  5. The two MUST win games that are the hardest are away at Valencia and Ajax at SB. We should beat Lille at SB and a draw here works for me, although I obviously want all 3 points and to win the group. This fixture was the only one I was less than confident of winning when the draw came out, but then the nightmare of that Valencia SB game happened. If I could reverse any 3 games this year, I would pick that 2 goal lead blown draw v Sheffield United (if we had come back from nil 2 down to draw I would be so much less vexed!), the Super Cup (it is a major trophy, I care!, plus it was the fucking Bindippers) and that Valencia game as it was a home loss in the CL against a meh side. Obviously the draw v Leicester (a damn food team) was not ideal, as was the league loss to victimpool (I still would trade a Super Cup win for that league loss) and I didn't list the Manure 4 nil game as we never had a chance (all the rest we did.)
  6. 4 potentially, as Reece and Azpi can both play CB, especially Reece (Azpi is only good in a back 3 at RCB)
  7. Completely disagree, they have upgraded a lot in the back 4 and MF the past 2 years. If they are healthy I think this may be their year. In no order, the strongest 5 CL teams (Laporte out FUCKS Shitty atm, but they will grab a CB like Skriniar or another in January) PSG . I love their team when healthy. Barca (on a roll now that Messi is back) Juve (Sarri is such a tosser, he is now back to super flexible tactics again, cunt) Shitty (IF they fix CB) Bayern (along with PSG, my two dark horses, PSG even more) Lesser shots Bindipperpool's lack of depth is a big issue, if they had even half or two thirds (let alone all) of our injuries, they would be ratfucked. No EPL title and smashed out of the CL. They are so thin on so many utterly key areas. Atletico Madrid, Simeone needs to sort their offence Real Madrid, still a hot mess Even lesser shots Us Inter Milan Borussia Dortmund Napoli Ajax Spuds Lyon RB Leipzig Zero chance for all the rest
  8. For CB, unless we sell AC (and we simply MUST sell Zouma next summer, he is never going to be good enough) I have only one want there, and it is now amongst the most important needs on the team, A TRULY WC CB. (with winger a close second, and a cracking young actual DMF like Florentino of Benfica or Camavinga of Stade Rennais (my number one choice, he is a potential Mbappe level (albeit different positions) freak and only 16) OR go vet route and buy the superb Thomas Partey from Atleti, who only has a £45m release clause and is worth 75 to 80m ) I have posted my choices multiple times Romagnoli Ibrahima Konaté (probably my first choice, he is a BEAST, so big, tall, strong, pacey, a terror) Skriniar (Shitty will go all out for him, Conte will fight to keep) Giminez Marquinhos and maybe Dias Koulibally is now too old to buy next summer (he turns 29yo in June, so not worth the €100m or so that the poison dwarf will still demand). We simply must have 4 quality CB's (Zouma, as stated, needs to GO, he is not good enough, not close) if we are serious about being a top 5 to 10 in the world team, and other than Rudiger (who is top 20 or so but not top 10) we do not have that KILLER one now. Tomori may get there, but do we really want to roll with only him, Rudiger and AC? My answer is NO. IF one of those 3 goes down, we then have NO quality backup/rotational CB's. I do not (and here I am probably falling into another poster's 'blocking youth' paradigm) rate Ampadu as a CB at the moment. He is getting zero minutes at RB Leipzig (a bad loan destination which I called as soon as I saw it) and I see his future in MF anyway. I think of all the positions, my predictive track record for all teams in terms of their CB's is rather good. I alone or close to alone (from what I have seen) predicted the nightmare for Shitty they now face, and that was PRE Laporte injury. Losing him for 6 or 8 months really is going to fuck them hard. I said the same for Arse and Manure as well, and well... Luiz, roflmaoooooo. I said Barca will have issues as well, due to their swing and a big miss on De Ligt and that is being born out now too (Umiti is injured yet again, leaving a 19yo Jean-Clair Todibo as their only backup). Victimpool has been saved by the elevation to near WC by Matip (not exactly out of nowhere, but still Klopp has turned him into a monster, beyond what I thought possible, Gomez's injury was a strange type of godsend for the Bindippers, as it truly unleashed Matip to go full-blown beast mode at a point in his career that usually doesn't see such upward moves in terms of quality of play.)
  9. I agree on the tactical defensive end. The one thing that Willian still offers in spades is his defensive okay and track backs. He is still absolutely world class in that area, which is why so many clubs wanted him, especially Barca, as they had immense firepower (still do, just a little less as they age) to make up for his lack of goals. Willian has been a pleasant surprise so far, along with Tammy and Tomori. Jorginho has been close to the best (non AMF) central/deep MFer in the league so far as well. Even Alonso has been far better than last year. Zouma is my main 'arrrrf' player so far, other than his aerial skills, and even there he has been hit and miss. Pedro has been meh meh meh too. Cannot wait for all these injuries to go away! Rudiger, RLC, and wee baldy especially. The other ones just need to continue to play their way back into form.
