middle of our front three.
  14. Just on this board there are tens of thousands of posts that violate your differentiating syntax. In common parlance striker and CF are used interchangeably. I understand FULLY that players play in different roles due to formational setup but we mean the person playing in the middle between the 2 wingers when we talk about Chels and our transfer targets.
  15. Firmino 27 goals, 17 assists I wish Morata had 'few' goals like that Dybala 26 goals, 7 assists (granted in 8 less games) so that works out to 30 goals, 8 assists in same amount of games, and Dybala did fuckall in the CL, 1 goal, zero assists in 8 games
  16. No one uses your division of terminology, there are millions of posts and discussions in just last year on football that use CF and striker interchangeably when I speak of a secondary striker, I call it a secondary striker Dybala plays that (or did) at Juve a lot of the time, BUT he certainly could play a straight up number nine role for us or anyone else as well we don't play a secondary striker role, are you going to say that Dybala wouldn't start for us (in place of Giroud or Morata at striker) if we magically had him on the team? I do not know why you picked now to start on this I will not change, I doubt anyone else will
  17. I have to lolol at this from the article: A player of his calibre should be starting every game for his country, yet he can’t even get in the squad. Starting every game??? Over Alba and Gaya???? lolol If either where here at Chels, his butt would be on the bench most games. If both were here, he would be sold to Real Madrid.
  18. quora, lol striker and CF are used interchangeably by all on thsi board and in real life sorry but you are fighting a losing cause (needlessly) on this one also IF we were given Firmino he sure as hell would be playing, starting over Morata and Giroud at striker, at CF at whatever position you call where thy play same for Dybala see zero point to thsi whole string
  19. Superb pass from Junior Firpo to assist on the goal for Real Betis (Lo Celso) v AC Milan here is a live stream https://www.vipleague.bz/real-betis-vs-ac-milan-streaming-link-1
  20. In his defence almost any keeper would have been. Really shoddy on our end.
  21. 3 points not so well earned, but we move on, its far better than a draw or a loss HUGE complaint CHO Sarri IS going to drive him out so fucking stupid
