His goal scoring record as a traditional fullback is pure shit subtract out 2016-18, when he was a wingback and he has 10 top flight goals in around 17,000 total minutes, all comps in his career, and I am sure some of those minutes were as a wingback too that is one goal ever 1700 minutes, or to put it another way, one goal every 19 full games many of those against shit teams this year he has 1 league goal and one goal in the EL, (versus the horrifically shit Dynamo Kiev) in 3000 plus minutes almost all his his assists came from beginning of August 2018 to September 1st, 2018, plus one on November 4th, 2018 v Palace He has ZERO league assists since then, in over 4 and a half months he has the worst accurate crossing percentage of any full-time player with 50 or more crosses in Europe's Big Five leagues, at around 9.9% (even the inept Moses, for comparison, had 21%) he is also basically worthless on defence, as even 32yo, 33yo wingers and forwards can ofttimes blow past him due to his insane lack of pace he offers nothing of value to a back 4 team trying to win trophies and/or at least qualify for the CL Here is an article that should destroy all credibility of those pushing for Alonso over even Emerson (who isn't even a great player at all) especially this ridiculous notion I see the Alonso fanboys/girls toss out that Emerson is so much worse at defence, which is just ridiculous AND it even analyses Alonso in on of his two great wingback years and Emerson still trumps him in most categories How do Chelsea’s Marcos Alonso and Emerson Palmieri compare statistically?' https://footballbh.net/2019/03/06/marcos-alonso-emerson-palmieri-chelsea-tactical-analysis-statistics/ snip Conclusion As is evident from the statistics and the tactical analysis, Palmieri beats Alonso in almost all metrics. That is not to say that Palmieri is one of the best left-backs, but his services greatly improve Chelsea’s attempt at transitioning and reforming under Sarri. It seems like the fans are right, once again. With the danger of slipping outside of the top four breathing down his neck, Sarri needs to churn out wins. Anything else will guarantee that Chelsea do not play in the Champions League next season. With both Arsenal and United picking up steam, Chelsea need to be pitch-perfect. For any club, the fans are the ones who stand by it and help it. They determine the resilience and identity of the club. With a crucial time ahead for Chelsea, the fans are standing strong and helping. For a club which has consistently overlooked its fans, its’ time that it listens to its fans’ voice. Now, more than ever, Chelsea and Sarri need to listen through the noise and pick out the signal. snip When Sarri gets the sack the 2 main frauds, Alonso and Jorginho plus his fucking over CHO (especially IF he leaves) can be written on his tombstone of blue fucking fraud of a manager another board wonder-blunder

Hello! Glad you joined. Welcome aboard! My favourite Chels players are Kante, Hazard, Rudiger, Kepa, CHO, Ampadu, AC, RLC, and soon hopefully Reece James and Pulisic. The rest need upgrading from. Cheers

If he doesn't want to renew there is zero we can do. He wants much more starting time. I cannot see that happening.
-
If we play against Benfica or Eintracht Frankfurt like we did versus Everton in the 2nd half we will get smashed. Absolutely. They are far beyond any teams we have faced in the EL so far. That said, I cannot see us having a howler like that 2nd half.

Now Giroud wants to leave, lolol. He is out of contract on June 30th 2019, so can walk on a free. If no summer 2019 window and Higuain isnt allowed to extend his loan, say hello to Bats and Tammy as our only CF's. Eeeek. If Hazard isnt allowed to go and the smoker is still our manager it will be false 9 city baby! https://metro.co.uk/2019/03/20/olivier-giroud-frustrated-bit-part-role-maurizio-sarri-ready-leave-chelsea-8953610/

Chelsea banned for TWO transfer windows
Vesper replied to xPetrCechx's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
unbelievable watch, when our CAS non-deferral appeal is heard they will deny it, so they look 'fair' then, when we appeal the the FIFA appeal (which is highly doubtful we win with FIFA itself) over the actual bans, later this year, they will not only rule against us, but increase the length to 3 or 4 windows to send a 'clear message' LOLOLOL what a sham system fucking joke -
No, no he isnt. Not at all.
-
roflmaooooooo you must be having a laugh do you even watch Atleti games??? he is well spent, a shadow of what he was at peak best in Europe like Alonso is, lolololol

Chelsea's Sarri-ball isn't dynamic or resilient enough for the Premier League https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/chelseas-sarri-ball-isnt-dynamic-14151100

Cafu probably isn't the best example. James turns 20 next mid-season, same age as Cafu became full time starter, and at 21 and 22 he led São Paulo to back-to-back Copa Libertadores and World Club championships (called the Intercontinental Cup back then), and at 23 was named South American Footballer of the Year. According to Sarri, CHO wont even start to be a top player until he is around 23, 24, so I assume for sure the same thing will be applied by him to James. Good thing the old smoker never got his hands on Mbappe or Dembele. He would probably say Kylian was not legit because he was too young. In the last rolling calendar year (vast majority as a teen), Mbappe has 50 goals and 32 assists for club and country, and a WC. NOT comparing CHO or Reece to Mbappe talent-wise btw, just making a point that one doesn't know what will happen with really talented youngsters until you actually give them a spin in league play (NO, 103 minutes out of 2610 possible with zero starts is not a spin) As if CHO would have been worse than that dreadful, piss-poor Pedro performance today was. Hell, Eden was tosh too, whole starting team was shameful.

IF we get a summer 2019 window only one name at RB I care about Aaron Wan-Bissaka soon to be best defensive RB on the planet, or damn fucking close and his crossing is already oki, and will get better if Azpi stays, it only makes sense as a backup CB or emergency fullback I am done settling for 'maybe good enough to be a top 4 struggle' mindset in terms of these spent players and tbh, with this 'one out before one in shit' (Zappa will garner a piss-pot ,,,,£12 to £15m max, tanks board!!! for yet another loss) bollocks from the puppet board I say cash in now IF we do get a summer 2019 window and dont sort our fullbacks entirely, we are fucked until 2021 you will KNOW the fix is in if we do get the 2019 summer window and Alonso is not shipped out he is a deal breaker for me, if he stays I go and do other things with my life until that twat murderer is gone no way would I slag off Azpi like that, he has been a great servant, BUT he does need to go as well if we get the window, or be buried in the depth chart, as he simply IS NOT GOOD ENOUGH ANYMORE its not like he is going to make fuckall difference (when compared to AWB or Reece) in terms of taking us up a notch. In fact it is all downhill from here so so sick of watching his dreary play, especially now with his defence going to shite, and people with massive normalcy bias and/or judgement-clouding nostalgia thinking he will make it all better and come good plus he is a weak as fuck assistant captain and, at the end of the day, part of the poison Spanish crew that needs to be put to the cosh to reclaim control like I said before in multiple posts no hazy-dazy sentimentality from this bint will you get

I honestly think we run a risk (I cannot place an exact percentage on it) of being seized if shit goes truly haywire with the yanks and, far short of that, I fear he is in (as you allude to) pure asset protection/consolidation mode which dictates (from a near sighted perspective, which is all I have seen for at least the last 5 or 6 years) no grand revamp plans and big outlays (even with offsetting sales to lower the net spend) If CFC was a firm we (my real life business that I work for, and NO I am not the top hedge fund manager, as some trolls have tried to claim I have said I am) were looking at investing in (not buying, of that I can assure it would be a go, provide the strike price was a fair one, given a future forward stance) it would be a run run run away, hell no proposition
-
If we want a max return on selling him, then this summer is the last (already depleted) go round if we don't have the summer window, then stay he must, but as long as we do not have a fool like Sarri in charge, I, at that point expect Reece James to be given fair shot to bench him I am so sick of watching him play each week at a dodgy level. and btw you say that top level doesn't matter? Serviceable is acceptable? try looking at the teams who win the big 5 leagues and the CL they don't have just serviceable' fullbacks unless you think us being at Valencia, Everton, Roma, Marseilles, Arsenal, RB Leipzig, Inter Milan (post Mo) etc etc level is oki.
-
not close BE SOLD Why should we follow our massively failing owner (from £25 billion net worth in the noughties to £8 or £9 billion now, plus now is globally hunted by the West due to Trump/Putin) down the shitter??? Plus he refuses, supposedly, per multiple reports, to sell to a Brit due to his visa non-renewal. If shit goes totally cray on the geo-political front, it wold not shock me to see us seized.
-
Azpi is toast, he maybe useful as reserve CB, especially in a back 3 (I could see him as a starter there at RCB IF he pulls his head out of his arse) but as a pure RB, (let alone a RWB, where offence is truly needed) he is plummeting off the cliff my track record of predictions since I joined here is damn good and I am sticking to this one hard
-
Its the opposite almost ALL fullbacks are now burn out amazingly once they hit 30yo (or even before) look at Marcelo but let me not stop there, as many who know me will see what I will now post WC fullbacks LB Macelo is literally the only one 30 or older (if you still count him as such) NO other ones are anything remotely close (NO, Kolarev and Monreal and Filipe Luis and Ashley Young are not even close, if you think so, I truly have to question you discernment as they have been massively injury-plagued and have been burnt like toast innumerable times) Jordi Alba is 29, and the only WC one at that exact age, so you have to go all the way down to 28yo to start to find multiple great LB's RB Unless you count the genetic freak (and for last two years utter fraud, as his making the FIFA all world Eleven for 2018 was a JOKE, especially as he only played around 20 games then), Dani Alves) then Azpi at 29 is the only WC RB above 28yo that any sane person would claim is indeed at that level (and I say bullshit atm) there are NO others over 28yo atm Sorry but Zabaleta, Lichtsteiner, Juanfran (Juve RIPPED him apart, he looked every bit the 34yo he is), and Valencia are shit NOW. Hella great in their day, but father time crushes all men (and women) so NO pure rock solid global quantitative and qualitative evidence shows that it is NO shock Azpi is crashing and burning as a fullback, especially given the insane 4300 to 4700 minutes a season he plays. for years now
-
shit bruv, can we recall him NOW (only half kidding) I think he is a potential monster
-
fair play!!! hugz
-
he needs to be sacked he is (an over-spun term but valid here) a FRAUD please take the strawman (not in terms of the logical fallacy but literally a straw MAN as in WEAK as fuckity-fuck) Jorginho with him and his love-child (roflmaoooooo) Alonso
-
his defence has been shit lately if we are not going to play a back 3 (and even then maybe) OUT he offers nothing of league winning, CL challenging play at this point no sentimentality from moi at this shambolic point
-
its horrid, I so agree I guess I should not not post, but I admit I want to stir the Sarri out pot I detest him
-
not to be rude, but that is pure rot this isn't the 1970's and 80's (and before) anymore and we are not in Serie A Azpi is only going to get worse and worse he is spent time to sell! especially if we win the non-deferral appeal and have a 2019 summer window
-
we didn't remotely have the overarching and myriad problems we have now at that point as soon as the club is sold to a proper owner, then much of that goes away
