not buying it at ALL and bullshit with him trotting out that fraud Alonso most all games until recently, and running Azpi into the ground, and his play Kovacic out of position 95% of the time, etc etc we cant buy shit now, and are going to lose more than £300m in hard offer valuations (offers from both last summer and this January) when/if Hazard, CHO, Willian, Luiz walk on frees btw, Sarriball is shit for the EPL unless we had liquidated ALL the deadwood and shit players and dropped that £620m on a mostly brand new team it will never work with who we have now, and that INCLUDES Jorginho, who simply isnt up to the EPL speed and physicality

“He should be given an opportunity” – Chelsea legend tells Sarri to give Hudson-Odoi start ahead of Willian and Pedro https://www.chelsea-news.co/2019/03/given-opportunity-chelsea-legend-tells-sarri-give-hudson-odoi-start-ahead-willian-pedro/ Eden Hazard is the only Chelsea forward deserving of a place more than Callum Hudson-Odoi, and that’s according to club legend Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink. The former Blues striker is convinced Willian and Pedro have not done enough this season to continuously warrant a place in the starting 11 ahead of Callum Hudson-Odoi. The youngster has been hugely impressive this campaign, showing strong hints that he is the man to trust on the wings. Sarri, however, has turned a blind eye to his talents. snip

Chelsea will lose Callum Hudson-Odoi unless they talk football, not finance https://theprideoflondon.com/2019/03/28/chelsea-callum-hudson-odoi-do-not-understand/ Despite no longer being the most freely-spending team in the Premier League, Chelsea still think they can buy their way out of trouble. With a team of finance people making decisions undiluted by a footballing mind, they think £100,000 a week will satisfy Callum Hudson-Odoi. When all you have is a front office and a banker in the technical area, every problem looks like a wire transfer waiting to happen. Callum Hudson-Odoi’s representatives could not possibly be more clear about what the young Englishman wants the most at this stage of his career: regular starting minutes in a top division club competing for multiple trophies. A No. 10 jersey, if one became available at such a club, would signal the commitment he is looking for. Bayern Munich understand this. They have football minds to spare at every level of that club. Chelsea do not know what to make of this. They have business people who think a check can solve most problems, and a bigger check can solve the rest. The Evening Standard reports Chelsea have raised their offer to £100,000 a week, up from the £85,000 a week they offered Hudson-Odoi in January at the peak of Bayern’s interest. Nothing indicates Hudson-Odoi will be any more interested in the extra £15,000 a week than he was in the first £85,000, as it does not address his actual desires. snip

“I would like him to be here” – Thibaut Courtois attempts to lure Eden Hazard to Real Madrid again to the frustration of Chelsea fans https://www.chelsea-news.co/2019/03/like-thibaut-courtois-attempts-lure-eden-hazard-real-madrid-frustration-chelsea-fans/ This story just will not go away, probably not unless Eden Hazard puts pen to paper at Stamford Bridge before the summer transfer window starts. The clock is not on Chelsea’s side though, with only a few months to go to the end of the season. Between now and then, many factors can influence the reasoning and decisions Eden Hazard may take on his future, and one of them is the homely feel he will crave if he leaves London, the city he and his family have occupied since 2012. But his old teammate Thibaut Courtois will be trying to help to solve that. “I don’t know if he is going to sign for Real Madrid, nor do I know if the club want him. For me, he is a great player, but I don’t decide those things. Each one decides what he does with his life. For me, he is one of the best in the world and as a friend I would like him to be here.” snip

Pulisic, 20, returned to Dortmund after leaving the pitch early in the match against Chile in which he became the youngest American to reach double-digit goals. snip

LOAN him If we start selling all our decent academy players you KNOW the fix is in with Abramovich and liquidation on the sly
-
They so need an actual RWer, as Robben is gone. Gnabry an play there but its not his natural position. CHO is starting to convince me he can play RW a bit better than I thought. Still, if I was Bayern, Nicolas Pepe FTW. Deffo before striker even. Lewandowski is on pace for 35-40ish goals and still has a top year or 2 left. They need to sell some to finance this too.

Have to agree. Other than the one-off Kepa buy that only occurred after big nose fucked us and Oblak turned us down, Roman stop going for best in world (no Kepa is not that, lolol, just cost a shedload) players well over a decade ago. Other than his first 2 years, Roman has only spent £37m total net per year on transfers. Complete myth we are a big spending club. With the bans, that will drop to £34m per year net since 2006, and less if we sell during the bans. Say a Hazard £100m sale. That alone drops it to only £27m net spent per year for a 14 year period. Btw. THAT DOES NOT COUNT LOAN FEE REVENUE. Plug that in it must be close to zero spent net. I always laugh when I see articles talking about the billion and a half Roman has supposedly spent on transfers. No biggie, those articles only get it wrong by.. OVER A BILLION QUID NET.

Fair price. Top 3 in world LB, and also a superb CB. He will mostly play CB unless Alaba goes down. Ffs, they have TWO of the top three (arguably the top 2) LBs in the world now, whilst we are stuck with pure shit Alonso and the quotidian Emerson. Plus they will have our best academy player since Terry on a free in 15 months. FUCKKKKKKKK

Chelsea banned for TWO transfer windows
Vesper replied to xPetrCechx's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
Chelsea still hopeful of making summer signings after Fifa set date for transfer ban appeal https://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2019/03/25/chelsea-still-hopeful-making-summer-signings-fifa-set-date-transfer/ Chelsea have not given up hope of being able to sign players in the summer window after Fifa confirmed the club’s appeal against their transfer ban will be heard on April 11. Even if Fifa uphold the two-window ban, the timing of the hearing should give Chelsea the opportunity to go to the Court of Arbitration of Sport and try to have it frozen until they rule on it. Chelsea were furious that Fifa refused to freeze the ban while they consider the appeal, but the process is being dealt with quicker than previous cases involving Barcelona, Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid. Chelsea were banned from registering new players for two transfer windows and fined £460,000 for 29 cases of breaking rules regarding the signing of young players. The date of the appeal gives the Blues some hope that they may still be able to sign players this summer and effectively prepare for an impending ban. Whether or not the ban is effective in the next transfer window, Chelsea fear they will have to sell Eden Hazard to Real Madrid meaning they would want to replace him and spend the cash generated from his sale. As reported by Telegraph Sport, the Blues have been drawing up a Plan A and Plan B for the summer while they wait to find out whether or not they can make any new signings. Decisions on loan players, young players and potential targets have been placed on hold while lawyers work on their case with Fifa and consider an approach to CAS. snip -

Matt Law's Chelsea briefing Who I would consider to be the next Chelsea manager? The case for Gareth Southgate By Matt Law Football News Correspondent Southgate’s work with England should make him a candidate for the top job (Credit: Nick Potts/PA Wire) The guessing games over who might be Chelsea’s next head coach have already started, even though Maurizio Sarri could still win the Europa League and secure a top-four finish. Sarri’s future is uncertain thanks to an inconsistent first season in English football, his stubborn team selections and tactics, and his failure to connect with a large section of the supporters. It may seem harsh, but this is Chelsea and time waits for no man which is why agents and intermediaries are already busy trying to push their clients to the front of the queue. Zinedine Zidane got a fanciful mention before returning to Real Madrid, while Frank Lampard and Nuno Espirito Santo are the latest men to be linked to the non-vacant post. Chelsea fans continue to sing the name of Lampard at games and his appointment would no doubt be extremely popular. In many ways, a Lampard and Jody Morris partnership makes good sense, given the impending transfer ban and the need to promote youth. But the nagging concern is that Lampard has still not completed his first year in football management and his Derby County team could still finish anywhere between fifth and 12th in the Championship. Could Chelsea really appoint the manager of a mid-table second-tier club if the Rams fade out of the promotion picture? Nuno has done great work at Wolverhampton Wanderers, but his tactics and set up are extremely similar to that of former Chelsea head coach Antonio Conte who found himself accused of negativity despite winning a Premier League title and the FA Cup during his two years in charge. Like Conte, Nuno likes to set his Wolves team up to catch opponents out on the counter-attack with three central defenders providing a secure back-line. Do Chelsea fans really want to go back to that? Or could the Portuguese adapt his methods with better players? The truth is we don’t know. Of Europe’s big name managers, Max Allegri could become available whether or not Juventus win the Champions League. He has been considered by the Blues in the past, but if they do make another change, do they really want yet another Italian? Allegri is different to both Conte and Sarri, and certainly has the pedigree to impress owner Roman Abramovich but there is a sense that, with all their challenges, it is time for Chelsea to try something new and invest in a coach who will promote their talented youngsters. Which brings us nicely on to the man this particular writer believes should at least be considered if the Blues make a change – Gareth Southgate. This will probably not be a popular suggestion with a number of Chelsea enthusiasts who will, with some justification, point to the fact Southgate has never won anything as a manager and has not taken charge of a club since Middlesbrough in 2006. But Southgate’s work with England and Chelsea’s English players should make him a candidate for the top job at Stamford Bridge. Nobody has offered more encouragement to the Blues’ youngsters than Southgate over the past couple of years. Callum Hudson-Odoi has become the latest England debutant under Southgate, while Mason Mount was part of his squad in October last year and Ruben Loftus-Cheek went to the World Cup. Even Tammy Abraham has been given two England caps by Southgate, who has made Ross Barkley a big part of his post-World Cup plans. It’s not only Chelsea’s players Southgate likes. He poached Steve Holland from Stamford Bridge as his England assistant and has praised the work of Chelsea’s Head of Youth Development Neil Bath. Holland would be Chelsea’s favoured choice to act as an interim manager if they felt they had to sack Sarri before the end of the season, which begs the question – why not go for Southgate and Holland as the permanent successors to the Italian and his backroom team? Southgate has said he wants to manage England at the 2020 European Championships and his FA contract currently runs until the end of the 2022 World Cup. But he would surely be tempted if he was offered one of the biggest jobs in club football. It is probably an unlikely scenario, but it should not be dismissed out of hand too quickly while Chelsea consider their options.
