Sarri has just gutted my hopefulness and positive thinking so has the puppet board horrid sales and worse buys, plus Sarri, have probably smashed us down for next 2, 3 years at least I am at the point where just seeing Luiz, Alonso, Willian, Pedro and literally every striker we have on the 25 or have on loan (except maybe for Tammy) all binned will make me happy I fucking cannot takes years more of any of them

I am so not convinced we can win the EL. Playing like we have ????? If we play like we did v the sheep shaggers, Slavia Praha will have a great chance of beating us, at least in Prague they are the worst team left, but miles beyond any team we have faced so far I saw them tear apart a damn good Sevilla team
-
unreal that spuds have lost 4 of last 5 and only drew the other, yet are above us on points and GD
-
pfffft 2 nil done the cunts are in 3rd by 2 points and have fuckall in terms of games they wont be heavy favourites left its going to be us v Manure and the yids for 4th I think and we have a harder schedule than they do

ffs, Newcastle looks like us on bad day in terms of trouble scoring

I do not see Arsenal taking out Napoli. I think Napoli is the best team left and it isn't close. The main issue they have (and it is a huge one) is Lorenzo Insigne may miss the first game. If he misses both, then maybe Arse have a shot. Only other weakness is that they literally have arguably the best CB (Koulibaly) in the world at one CB, but then then shit at the other one (Raúl Albiol is soon 34 and is a shadow of the beast he used to be and Nikola Maksimovic has been switched to RB). There is not a team on the planet with such a gulf between their two starting CB's that I can think of. Shocking they didn't address that. It is their only true real weakness, unless Meret is injured (he has has horrid luck with that this year, breaking his arm early on) at GK, as I think Ospina is a big meh
-
Özil has been meh this year and has only played 1666 minutes all comps, only 1249 league minutes so far Ramsey only had 3 league goals coming in (granted he has not been an every-game starter) the main reason they are where they are, IMHO, is those 2 great strikers if they had a decent back 4 they would in 3rd by ten points, Emery has done an amazing job the those shit CB's and fullbacks they have we have just had pure dross at striker since Drogba, other than 2 decent years for Costa (he was shit on that 10th place Mo team)
-
Ramsey is going to tear it up with Juve, Arse are crazy to let him walk on a free

fuckkkkkkkkk

dodged a bullet there come on Geordies!

That has been my biggest fear by far. He will so upgrade them as a whole. Even without the bans I think the board might not even make a move, as they they think Azpi is still a world class, top five RB (some of our fellow supporters are delusional like that too). I fear this year (another 4500 massive minute season) is going to make him even worse next year. We have run him into the ground over the last 5 years. Hopefully Reece James comes good quickly.
-
I know! All these articles linking us with like 50 players never mention the bans or assume they are overturned, as if that is a sure thing.

not if we upgrade and strengthened the overall team (which would happen after the bans) if the bans are deferred we could do something like this, IF we were bold enough, and this team below, with NO Eden is infinitely better than the one we have now, and is far more flexible in terms of systems as well

not enough of any one particular thing it is ludicrous for Sarri to try and turn him into an AMF at best, in sorryball, he is a stopgap backup for the turgid Jorginho he is much more suited to a trad CMF role in a league like Serie A or the Bundesliga he is too small for the EPL in that role, or as a box-to-box I just dont think a 4 3 3 the way Sarri insists on will work in the EPL, and certainly not with the players we have, as there are farr too many square pegs in round holes, of a staggering lack of quality We are incredibly weak at both fullbacks,, DH DMF (Jorginho is simply overwhelmed by the EPL), one CB, and also at CF (so fucked unless Tammy blows up) and at RW, (if CHO doesnt get BIG playing time next year, as Willian and Pedro will really start to collapse due to ageing) 4 2 3 1 is an answer, but again, we need huge huge upgrades, and after the Barella/Paredes cock-ups, we did have a chance to grab (we tried on the last couple days) a perfect double pivot MF to partner with Kante there (at least for thsi season and next until the bans are over) in Abdoulaye Doucouré from Watford (over a full seasons minutes he rates out to 6,7 goals and around 10 assists, which is great production for a CMF, plus he is a beast on defence, PSG made an offer, but then pulled it after they signed Paredes). In hindsight, that fail was also a pretty big one (given the bans), as he is more versatile and overall a superior football to Kovacic.
-
your maths do not add up you said 8th to 11th lets say Wolves does keep team together and add 4 or so upgrades that leaves us in 7th, and I so doubt Leicester will be able to keep some key players, plus you would need another team above us and Leicester if we are 'battling for 8th' as Wolves only makes 6 teams above us both Many big teams will really come after Chilwell, Ricardo Pereira, Wilfred Ndidi, Youri Tielemans (who is only on loan anyway), James Maddison, and Demarai Gray., maybe Harry Maguire too. I dont see how they will hold onto many of them, they are a selling club. Also, if we do not get a window, I just dont see us selling Eden, unless it is a HUGE offer, and RM is looking at many other layers as well, so I dont see them tossing £100m for Haard when they can but other much needed players and get him on a free in 15 months finally to get to 11th place, THREE other teams beyond Wolves and Leicester would also have to leapfrog us there just is not that many good teams in the EPL to do that consistently the only way we collapse for 3,4,5 years is if we (and this IS a possibility, a true nightmare, if Abramovich is actually in liquidation/cash draw-out mode due to sanctions) lose CHO, lose Eden, Pulisic is a bust and Roman completely turns off the cash for any transfers of worth. At some point, if he does try that, the outrage would be so high that the EPL and the FA might step in (only if it was blatant beyond all doubt). Newcastle's cunt of an owner is treading a thing line already in that direction, but he always tosses out just enough cash to keep the PTB at bay.

Chelsea transfer ban lifted as they promise Fifa “not to do it again” https://www.caughtoffside.com/2019/04/01/chelsea-transfer-ban-lifted-by-fifa/ Chelsea have surprisingly seen their transfer ban lifted by Fifa after a second appeal to the world football governing body was found successful. BBC Sport previously reported that the Blues had failed to convince Fifa, having been hit with a transfer ban after being found to breach regulations with signings of some young players. However, it seems a second appeal from Chelsea at the last minute has been enough to win them over as they absolutely vowed they would not break these rules again. A Fifa source confirmed to AF: “We have decided to overturn the transfer ban on Chelsea Football Club following a second appeal. “Chelsea assured us they are really sorry about what they did and that they really, really want to change. “Of course, we have been here before with Chelsea [over Gael Kakuta in 2010] but they seem really sincere this time. There is a lot of regret there.” snip -
